I bought this specifically because it has rod holders.Only problem is they’re absolutely useless…If you’re looking for a simple boat for fishing while towing a camper trailer this isn’t the boat for you.If you just want to row around a little then it’ll do the trick

The included pump is more efficient than it appears. 9yr old and 6yr olds managed to do some inflating, which didn't take too long. The valve inserts allow the dinghy to be deflated pretty quickly for shoving into the boot of the car. So far it has given great pleasure this hot summer. I guess we are very fortunate to live by some lovely sandy beaches which make continuous use of the dinghy rather easy. We have added a sturdy rope to the bow end which is used for towing the girls along in the sea. No rowing in earnest has yet been attempted! We also take the garden spade to the beach (it builds bigger sand castles and deeper moats!) to drive into the sand, with rope attached to stop the dinghy blowing out to sea. It's easily done folks. A great buy and good value ... MoreThe included pump is more efficient than it appears. 9yr old and 6yr olds managed to do some inflating, which didn't take too long. Glad to finally have one of these inexpensive little boats in my possession. Perfect for in car trunk, allows me to fish deeper waters easily without lugging a canoe or kayak through a small trail, and doesnt involve waders and fins that a float-tube requires. The inflation serves as a good warmup before paddling around a lake. The quality of the material is what you'd expect for a 200 dollar fishing raft. A few notches up from your standard pool-toy material. The only complaints about the product would be the same that others have said, the paddles are sorta weak for how hefty they are, and the way it was folded in the package at the factory caused some creases in the vinyl that seem to have stayed even after two inflations. My hope is that these dont turn into ... MoreGlad to finally have one of these inexpensive little boats in my possession. Durable inflatable boat set with oars and air pump. Survived snag on branches in water without visible damages. Great for weekly use.
I bought this boat for my wife to use in our private lake. It is easy for her to handle getting it from the house to the lake. It is easy to inflate however there is a slow leak in the outer most section of the boat. Can’t find the leak but think it is coming from the valve. I would not take it on a long trip without bringing the pump with me. The system to hold the oars in place is poor. As you row the oar starts to works out of the oar holding ring and towards the end of the oar.
The intex seahawk 2 is very easy to inflate and get in the water. I really enjoy using it! However, it is not a two person raft. Well, not 2 adults anyway. I tried going out with my wife, I’m 5’6” and she’s 5’7”, and it was a no go. It is almost impossible to row while in the raft with her. There’s just isn’t enough space. But then I took my 7 year old daughter out, and it was perfect. Another thing I noticed is that it needs some kind of seat to prop you up. Without it, it is difficult to row if you’re short like me. Otherwise, if you’re looking for a well made, inexpensive raft, to just get out and goof around in, this is it. I would recommend to anyone just looking to have some fun on the lake/pond.
After inflating the Seahawk 2, I could see it was too big to fit in my Mazda6, so I deflated the outer shell and it fit in nicely with the back seats folded down. I took it out on the Tennessee River at Harrison Bay and paddled around for an hour in the wind and small waves. I am a lousy rower so it didn't look very professional, but I had a ball. It was a good purchase for me. Next time I'll take my fishing rods, and try paddling rather than rowing.
Just received my SeaHawk II and I am so excited! I previously owned a Sevylor Hunter and I am pleased to find that the SeaHawk is of the same quality construction as the Sevylor for more than half the price. The material is thick and heavy and should be able to withstand some dragging on a rocky beach. Has Boston valves, three inflatable chambers and comes with a pump and oars. The Sevylor has more inflatable chambers making it a bit more safe if one springs a leak. I have not inflated it yet and experience tells me that the oars may not fare well in the ocean, but that simply means buying larger, better quality oars which is what I had to do with the Sevylor anyway. I am very pleased I shopped at Walmart and got this great deal. This boat would be ideal for a lake. ... MoreJust received my SeaHawk II and I am so excited! This is my second Intex Seahawk 2. These are nice made good heavy vinyl and have not punctured in ponds with tree roots, rocks, etc. I carry it over rocks and do not drag on the ground for extra protection. They will seat two but I like to use it as an alone boat and have room to stretch out my legs, put in a cooler, my fishing gear and just enjoy. In the state of Ohio you have to license these boats. You can type in "certificate of origin for Intex boats" and it comes up where all you do is put in the HIN number found on the box and on the boat. That will print off a two page certificate, you take it and the proof of payment and go to the state park office and get your registration that goes on the boat there. It does not have a carry case, but you can get a Christmas tree storage bag and that works very well.
We bought this for our week-long family reunion, down in a canyon. Our 3 grand-kids used it to float around a dammed-up section of the creek. The kids were between 4 and 6 years old, and fit in the boat fine. They loved it. We had temperatures over 90 every day, and the kids spent hours in the water and the boat, under the watchful eyes of their parents. The creek and the boat were the hit of the entire reunion. For the price, it would be hard to find a sturdier, handier boat. It was used roughly, up and over rocks, and there were no leaks. After inflating it, it stretched a bit...to be expected. Next morning we added some air, and it stayed fully inflated for the rest of the week.It might be a bit on the small side for two large adults, both fishing. If only one ...
