We like this bench for its easy assembly and sturdiness. We also realized that it provides a lot of possibilities for customization. You could paint it for whatever color matching your intended usage. It is a very good bargain for your money!

This bench has been an awesome addition to our kitchen table! It's the perfect size for our 2 year old & 4 year old. Instead of cushions on top, I opted to add a vintage sheep skin rug on it with a quilt & that has made it super comfortable for sitting. I LOVE the storage underneath (it's the reason I bought it)! Assembly was easy & it's a super sturdy bench. I highly recommend this bench & would definitely buy again!

Wanted this for kids bench at dining table, and it does the job for that, but beware as there's a large gap through the middle all little crumbs/playdough/sticky bits of food fall through it to the storage below so you can't actually store anything very good down there if using as a bench at the table....and it is incredibly difficult to clean! Tried tying cushions to it but they just slip off - or kids slip off them backwards so wasn't any good. Like the idea, but for kids bench and storage ikea would have to skip out the gap through the middle!

Relatively straight forward to put together following the instructions. It appears good quality and sturdy. 2 fit perfectly under our rectangular table. Great that these benches have added storage! We have hard flooring and by placing felt pads under the feet of these benches they now slide beautifully across the floor!We actually viewed these in our local IKEA store prior to purchasing so we knew what we were getting.
I bought this bench as extra seating for Christmas, which the idea that it’d also double up as a coffee table when not in the dining room. It is beautiful!! I dark waxed it as soon as I got it home and I am in love!! It’s a perfect coffee table, footrest and amazing for storage! I am considering buying another one for my other sofa!
We modified this! The front facing lower board we used as a shelf in it instead. It meant drilling 4 holes at mid height. Using the screws supplied. So we now have two shelves for shoes. The lower shelf holds a UK size 7 shoe, the mid shelf holds UK size 10.5. I painted the bench with Valspar sage green paint. Adding Ikeas beige sheepskin rug to the top. A cream cushion. It all looks fab, great price, v happy.
I recently moved into a studio, so space is limited. I bought this bench to use mainly as a coffee table, but I love that I can use it for seating, as well. I stained it with an aged wood accelerator to match my other furniture. It was easy to put together and is perfect for the price.

Super easy assembly.I stained and varnished the boards before assembly to ensure a nice finish. Came out looking real nice.Now for the bad and the reduced score - check out the photo with the "boots" in the lower storage area. Looks like it can handle some decent sized footwear, no? I suspect whoever took that photo lopped the toes off the boots to get them to fit (unless those are gaiters?). The interior width/depth of that space is 8 3/4" at the bottom, the sides taper in so it's even smaller than that. My size 10 1/2 canvas tennis shoes are 11 7/8". This product is one of the best things I’ve bought in a long time. I was busy, so my husband put it together (in 15 mins he said). The storage area at the bottom is great, and especially so for our very small bathroom. And the scent of pine from the bench hits me every time I enter the room. Great!
The assembling seems smooth until I put in the last screw and I was so frustrated that the screw just can’t go in. I tried to unscrew the previous one and hope it will work for this last hole but no way can the screws provided be fitted into the last hole. I believe there is some defect in the last hole. I don’t want to reassemble it and neither to return it back to the store. don’t have the energy to bring it back. Quite upset after spending the time in assembling the product and found out at the end the product cannot be assembled properly. Hope missing the last screw won’t affect the sturdiness of the bench!!!!
