Generally, this cover for MacBook Air was flawless...until a small piece breaks off after simply touching it, picking it up. It happened at the location of a small retention tab that secures it to the laptop.For the price ($50), I would/did expect it to not break in just over 4 months. I always treat my equipment very carefully. When installing the cover, I noted the small and âflimsyâ plastic parts and wondered how long they would last. I got my answer.If the product was more robust and had not broken, I would give it 5 stars.

I bought this case for my MacBook Pro. I loved the light blue color and texture of the case. It was very lightweight and easy to put on the laptop. However, it had cracked within six months. I am very careful with my laptop, but both the front corners had multiple cracks. A few months later, a small piece of plastic broke off on the bottom. Overall, this is a great short-term case, but it is not very durable.

Review is after 1 year of use. I purchased this product to protect my MacBook from scratches due to every day use, not necessarily for protection from falls or dropped items on it. Upon receiving the item and opening it up I was a bit disappointed at the feel and fit. The product felt like a hard plastic that was potentially brittle and didn't align properly with certain parts of my MacBook. I had to really push on some parts of the bottom cover and it almost felt like it was being stretched too far. Looks fairly nice, but like several reviews I just read... the bottoms case does not fit quite right. Top piece fits well, but no matter how many times and how hard I try, I canât get all the little tabs to stay hooked on well, if at all. If I do manage to get them on, half donât feel like they are on good, yet will not clip on any better. Sure enough, a few minutes later they will pop off. If I try any harder to get them to stay Iâm genuinely afraid I will cause damage to my brand new MacBook Air. Got the case on sale though, so I paid less than most reviewers did. Thus, not sure if itâs worth the hassle of returning. Then again if it refuses to stay on at all after a few more days, I probably will.
Purchased this for my grandson going to college. This is his first year and I wanted to set him up with a good computer. This covid virus has made him miss graduating high school a different way and I feel he got cheated on memories. He raves about how he enjoys his computer and how much he enjoys. I purchased a carrying case for him and even the hard plastic case to cover his computer from scratches. It is his little baby and wants to take care of it.
I have used and abused my MacBook air for the last 6 years. Went through 2 batteries due to excessive use. The one thing that has kept my laptop in good shape is my incase. It has slipped out of my bag while standing ( I got lucky on that one or two), and constantly falls off my bed which is about 32" tall. Every time I cringe. And, every time it has worked. Knock on wood! I am looking to purchase a second one for my other computer.
PROS:1. This case is very sturdy and has a good feel and look to it.2. This case was the only one I could find that has good quality and good reviews for the m1 MacBook.3. They also advertise this on the apple.com website and I got yellow tag savings on this item.4. It snapped in pretty well.CONS:1. I'm not a big fan of the dots but they have grown on me.2. Two of the corners is cracked but it is not a big indent. ( This happened when I was applying the case.)Overall it's really the only good case out there for the new mac book m1. I'd recommend this to you and I got it on sale.
This case simply does its job. Itâs a hard shell case, so it has some durability. It looks great on the laptop. If youâre going to buy an adapter for your laptop (which you definitely should since youâll need one for using USB, HDMI, etc), make sure to buy one that doesnât directly attach to the laptop because youâll have to take the case off to do so. Get an adapter that has a chord coming out of it. Therefore the chord part being plugged in into the usb type C port, and not having to be attached. Oh and the only problem about this case, is that it smudges easily, but that doesnât make it a bad case.

And since its a hard case, I can easily swipe it down with vinegar, alcohol, or a wipe (I loved disinfecting even before the pandemic, so I'd do this anyway).At first I was disappointed that I couldn't find an affordable hard black case in stock, so I went with this one because it was available on the same day as my computer pickup. Horrible business to deal with. My hardcase cover has cracked in 3 different places in 5 months. When purchased I looked for year models but could not find any specified and went with the one listed for MacBook Air 13.3. It fit and had no issues until I noticed the cracks, even a crack around the pedestal pad on the bottom. They are denying warranty due to their lack in specifications, stating it is for a 2018 only. A computer illiterate fella such as myself seen no year model described on Best Buy or Incase website.Short but sweet, do not do business with this company. They do not have clear specifications on year models nor do they back their company when it truly is not a fitment issue.
