This is a fantastic unit & I highly recommend it. It has many great features that other humidifiers don't have (sterilization of vapor, humidity sensors etc), is a nice looking unit & handles large rooms very well. The lights on the front are bright even in night mode, but that wasn't a concern for us. It's similar to a night light, so great for kids. The unit itself is quite large & the tanks lasts us days as we are only running it at night at the moment. If you are a light sleeper, the gurgling of the water going from the tank to the diffuser section may wake you if you have it near the bed, but you get used to it & it's only intermittent. Capable of keeping a room with the size stated on the product page at the level of humidity expected. Large capacity enough to last the whole night running at full, though it's rarely required to operate to that degree. Has a limited set of controls to set sensor and timer-based operation.The only feature I'm missing is to have some degree of smart home integration. At the very least a way to make it turn on based on sensors.

Saw this model in a doctor's practice and read about the benefits of a humidifier for lots of useful health benefits. This one is pretty quiet and has a long lasting big water storage. Used this also when I had a head cold overnight on the 'common cold' setting and I woke up feeling less gluggy.I like how you can set the humidity or let it do its auto job and it works away quietly with auto switch off and on to the desired setting.It does dribble a little bit of water when you refill the tank as you have to take the tank off and turn it over.Added bonus if you have some indoor orchids or plants that need some TLC too.

Had to wait nearly 5 months before I could get any replacement parts which was quite annoying as I had just gotten a new born at the time and we live in very cold environment. Only reason why I'm giving 4 stars is because the staff kept me up to date of when the product was available to purchase. Down side, there was no alternative product so I had to use the old filter which you could tell was dying.
Does everything as advertised, but louder than most.You can zone the sound out if it's far away enough, but I wouldn't advise it for a smaller room both due to the noise / blue light you can't turn off.Other than those 2 gripes I would say everything works well, definitely outputs a lot of moisture & will help if you get blood noses or like to blast your room with panel / fan heaters for long durations. I would also say it's easier to keep clean & seems cleaner than other humidifiers.

The mist doesn't reach more than 60cm maybe 1m into the air and the humidity sensor system is a complete failure. Depending on which direction the mist is being blown, the sensor will reach very high levels within a seconds and turn off. Turn the mist in a different direction and it will continue to blow forever and never reach the desired humidity level. So in shirt, the mist isn't dispersed effectively and it generally just "humidifies" a small area around it (on the surface it's sitting on). After seeing my GP who had the same issue with winter heating creating high humidity and family health issues (ongoing colds) he had spoken to a respiratory specialist who suggested using a DEhumidifier in winter. So yet another $300 later the Ionmax 612 dehumidifier does seem to be clearing my infection up.. It's been pretty good so far! Not waking up with cracked lips, irritated and dry throat and nose.Although if you need a DARK room to sleep this may not be ideal, even in the sleep mode. The UV light is on any time the machine pumps out mist(which is what it's meant to do so that it kills things) but it does cast a decent amount of blue light. The display also is brighter than needed, even in sleep mode. I workaround it by putting a cloth and a stack of books up against it to block that.Otherwise it's pretty good. The first week I used this it would think the sky was falling anytime the humidifier was on. I can only guess it was due to the new filter in the humidifier? Once the humidifier went through it's first tank of water and was cleaned the purifier hasn't had an issue with it.
It does the job for sure! But somehow, it has a noise u can't ignore. It is not the fan or the supersonic sound, it is the transformer, so whether you turn it on or off, as long as it is plugged in, the noise happens. It is suitable for day use, but I would not recommend it for night use.Also it lack of a function that auto start, (it can auto stop but the noise is still there until u unplug the cord.

To avoid a disturbed night's sleep due to excess coughing, I fill up and plug in my ION90 and get a good night's sleep. I know it works, because whenever I have slept without it, my cough kicks in - so I would highly recommend this to anyone with the same problem. The only disadvantage is having to remove the top part and turn upside down to fill with water, but I believe that all humidifiers are the same - there must be some reason it can't be filled from the top.
