Not happy at all. Expected better quality from IKEA - The Mattress is loosing its shape after few weeks of use. We are no heavy individuals. I am 80 Kg/ my partner is 52 Kg. My side is sagging already more than hers. Body impression on both sides. Matrasses' edges are too soft. The "Firm" description of IKEA convicted me to buy online. IKEA you managed to fool me. This is poor quality mattress for $799.00 !!!! is not worth $200!!!

We purchased this about 6 months ago and since day 1 we find it super comfortable, firm with a good support. It's thick so it doesn't easily bend and it gives a good style to the bed as it looks high quality. Also the fact that it's with springs is really nice because when one moves on the mattress, the other doesn't really feel it as each sprint is independent.Since I'm using it my lower back pain is much improved. My sleep quality as well. Overall i can only recommend it if you want a good back support and a medium hard mattress.I just wish the sides of the mattress were beige or grey instead of blue.

I have previously had the Hövåg mattress and had no issues at all, was one of the better mattresses I’ve slept on. Especially as I have suffered with mid back pain most of my life, I got the VALEVÄG as it advertises as the replacement for the Hövåg - if you are thinking of purchasing this mattress for this reason, think again please. I haven’t had lower back pain ever before or mid back pain like this in years, I even replaced it for the medium/firm one in hopes of it being better but the mattress is sagging already and is so much worse, not sure what to do at this point. Truly shocked at the quality decline of the mattress since I’ve had it and the pain it’s caused, wish I could rewind and never have purchased it to start with.

The mattress - VESTERÖY pckt spr matt 80x200 - says it is 200cm in length on the website - on the order it says it is 200cm in length - on the mattress packaging it says it is 200cm in length. However when rolled out it is only 190 cm in length - leaving a gap on the bed.Not impressed!Solution would be to have a mattress the size I ordered - IKEA to arrange pick up - while delivering a mattress of the correct size - I have not the means of transportation for an unrolled mattress.Apart from that the mattress has the comfort I require!
I got this to replace my previous Hovag mattress. I chose medium hard. For the first week it was great. Weeks 2 to 4, I woke up with back ache every single morning and found the mattress to be very hard. I am in week 6 now and whilst the mattress has softened up somewhat, I still wake up aching most days. I am giving serous thought to upgrading to the one with two sets of springs (also starts with a V), but not sure I can be bothered with the hassle of that. I am a side sleeper and had shoulder issues last year that required physio therapy which is why I decided to get a new mattress in the first place. I suffered with back pains before the shoulder pains started so I just really want to find a comfortable mattress that works for me. I wanted to love this one but so ... Well I haven't bought an ikea bed for ten years. They used to be good quality mattresses back thenNow I feel the quality has dramatically changed. I wish they didn't remove the old ranges aa they were much betterThis very limited new selection of mattresses seem poor quality in my opinionEspecially noticeable if you sit on the edge of the bed or getting in and out and touching the edge ...it just collapses and compresses down. There is no support at all on the edges of the bedThis needs to change ...you can't sink Into the bed frame everything you sit on the edge or end of the bedVery unstable and poor quality. The video footage of the other style the Vagstranda mattress shows you what I mean ....the man in the demo sits on the bed and the side collapses in on ... I had tried the Hovag at a friends house and was saddened to find that I couldn’t buy it for myself. So i went to the store looking for something similar and tried all of the showroom mattresses. Most mattresses in store felt too soft and cushy. I was looking for something quite firm as i have a stuffed back from sleeping on latex for the last decade. I needed hip support badly. The only two which i felt came close to Hovag was this one in extra firm and the pricier vatnestrom in extra firm. Was happy to discover that this is vacuum roll packed and was easy to transport home in my car with the seats down flat. If you want to save money on shipping and can get down to a store, this is a good way to save some money. It is quite heavy though.Ive had this mattress for ... Definitely recommend.
May have been our fault for trying to jump from a memory foam to a pocket sprung, but despite being wary because of the low price and only 180cm depth took a chance. Unfortunately the step was too far and despite being very supportive it just wasn’t that comfortable and no cosy feeling, so ended up having to return it.We went for firm, after a firm memory foam, but perhaps the med/firm would have been better, but the limited foam depth over the springs means there was little comfort factor which wasn’t evident from the 10 minute try out in the store. After a little bit of stress (they don’t roll back up well for return) IKEA were great with the return after a week and we went for the new Aneeland hybrid in med/firm. More expensive but we’ll worth it and very happy ... I had bought HÖVÅG pckt spr matt DBL firm/dark grey AP before I purchases this and now they have discontinued selling that mattress anymore i think the reason is that bed sags exactly happened to me. I had used that mattress for a year though and now yes it started sagging and I couldn't slept on it to the point that my back started hurting. And now before 3 months I exchanged it for Ikea with their refund and exchange policy I got this mattress. I am not the person who can afford hundreds in mattress. So I chose Ikea and still chose this mattress and now just in about 2 months guess what? it starts to sag. Now this is worst than before. I would even have made peace with myself had it lasted a year and now I called Ikea for an exchange they would not do it as per ... But its frustrating now I have to throw it away and buy a new one. There was little to no help offered to me considering even this mattress has warranty on it.
I got medium firm one to replace a medium firm Hovag (which was fantastic). Valevag is much softer in comparison. It looks good and feels fab for first 30mins but after a full night's sleep my back was killing me. The comfort zones are not practical, they make the mattress feel uneven and way softer than it should be and make it sag in those soft spots. I had to take advantage of the exchange option Ikea offers to get a different make.
