Greast pressure cooker, but the air fryer basket is smallI was looking at pressure cookers, but I was also tempted to get an air fryer too. We just don't have the space to store two units, so I was very interested in this unit. Fortunately is was on a special offer, meaning that it was cheaper than buying my preferred separate pressure cooker and air fryer units.I'm happy with my choice with the small reservation (hence 4 stars) about the size of the air fryer basket. you can air fry without the basket meaning the space available is larger, but there's nowhere for the juices to drip away during cooking. As my primary usage of this will be for pressure cooking, I can live with this.In the few days we've had it, I've done a whole 2Kg chicken (28 mins pressure + 10 ... MoreGreast pressure cooker, but the air fryer basket is smallI was looking at pressure cookers, but I was also tempted to get an air fryer too. Pork loin chops in the air fryer weren't quite as successful, I think I did them for too long as they were a bit dry, but it was the first time I'd used an air fryer. Some time thie week I'll be trying oven chips for the first time, hopefully they'll come out better than the hit and miss results I get using the fan oven. The air fryer lid is quite big, but fortunately it just about fits in the cupboard space we freed up for the unit.Overall I'm very happy with the purchase and am looking forward to experimenting to find out what it can and can't do well. It certainly should save a few pennies on the electricity bill as it cooks quicker than the oven and uses less than half the power even at full chat!3 people found this helpful

Absolutely love my Instant Pot Duo Crisp & Air Fryer Multicooker. Have been using it almost every day for our family evening dinner. It’s bigger than I expected and all foods come out as expected and take less time to make. From stews to roasts to Indian dishes, right to perfection. The air fryer is the best! Crisp up nicely with less oil. There Lots and lots of recipes on YouTube. Even Room for improvising my own recipes. So far all dishes have come out as expected, tasting absolutely amazing. My oven and stove have almost become redundant! Saving on energy too. Definitely worth the money!

I purchased this Instant Pot before Christmas and I can honestly say that I have used it almost every day. I use it for pressure cooking vegetables. Unlike my old pressure cooker it doesn’t seem to overcook them, however I do use a steamer inner pot that I purchased from Amazon. I pressure cook, then roast a chicken which tastes delicious every time. I have done rice pudding, chips, bacon and cheese toasties. Also slow cooked casseroles. It is so versatile and also easy to clean. I am still experimenting and have used recipes from Pinterest which have helped no end. Absolutely Love it!

