I use these for my winter runs, especially when then temps dip below 40F. I put these as my base layer and my normal wicking running socks as a second layer. This ensures my feed don't get cold and that I don't get a frostbite. I have run in these socks with temps in teens without any issues. The one thing to keep in mind though is that you don't want to wash them too often. Because these are made of Merino wool, there is no odor and you can literally use them everyday and not wash them for a month. Washing them does reduce the effectiveness of these socks. This is probably one of my favorite running items.

No matter what product I use, whether sock, cream, salve, wraps, bandaids, or any combination of these, my toes always blister on long hikes. I went on an REI backpacking trip earlier this year and one of the guides was trying out these socks. I finally purchased them and work them while camping/hiking recently and not one blister! These are so comfortable, not too thin, and it doesn't feel like you're wearing a toe sock. My only downfall is a tiny little toe and the sock is made for a longer toe. A little sewing modification will fix that right up. Highly recommend!

I bought these socks to wear on a Rim To Rim hike at the Grand Canyon. After hearing multiple recommendations, I decided to take the plunge and give toe socks a try! Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. I actually used them as a base with light wool socks as a second layer. At the end of the day, I had zero blisters. They were very comfortable. There was a little bit of extra length in the toe area, but it didn’t bother me. These socks are great for hot weather and long distance hiking. For reference, I wear a size 8.5-9 size shoe and I bought a size Small.

I am very prone to getting toe blisters since my outter toes kinda curl under a bit. I tried moleskin, tape, thick socks, etc. and nothing stopped the blisters past mile 4 on a hike.THESE ARE MY SOLUTION! I do not like toe socks generally. I was very skeptical at first, but by the end of my first hike (approx 8 miles) I had no blisters. I was also wearing a new pair of boots at the same time so I was breaking those in too. I was impressed. As far as size is concerned - I'm a very solid 8.5 US Womens, I almost never deviate from that size regardless of the brand. The XS-S had me concerned since that is the upper limit of the sizing. I was worried about excessive "toe crotch wedgies" and that being very uncomfortable, but no issues. Thin, yes, but still enough to wear alone; no second sock necessary!I really appreciated these since my feet swell/expand as I transition to zero drop. There is more material around the toes which may necessitate a wider toe box. If you are already just fitting in your shoe, these may cause tightness at the toes.1. Prevent friction blisters2. Allow toes to communicate with the rest of you regarding the terrain3. Helps with moisture management4. Could result in lack of freedom of movement if your toe box is already just fittingBut for me, in Topo Pursuits, I love them!
I'm a women's size 7.5 wide. I got the small, which is my usual size in Injinji. I found these wool liners to run slightly small, as the socks were very snug around my feet. It was also thinner than I expected, even though I know it's a liner. I'm returning these because I'm most worried about a thin patch where the threads come together. One little snag and I'm pretty sure these socks would be done for. I ordered three pairs and at least two of them had the same thin patch. I ended up buying toe socks from Etsy instead. I do appreciate REI's buy 3 get 10% off promo on socks.
I really wanted to like these. The reviews are pretty compelling, and I am not disagreeing with any comments that have been made.I think my feet are pretty typical; nothing special. I did my own experiment, wearing one Injinji on one foot and a typical line on the other. I did 4 multi-day backpacking trips, putting in 8 to 15 miles per day. There was no difference in the way my feet felt at the end of the day or the end of my trips. Here are the things I didn't like.First, you have to pull them over each individual toe. I am not a limber guy and it was so much easier to pull on my old liners sitting on my sleeping pad in my little tent vs leaning over and pulling the Ininjis over each individual toe.Second, they are left-right specific. If you are one of those people (like me) who loses an occasional sock, you may end up with a pair that only works if you have two left feet.Third, they are more expensive than the regular liners.Fourth, they didn't make my feet feel any better at the end of the day.
I bought a few of these from REI a couple of years ago and while they did not last, they were the only game in town. Now with the advent of so many other manufacturers, these are just overpriced. Just do a search on Amazon and you will find several brands like Vwell that sell you 4 of these as a package for the same price. The socks for Injinji and these other manufacturers are sourced from the same factories in Asia. Injinji had a good run due to first mover's advantage. However, I would strongly advise to do your due diligence before buying these as there are much better (and cost effective) options available. Not recommended anymore.
I am trying toe socks for the first time. I don’t have any current issues with toes chafing but thought the idea was cool if I ever have that problem. I have longish toes and size L fit my size 13 feet fine. For comparison I mainly run Baleaga blister resist socks. I did that the injinji are more slippery and I’ve had issues with underfoot sliding and not quite blisters but “annoyment” of my foot.I’m also bought the Injinji midweight crew (not mini) and that one seems thicker than these minis. One odd thing I did find during Bandera this year was that my pinky toes were free to splay outward more and I managed to rip off my pinky nail on the side of my shoe during downhill. Normal socks keep the toes more bound. Not entirely sure what to make of that, but it ... MoreI am trying toe socks for the first time. I love how these socks feel, but they just don't last. I've had bad luck in using them as liners when it comes to durability, and they won't even make it through a weekend backpacking trip as standalone socks. Sadly these are the only toes socks I've found thus far that don't irritate me between the toes on downhills. A positive that I rarely see mentioned that applies to toe socks in general is that they make walking with soaked feet far less gross feeling, and of course there are many other benefits to toes socks as well that apply to these. If they could figure out a way to make a durable, pliable and thin toe sock I'd be on board, but my wallet cannot abide these.
