I am pretty sure I just found the best vlogging camera ever. The camera is super compact with a flip screen. I can vlog with just the 35gram camera or with the camera inside the action pod. Even when vlogging only with the tiny camera, I can still preview from the action pod. What's more, the camera is waterproof up to 16ft. And it comes with tons of mounts, the hat clip, a magnetic pendant, and my favourite pivot stand. You can take the base out of the pivot stand and attach it on a tripod.It's also a lit action camera. The footage is butter-smooth. I don't need to carry my gimbal, and bulky gear to shoot videos anymore. This is the best purchase I've ever made for this year. Highly recommended!

The app that it comes with to view, download, and edit video files is free (GoPro’s costs $). I believe you can also hook it up to your laptop if you prefer. It uses a shared WiFi network to send content across devices which I found convenient.For the price point, I am a bit disappointed with the resolution - not that it’s bad at all, still high quality (2.7K max). I think just knowing I could have paid 100 less for something with 4K+ is a bummer. But depending on your preferences it makes up for that in the detachable pod that extends the battery life and versatility of use significantly - think interesting angles, placing it in really small and delicate spaces. It also has great multipurpose presets for resolution, filters, and lens styles built into the device.The product design encourages you to detach it and use it with one of the magnetic accessories - which I did find useful on my cruise when I went underwater or walking around. Unfortunately, it does take some getting used to which side is the correct side up of the pod once detached. There aren’t indicators. I low key forgot, missed, and had to switch the orientation of some of my underwater footage afterwards. I also wish that the battery life was longer with the pod attached, and the storage was not dependent upon what’s built into the device. I never ran out of space, but maybe 5-6 hours into one of my destination days with on and off use the battery called it quits. This sounds like a decent amount of time until you compare it to the longevity of a newer iPhone. And when you’re super busy you may (like i was on le cruise) not have time to offload content from the camera to your phone and free up storage.i took the pod underwater several times and think the 16 feet is plenty. Unless you’re doing some mad diving, it should be enough for you too. The pro of the camera design is that it has a full touchscreen that you can use to view content and navigate through different settings. I found the user experience much more enjoyable than competitors. I also enjoyed that the touch screen can flip to face the subject while filming, and when you detach the pod you can also view the perspective of the camera on the screen. The con is that the body of the camera is water resistant, not proof. Only the detachable pod is waterproof to 16 ft (specs online say 19 but my box says 16, idk). And once you detach the pod and turn off the body to conserve battery, you no longer have a way of viewing the camera’s perspective.I have found this product serves my needs well and works as a wonderful companion to my adventures. However, I do look forward to upgrading in a few years when the new model hopefully gets on the same level with the specs of its competitors and works out some kinks. If they can fix the memory and resolution limitations, they’re golden.
This is a good little POV for a short time. What I mean is if you are looking for something small and compact its perfect. Riding a bike through the trails, doing POV instructions vids like mechanical work this works. However this little thing heats up. Havent used it to point it shuts down to cool but it does get got hot. Since that battery heats it then drains. I tried the lower setting and the same thing. Now this can be just the one I purchased but doubtful. I still will grab point in shot the small factor still holds its value. Video comes out good for the small pixel and where its being posted. Overall it gets the job down but will of course need the bigger versions for the bigger jobs. Final words I would like to see this prices at least a hondo cheaper.
I really like this camera for my needs. It does not have 4K so for some it’s a deal breaker, however during the day at 2.7k resolution is just fine. Night time recording is subpar, but thats to be expected from such a small camera with a small sensor. Knocking off 1 star for night time quality, not being 4k and camera body not waterproof but only splash resistant. Camera itself is waterproof. Other than that its lovely and fits what I want to use it for. Also, its kind of expensive and bestbuy service is becoming worse and worse. Had shipment delay and bestbuy did not even tell me, when I called they seemed not to really care. My next purchase will most likely be from a different retailer.
I really wanted to like this camera. I was very happy with the video quality and was taking some videos of my family. I reviewed all my footage on the app and decided to download the ones I liked. That’s when the problem started. Once I exported the video file from the app to my phone, the audio was out of sync with the video, not just in 1 video but all the ones I took. It only happened when I exported the videos, the videos on the app were fine, no audio issue. I tried different video modes and even a factory reset on the camera, but still the audio would not be sync with the video, it seems like the audio was about 3 to 4 seconds behind the video.
