Bought because of Black Friday deal. The dial on the side of the Roccbox seems to be very accurate so infrared thermometer not essential but gives confidence that the inside is fully up the temperature as you learn to use the oven.

Battery door will not close. And the 9v batter did not come with handle. I’ve tried two different 9v batteries and the door won’t stay shut

I really like this to check the temp.I don’t know that it’s an essential, but if you like to have a bit more control in the final product this helps!I use it a bit more at the start, I like to know when the stone is at temp, start great, finish great!

Does a pretty good job. Not particularly accurate at low temperatures but for confirming the stone is above 400 it does the job. Blue light and laser are good features.

love it. Lucky I have it as the built in thermometer is no good. But as time ha gone on and I have become the master chef I knew I was I don't need either.
