Doesn't produce anything that I would bother to show anyone else.Lensrentals is a great resource to be able to rent this gear to try - and NOT have to buy. Some reviewers have warned about the mobile app being spyware. Turns out you can download the footage w/o having to use the mobile app, but it does have to be processed by the desktop app. Still room for spyware, no?

The selfie stick is of poor quality and not completely invisible. The tripod is of poor quality and not at all sturdy. No way to balance it with the weight of the camera. It caused my camera to fall and already damaged the lens though from a very low height. I would not recommend the ultimaxx bundle. It is less than two weeks I got this camera and it is already damaged.

I had dismissed 360 video for some time (why would you want that?), but my wife made me reevaluate it and now I'm hooked.It's by no means perfect - you'll never get true 4k final results let alone 8k, there are stitching lines, it's not so good in low light (or slightly better than low light) and there's a lot to get your head around during video capture. I've found the whole experience really fun and presents a new challenge to a world of video and photography that hasn't (really) changed that much in a long time.The Insta desktop software is easy to use but doesn't stitch clips (easy to do after in any basic video package like iMovie, for example) and the mobile software also works well for those that want to be social quickly and aren't after a true professional look. Both are capable of great results though, and make something very powerful easily useable for someone that has at least basic knowledge of working with video. A complete novice would struggle without help IMHO.Ultimately, this has unlocked a new world of creativity for me and I'm very excited about using it.

I'm a professional documentation specialist at construction sites and I bought this camera as a replacement to my x3 version. I don't use it for videos, just 360 photos and always shoot at 18MP PureShot. There is no difference between the x4 and x3 when it comes to that, but the only reason I bought it was because some time ago I purchased the Insta360 GPS Preview, just to later realize it doesn't work with my older x3. If that wasn't the case, I would have bought another x3 instead.
I've been using the Insta 360x3, and the thing I didn't like about it was that at 29minutes, the file ended, and a new one started about 10 seconds later, creating an empty gap in the video. When I heard that the 360x4 doesn't have this gap, I immediately got one. I haven't fully tested it yet, but it does seem that the gap between files has been eliminated. However, other problems reared its ugly head during my tests. The first problem was when I tried to record 360 8K in my living room. The ambient temperature was around 75 degrees F (28C) and at around 25 minutes, the camera shut off with a warning that it overheated. The next day, after recharging the batt, I tried 360 5.7K+ and again, it overheated and shut down. Where the light is intense, there is no detail, it is completely white, and the shadows are darker and have more noise. (All sponsored influencers are trying to compare both cameras in the standard profile to keep a record like X4 is better, but when they do not compare both cameras in HDR mode or LOG-Flat profile, X3 is better. (To get high dynamic range, it is necessary to choose one of these profiles anyway. (Not standard profile.)They have removed the feature of taking bracketed DNG photos in HDR photos. X3 has this feature. But X4 does not have this feature. It is an important feature for photographers who want to take high dynamic range photos, especially for those who take indoor virtual tours.The X4 is larger and heavier than the X3.---------------Conclusion:They increased the resolution to 8K by reducing the pixel sizes, but since they did not develop the sensor technology, shrinking the pixels and letting in less light decreased the image quality produced per pixel.Unconscious consumers who do not have the opportunity to buy and compare both cameras will fall for the 8K marketing trick and think that the new camera is better than the old one and want to buy the new one, but it is not possible to say that the new camera is better than the old one. On the contrary, it's even worse...
I've taken this out on a couple ordinary journeys and made them special. The simplicity of using this device with the selfi stick makes it so easy to shoot everything and work out the framing later. The horizon stabilization makes this work like a steady-cam, pretty amazing! The Insta360 Studio App works well, I'm struggling with getting the same results with Adobe Premier Pro, but I'm no a Pr expert.
I've been a photographer since I was 17, and now am 36. I went to school for Photography and have used nearly ever format of camera and lens type imaginable. This is the first camera I've ever used that truly creates exceptional and out of this world footage. Using it couldn't be more simple. Just choose your mode, start recording, and edit later. Absolutely fantastic camera, and for the price, it's exceptional. If you are thinking about getting this camera, go for it!! You won't regret it.
This is my first experience with 360 video, and my first 360 camera so I am a newbie to this genre. I don't know how this camera compares to other options but I am very happy with it thus far. The camera and supporting app deliver as advertised. We produce a lot of event video and I just threw this in my gear bag and learned on the go during several events. The camera and app were easy to figure out and we were adding 360 footage to our productions in short order. This is an easy 5 out 5 for me.
