Pros: Another fantastic generation from Intel, prices have risen a bit but that's to be expected in this economy. I do like that you are able to buy variants without integrated graphics as that helps cuts costs.I'm yet to find a task that bottlenecks the CPU in a detrimental way to my workflow, and it smashes every game on the market at the moment.Cons: As with all modern PC components, would be nice to see some price drops in this field. It's becoming a rich hobby again.

What an absolute beast! This is a great CPU for 1080p gaming and esports titles as it can really allow the GPU to run free without a bottleneck. It’s a great price as you get similar game performance to a 13900K but it’s a lot cheaper.I’m cooling it using a 240mm Corsair AIO and it actually does a fantastic job (was worried before stress tests). I’ve taken off all power limits and torture tested all cores and it maxed at 83 degrees at 5.3Ghz. So if you have a 360mm AIO then you would have more room for overclocking and I will probably upgrade to that in the future.If I was looking at doing for CPU all-core demanding tasks then I would recommend the 13900K or the newer Ryzen line up. Runs like a dream. Thermals with an aio are fantastic especially when streaming. Don’t need an i9 unless you are running everything at 240fps at 4k Omegalul
Powerful CPU but really needs either a high end, large air cooler or at least a 280mm aio to keep the temps reasonable during gaming.
I have this cpu paired with an rtx 4080, usage in CP2077 is around 50%, gpu at 90-95. Maybe I should have gone 13900, not sure, but I would rather have a higher gpu than cpu usage.Great performance, I run iracing alot, sits at 6% usage, love it

So far so good! When I get more time I'll have a bit of a tinker in the BIOS, but I did give it a modest OC on day one with good results.
It runs hot, that's the thing to remember. But then again it's supposed to by design. Not a fan of that personally, but it is what it is.Other than that, this chip does what it needs to do. Just make sure decent cooling is your next port of call if you buy it