I've been cooking for years and years. I've tried all the gadgets and over time sorted out what worked and what didn't. Counter space is rather scarce in my kitchen and this does take up a big chunk, but to be fair and honest, it's been one of my top five best investments of all time. The ease of not having to even start dinner until an hour or less before serving it and the fact that literally any recipe can be adapted for it once you get the hang of the thing has changed my world. Pasta always had to be cooked separately which meant another pot and a colander to clean and now the instant pot does all the cooking in one pot. I got the 8 qt. size so that it would accomodate a whole chicken or a turkey breast but it's so roomy that I can make a pot of chili, have it ... MoreI've been cooking for years and years. I got the 8 qt. size so that it would accomodate a whole chicken or a turkey breast but it's so roomy that I can make a pot of chili, have it for dinner and freeze enough for two more meals! And don't let the fear mongers keep you away, the safety features make it practically impossible to mess up and the air fryer is just that much more of a plus. SO glad I got it. Get rid of your crock pot!Update on April 17th, 2021. I'm finding that the air fryer complaints are warranted. The basket really us substandard to the overall quality of the pot. That said, taking care not to scrub, but soak has helped and placing a piece of foil underneath also helps cleanup. It has a very small cook area for air frying as well, but for just two of us, it's ok...not great.
I purchased this on Prime Day and got a great deal. I finally gave in and purchased this after I bought each of my daughters one and they love it. I had used an air fryer in the past and wasn't impressed. I also have another pressure cooker but it's too small. This thing is huge! I was immediately impressed with all of the features from air frying, pressure cooking, slow cooker, Sous Vide and more. The directions are very simple to understand and you can be cooking in minutes. My first attempt at air frying was chicken wings. I simply sprayed them with olive oil and added my seasoning. Nothing else. I cooked the raw, frozen wings for 18 minutes, flipped them around half way through and I had some amazing crispy, juicy and flavorful wings. I then tried some jalapeño poppers and they were done in about 10 minutes, crispy and golden brown. I'm yet to try the pressure cooker feature but I am very optimistic that it will do my venison roasts justice. The size is perfect for my family and I. The price was great. The ease of use is amazing. It is super easy to clean. Overall, I can't believe I waited so long to make this purchase and I know it will be used a lot.
I love that I can pressure cook breaded chicken and still make it crispy. KFC I believe was one of the first fast food outfits to use the joys of pressure cooking to make the famous original recipe chicken. Chicken must be cooked properly and completely cause it can contain bacteria that can make you sick. In the past home or restaurant would have to carefully fry breaded chicken for a long while before it was fully cooked to serve. The pressure cooker changed that, but you didn't get the crispness of frying or deep frying. Here you can pressure cook your own chicken recipe, then set it to air fry and crisp the outside to perfection.Versatile is this device and most of Instant Pot products, so you can do almost any type of cooking imaginable. Easy to navigate buttons, a decent guide to how to use, will get you up and running fast. Plus, there are many accessories available for these. One of my favorites is the fridge magnet, it does not come with this but it's inexpensive, and gives a quick guide to most types of food cooking for the Instant Pot. You likely won't use all the options frequently, but depending on your tastes, the few you do use near daily will make fast work of the cooking process. Well built little machine, competitive with the price of those new air ovens, yet does more, and mostly better. Recommended.
I bought this after initially thinking of buying an air fryer. I decided on this one as it combines slow cooking, pressure cooking, air frying and other options. I choose the 6L one as there are only two of us and I thought it would be big enough. I'm already regretting not getting a larger size. I'm still getting used to it. I've used pressure cooking the most, mainly for soup which has been fine. However chicken thighs were over cooked so I will do them for a shorter time next time. Slow cooking option has been great so far in everything I've cooked. I haven't tried the air fryer yet but it seems too small to do a full meal for the two of us. That is my main reason for regretting not buying a larger size. Unsure whether I should buy a separate air fryer as I ... MoreI bought this after initially thinking of buying an air fryer. This does, slow cook, pressure cook , air fry and grill. Those are the functions that I have used.It It is easy to use. Pressure cooking is a revelation , quiet and fuss free. The ability to sauté ingredients before adding water etc means that making soup , or a slow cooked casserole is truly one pot as you do not need to do that do that separately. The stainless steel pan is robust and there are no worries about damaging non stick finishes. It is energy efficient and warming up pastries and pies does not involve heating up a large oven. The only thing is that you will need to find space for the air fryer top , and you need to be sure to use the heat resistant pad to put it down on. Locking the pad on to the top for storage takes a little working out but once done easy.
If you're looking for an efficient, easy to use kitchen appliance that can do it all, look no further!I'm a restaurant cook so two things are true: 1. Most in-home kitchen appliances fail to do the job as effectively as I'd like and 2. When I do cook at home, I'm preparing something I don't have to fuss over. With that said, the duo-crisp was worth every penny. I'll start with the air fry/convection roast function because it's the most impressive. Want perfect chicken legs? Want restaurant worthy dumplings without having to mess with a stove top steamer? Steam function, 10 minutes from frozen. Done. And you can do it while you're in the shower without worrying about setting the house on fire. That sad frozen piece of pizza from the day before? Air fry, 3 minutes and it's heaven. This machine has been a force multiplier in my household and has made cooking so painless. I always spend way less time cleaning pots and pans and grease traps. If I had the space I'd buy two and run them simultaneously.
This is an amazing little cooker. I have always been a little wary of Pressure Cookers - have had an old one in the past and sustained steam burns - but this one seem to be foolproof! The addition of the Airfryer lid makes delicious, tender roast chicken really simple and in under an hour. Roast potatoes done too! Pressure cooked an 8lb turkey for Christmas in 50 minutes, then air fried the top for 10 minutes and whilst it rested, roasted the potatoes! Have made scones in 12 minutes, a veggie filo pastry pie in 20 minutes! Saves so much time and money! And makes cooking, fun!
