This boat is very sturdy in construction. I found it held its line well against small waves and wind compared to another inflatable I have with no keel shape. I consider it to be good quality, but time will tell if that is true. I bought one month ago. Compared to other water craft you can purchase $360 is way cheaper. I am looking to go for a motor next to add to the experience.

I know the general rule is to do a trial assembly at home before heading off, but I was in a rush and just drove out to the Whiteshell with it. There I found out that all four of the one-way Boston valves leaked. Fortunately I had brought a Sea Eagle product along as well and those valves fit the Mariner 4.I've taken the boat out with a Minn Kota 30lb motor and it performs fine. This is on pretty small water: Betula & White lake and Whiteshell river. Hard plastic floor is a nice feature, though half the weight of the boat seems to be there. But, I don't like the oars, which seems to be a common complaint.I would give this another star, except for the leaky valves. However, In the end, I like the boat well enough that I've ordered a sail kit for it.

Used it a lot over the summer on lakes around Alberta for Pike and Walleye fishing. The semi-solid floor makes it more sturdy, but still a bit sketchy to walk on. Overall, really enjoyed it, felt very sturdy and solid.Pros: Fairly quick setup. Sturdy. Feels very good on the water, great to use with a trolling motor.Cons: Its fairly heavy, hard to move around with only one person. The storage bag it comes with is low quality and isn't big enough to store the boat and the fold up floor

Bought this a few months ago. Took out a few times already on small lakes and Lake Winnipeg. The boat held up very well even with two adults and one child in it with gear. I power it with a 40 lbs thrust trolling motor and move pretty well even when the boat is loaded. This boat is not a speed demon by any means. But it is a cheap and very fun alternative if you cannot afford the space or have the money for a real boat. I find setting up very fun. As it gets the family involved.I recommend this boat to anyone wanting to leave the shore especially for fishing. It will get you to your spots no problem. Not to mention the cult following it has on Youtube. This boat is so customizable, you can make it your own. I highly recommend it!
Bought this with the optional transom kit on sale in April of 2023. Used it couple times with my wife, daughter and a bunch of gear using a 55 lb thrust trolling motor and it worked surprisingly well. I used the stock inflatable seats and didn’t even have any back or joint pain after sitting in it for 4 hours straight. Last trip we put about 12 km on it. With two people it sets up or packs away in 15 min.
I bought this boat three summers ago to float down the Peace River (which we used to do as kids). I've had it on three multi-day trips and it's great. Highly recommend - good for two people with overnight gear. Pumps up fast, no issues with leaks, and is very comfortable. Like the floor too, especially if you have a cooler or want to set up a lawn chair. :)
After doing some heavy research I picked this up after selling my flat back canoe in favor of something a little more portable as I have a very small car. In the end, it has blown away my expectations regarding sib'sI have only owned it over a month now but have used it numerous times for fishing excursions across Eastern Ontario including a family swimming trip off the boat. I run a 12v battery and a trolling motor which alone I can boast a hefty 5km/h across a lake usually netting me about 4 hours of various trolling speeds and traveling before I would be concerned about the battery level. It has plenty of space for a solo fishing trip and enough space for a small family outing.Unfortunately, there have been others who have purchased one and have had bad ... MoreAfter doing some heavy research I picked this up after selling my flat back canoe in favor of something a little more portable as I have a very small car. It has plenty of space for a solo fishing trip and enough space for a small family outing.Unfortunately, there have been others who have purchased one and have had bad experiences, but I myself have had no issues aside from the carry bag which I destroyed from packing too much. So I roll it and place all the gear in the back of my hatch. In terms of rigidity, it fairs well for the price (think entry-level). The Boston Valves haven't leaked from the threads, chambers still hold air separate from the others, and the seams are holding in all areas. If I were to criticize any parts it would be the floor, It is pretty stable with people standing on the inflatable hull and slats but can be a little wobbly/springy which does not bode well while cranking a large fish up. The only leak I've had was my seat cushion which got spiked from a large catfish I hauled in (Quick strip of duct tape solved that mid leak).Overall, I love this little thing. I intend on adding a 2.5hp at some point but in the end, I have nothing but great things to say about it.
At first trip the carrying bag got torn along the seam. The bag is very important, the boat is very heavy and bulky which makes it hard to be carried! The boat material looks strong but folding it without sharp edges, which leads in cracks over time, is imposible. I noticed a leak between two compartments, and valves have to be tight hard to hold the air. I did some research on their site and no bag for sale. Used it one time, but not happy with it, can't return it, so I am gonna sell it! Save the money for better one!
I have now bought two of these in the last 5 years and while they Are enjoyable, while they last, they have a pathetically short lifespan. We have only used are second one about a half dozen times and once again it is losing air through the air valve assembly/seal, and is basically now useless. The patching (which they acknowledge is necessary by including with original kit) just doesn’t work to give you any reasonable lifespan for the boat. What a tremendous disappointment, 60 day replacement warranty, gee it’s not hard to see why that ridiculous policy is in place. I’m now out over a thousand dollars and no boat for the summer. Thanks Cabelas.
i have owned this boat for 10 years and used handful times each summer.I added motor mount with 12v trolling motor and bimini top cover.only down side is the carry bag is garbage. the bag is too thin(weak) and small.
