I’m so happy that IKEA has finally supplied a black greenhouse! I bought the biggest size, I have about 10 plants inside and I can fit some more if I want to. In Montréal, there are no stores that sell greenhouses. At least, not the size that I need. I didn’t want to make the trendy IKEA DIY greenhouse either because I don’t need a large one. The size is perfect for my dresser. At first, I thought it was holding in the humidity, but it just took a bit of time to stabilize. I’m not sure why there are so many bad reviews - it’s very easy to return items to IKEA and it’s easy to get a replacement. Mine was fine, no issues assembling or any aesthetic defects. This greenhouse is honestly worth the $40-something I paid. The style of it is a bit odd, but it doesn’t the trick.

I have been an IKEA fan for a long time. This is by far the worst product experience I have had. It seems they are willing to cut many corners at the customer’s expense. The pieces are all crooked and the screws are flimsy plastic. It takes too much time to drive there for a refund. IKEA quality is now on par with the dollar store 🥲

I wasn’t expecting much based on the other reviews, but dang this thing really is quite flimsy. My biggest disappointment is that the bottom doesn’t even attach, which I didn’t realize. I’ll have to come up with a creative way to secure that I guess. If it cost any more than it did I’d probably be upset since it requires quite a bit of modification, but it’s cute and I’m excited to put some plants in it.

Lightweight, but sturdy enough for my needs. The plastic snaps that secure the top panel proved absolutely impossible to use though. They were not long enough to snap securely and I had to replace them with machine screws with nuts. All and all, it was less than $0.50 in extra materials, but I almost never have to do that with my Ikea products so I'm a little bit disappointed.
I've never been that disappointed in an Ikea product. For the price I taught I was getting metal and glass. Turns out it's metal and plexiglass (plastic). One of the latches that keep the door open was loose in the box, not weld to the frame. One of the plexiglass panels was cracked. The whole structure is flimsy, the bottom is not attached to the top so it's hard to move it without a mess. With shipping it cost me 75CAD. I've been needing a green house for my baby monstera thai constellation but I'm not sure it will work.
I like the shape and the way the lid works. It has room for taller items, whether plants or other things. I would also like to get the bigger version of this greenhouse, I purchased the smaller version. It is not glass which I see a plus so there is no potential for sharp breakage. I would always like things to be cheaper!
I was so excited for this. I drove from Iowa to Wisconsin ikea to purchase this and other items. The day I got back to Iowa I went to assemble this thing. I thought I didn't have enough strength to put the rivets together, so I asked my boyfriend for help. With any slight movement, the rivets shoot off and go across the room. I basically wasted money on this since I can't just go to the store to return(my store is atleast 4 hours away. I am just incredibly disappointed. Please improve this design.
Very cute little greenhouse. Ours did not come with the correct parts though. They sent 2 little bags of the same thing. It was parts that snap together to secure the top in place. So, I am not sure how to get the parts. Overall if this were tan issue I would say it is a nice inexpensive little greenhouse.
The whole greenhouse is beautiful and was easy to assemble excluding the rivets. The back side of the greenhouse where the rivets need to be added are the most painful and irritating task. It took me an hour just to put the rivets, try to put one the other one comes off. There were slight scratches on the glass as well. But please please do something about the rivets.
Just terrible. Totally unuseable as a greenhouse for you plants (ie it’s intended purpose) and there are gaps and gapes everywhere. Nothing is flush or aligned, totally wonky door with only one door prop working beciause everything is so wonky, the perplex iisnt nicely secure and rattles around, and for some reason it’s not a whole unit. It’s a top that you plonk on a completely independent base. Not sturdy, secure or easily movable. Because of all the gaps and holes the humidity is the same inside as out. Why did they get rid of socker and replace with this.
