Intel Core i5 12600KF 10 Core Processor [BX8071512600KF]

For my new build i went with this Little BEAST of a CPU, it has all the cores a gamer would want (6p cores) and (4e cores) for anyting else that you have got running in the background etc.. baseclock speed is decent at 3.69Ghz(3.7Ghz on paper) will boost upto 4.6Ghz on load. Originally i was going to get the i7-12700kf... but after many many hours of research i found out most games wont be using all those 8 Performance cores, unless video editing is your job.For the cooler i went with Noctua D15 because of how quiet the fans are and the cooling is one of top for air cooling. AIO are good but some fans are noisy.This will be Heart of My X-box and mini work station for many many many many many many many years to come ^_^

I just upgraded from an i7-3820 to this i5-12600KF and the difference in speed is incredible. I didn't expect it to be this fast. Paired with an EVGA RTX3070Ti FTW3 I can run MS Flight Simulator on max graphics at 1080p/60fps or high graphics at 4K/60fps. It's a beast.

Awesome gaming/multi-tasking CPU

I decided to try Intel 12th gen for my latest build after having used AMD for my previous 2 builds (most recently from an AMD 3600). The 12600KF easily powers through any tasks I assign it using all of its cores and threads. Exactly what I was looking for.Power usage was much lower than expected, despite being a 125W CPU I observed the CPU using HWMonitor rarely go over 65W during gaming and casual usage, only when facing the all core CPU intensive applications like Handbrake conversions did it need to stretch its legs and use the full 125W TDP its rated for. This CPU does not include a cooler due to its 'K' designation so don't forget to purchase one.My only gripe with the this purchase actually had nothing to do with the CPU itself. Walmart.com shipped the CPU in its retail carton inside of a padded enveloped; it did not hold up well and the retail carton was crushed on several sides. Luckily, the CPU itself seemed fine and hasn't had issues. Still, I have probably ordered 30 CPU's over the last 20 years for various builds for myself or friends and that was the first time I have ever seen a CPU shipped in a padded envelope and not a separate box. Deducting rating points for the subpar shipping method didn't seem fair as its not any fault of the product, just wanted to mention it.

Easily the best CPU rn

The K version has a IGPU which is interesting although completely unnecessary. The KF allows you to over-clock but doesn’t have the IGPU which basically means it’s a regular CPU. It’s a powerful CPU which ( disregarded because of misinformation ) is better than most i9s.

Great CPU and performance

Paired this with an Asus STRIX-E Gaming, so far it's been working flawlessly, tried me a couple of games but another reason why? The move to PCIE Gen 4, the speeds of the NVMe are mad. My two previous build have been with an 8 core CPU, this one has 10, but it's good enough for everything I'm throwing at it, so maybe I'll just keep getting the i5, save the extra $$$ for a better motherboard with all the bells and whistles, after all, the motherboards are getting more and more expensive every year.

Great performance for an affordable price

I managed to get this CPU at a very decent price with a bundle including a compatible motherboard. I recently installed both parts to my computer and everything works perfectly fine.The shipping and delivery was also perfect and fast

It's been almost 7 years since I got a processor upgrade, had been using a 6600k since its first release back in 2015. I spent most of 2020-2021 hesitating to buy the 5600x but with stock issues I decided to wait until this came out and bit the bullet... I have to admit I am very satisfied! Perhaps the 6600k aged very badly but I was no longer able to play a games like R6 Siege, mind you I am using an RTX 3060TI & 32GB of RAM, wether I put graphics all the way to the minimum the processor was always at full load. Upgraded to the 12600K and am running at over 300 FPS!!! I also tried Breakpoint and was hitting over 70 FPS with the processor only at 30-40% load haha but the 3060TI was at 98%, so I suppose the graphics card is the bottle neck now.

Most Powerful mid range cpu I have ever owned.

Amazing CPU. Intel is back in the fight with 12xxx and upcoming 13xxx series. This CPU performs as well or better then AMD's Ryzen 7 5800x depending on the task.

So far so good

It's been running well. I have the z690 tuf gaming motherboard. The only thing worth mentioning is that when installing the cpu on to the motherboard it was making some creaking noise which made me extremely nervous that I would crack the cpu.It didn't crack and it's been running ever since (2 weeks).

Top tier performance for mid tier price

I pre-ordered this at the moment it became available after the Intel announcement because I needed to upgrade from my Ryzen 2600 which has been a big bottleneck in my system. Ive been rooting for AMD since Ryzen launched but when I saw the 5600X pricing of basically £300 I decided I'd wait to see what intel brought to the table. £260 for a CPU (12600KF), that contends with the almost £400 5800X, is the clear winner. I have no brand loyalty because corporations don't care. I've got it under a Noctua NH U12A Chromax Black, which comes with the LGA1700 bracket in the box, and the 12600KF settles at around 65c in majority of my games which include titles such as: COD MW2019, BF1 and BFV, Forza Horizon 5, GTA V, Mafia Definitive Edition, RDR2, and othersI am running it with MCE off which means it uses stock clock speeds. I have seen some cores hit 4.9GHz for a few seconds in very low loads but in gaming the P-cores stay at 4.5GHz and the E-cores bounce between 3.4 and 3.7GHz. Total package power in games stays around 50 to 75WI haven't got other CPUs to bench this against but according to reviews from sources such as Gamers Nexus; LTT and Hardware Unboxed, this i5 beats the 5800X in almost every game, definitively beats the 5600X in all production workloads, and even gives the 5900X tough competition in gaming. For the current pricing it's a better buy than AMD's offering
