Comfy, stylish chair in good condition after 3 months of use. Every visitor wants to sit in it!I was however hoping for more of a classic rocking chair action since it’s marketed as a rocking chair, and this one kinda just subtly tips forward and back only a little. Some people love that. Great for if you feel fidgety or restless. Just not the rocking chair I dreamed of. Keeping it anyway though because we like it.

I ordered the full Poang chair and I received only the structure without asking me if I agree with this. I tried to cancel the order 2 times in that day and it didn't work. How convenient the system, right? I waited 10 working days for the ''humble" voucher of 5 euro that covers a new Poang pillow delivery and now the pillow is more expensive with 30 euro than in the day in which I ordered. BRAVO, IKEA! Never, but never recommended!

I bought 2 chairs when you first opened at Springwood. They have been used constantly & borrowed and returned to friends several times. We are moving into a Hope Is. Tuscan Villa and thought we would buy 2 new ones to continue our comfortable journey. Have given the old ones to charity. They are still going strong. Thank you so much. Sandy

I was excited and expected a decent rocking chair for the price of over $250. But It BARELY rocks. I'm so sad by this purchase. I feel like SOMETHING has to be wrong or defective with the amount it doesn't move. But no, it's just how it is. If you want a decent rocking chair this is not the one. I just can't describe the disappointment when I sat down 9 months pregnant with the image of rocking my baby and then a borderline painful, jarring rocking experience ensued. Don't buy this. You will be dissatisfied. I am 5'3”
Buyers beware because the labels in the showroom floor and the pick up area are mixed up at IKEA Navi Mumbai. We only averted post-purchase problems because this is our third Poäng rocking chair in our third country of assignment! Yes, my wife and I can rightly evaluate& compare at least 4 different countries' IKEA service and India's is unfortunately the worst. Plus, we drove all the way to Navi Mumbai to purchase this, only to find that no IKEA staff were there to help us sort out those mixed up labels, where the displayed chairs were different from the labels attached to them. BTW remember to try out the 3 or so different shapes of Poäng cushion to find the one that fits your back the best.
I attempted to assemble by myself and almost had it. Hubby stepped in for the last few screws as I somehow had 2 in the wrong place. It finished up fast after that was figured out. The instruction pages are good enough but could have been better. The wood feels a little 'thin' but it is holding weight (275 lb tested so far). Nothing cracked or split! The cushion looks a little thin but over all its actually comfortable enough. I needed this to fit in a small corner in a room and the size is what I needed as well as a mid-century type of look. Checks all the boxes. I think the quality will hold up well. Scandinavian minimalist but sturdy. The yellow is brighter than I wanted but toned down with a comfy afghan.
This is a simple, elegant rocking chair that is fairly comfortable. However, if the top corners of the armrests were a little rounded, it would make the chair more comfortable. Also, the chair is light. On a smooth floor, it tends to slide back a few inches when I sit down, unless I'm consciously gently.
This is not like 1st version and wood version is not smooth. Top pillow is not comfortable. wood finish is not good like old version Bamboo wood. Wood appearance is not good like Bamboo wood. I have the 1st version for 8 years. Accidently I bought these, two in India for my parents in Hyderabad, so I can not return due to my parents very far from the shop.
we have also the matching chair and our cat loves it. A bit too much. The fabric is not easy to clean of the cat hair. The matching chair was bought almost a year ago and the fabric has become quite a bit lighter so it will not be a complete match for the next year!
it's fine but it doesn't really rock much at all. I would just go with the regular poang chair and save some money. this is sort of designed to not rock like if you made a car without wheels so you wouldn't get into an accident. otherwise it's fine. I returned it because of this. I fee like the regular POANG chair has almost as much movement as the rocker version. Why pay more? Note: I have carpet. Maybe it's more rockin' on a hard floor. Also if you wear ankle weights or iron boots regularly this might work better for you.
