Best Infrared Heater on the Market

The Ionmax Ray ION801 is by far the best Infrared Heater on the market, because the Infrared Spectrum it emits is perfect for the human body, since the human body emits a wavelength of approximately 9μm (we lose heat in the spectrum of 9μm), while this heater gives us a wavelength of between 4 ~ 14μm.There are no heaters out there currently (that I know of), that are perfectly suitable for the human body, like this heater is. This heater does not heat the air, it heats objects, just like the sun does, and the objects in the room slowly lose heat thereby maintaining a perfect temperature in the room. In fact, it seems that by running this heater, it feels like summer inside of the room, because the heat trapped in the room is almost the same heat that the Sun emits in the summer. At only 1200w, the heat emitted is immense for the low amount of electricity used. Shorter Wavelength Infrared heaters, called "Radiant Heaters" that you can buy for a cheap price of about $40-$70 from places like The Good Guys and Bunnings, are typically between 2000w-2400w. They use a lot more power, because the Infrared Wavelength they emit is shorter, and thus use more energy, because the shorter the wavelength of light, the more energy it actually is. The heat emitted doesn't last very long, since short wavelength light by nature is too short to reach objects around it.In summary, this heater is the best because: the heat is perfect for the human body, it uses a maximum of 1200w, it has multiple controls on it, it has auto shut off features, it is of a good size and can cope with larger rooms at the highest level of 9. Basically, you are wasting your money on gas heaters, oil heaters, reverse cycle heaters, fan heaters, etc, because they are not an efficient way of heating. Only Far Infrared heating is suitable, and only 2 kinds of heaters out there achieve that: wood heaters, and the Ionmax Ray ION 801. Wood heaters are messy, and you need to constantly clean up after each burn, which wastes time and requires effort. The only other alternative is the Ionmax Ray ION 801, it is a no mess no hassle heater, and gives you instant heat that makes you want to sink into your chair from the warmth it gives. It's just like the sun on a warm summer day...

Now that I have retired I am concerned about higher energy costs, as I'm home more often. I have an energy meter with my solar system, so I have been able to verify this heater does consume less power. I expect I will recoup the more expensive purchase cost over time. No problem in providing personal heat in a large room and I expect it would be great in a home office. When it gets really cold (in Melbourne), I will probably still be using my main heating system, but good for occasional use on cooler spring and autumn days. Ideal for when you are sitting, reading, watching TV, etc, but doesn't heat the air in the room much, so less useful if you need to provide heat for children, etc. More gentle heat than other portable options, which I find make the room feel ... MoreNow that I have retired I am concerned about higher energy costs, as I'm home more often. I have been using the Ionmax801 for heating in my home office for the last year. I take the chill off the air with a reverse cycle air conditioner/heater first thing in the morning for about an hour before I go into my study, then I shut that off and turn the Ionmax on. We get down to -4C to -7C in the winters here and I have high ceilings in a wooden house; while the reverse cycle does take that chill off, it doesn't warm me up. I am sitting at my desk working on my computer for 8 hours and the worst part can be my feet and fingers. The Ionmax801 keeps my whole body warm (including feet and fingers) and have found it to be the best of all the heaters I have tried (fan and oil column included) for heating me while I am sitting at a desk working. I am very very happy with it and it has also reduced my heating bills. I would recommend it to others that need a heater to keep them warm while they are sitting.

Happy customer here :)

This is exactly what I was looking for. It's quite a practical design that you can easily move around, not heavy or too wide. I like that it doesn't blow the hot air at you, but gives a comfortable warmth. It heats a small/medium size room instantly and very well, it doesn't make the air depleted off the oxygen. I also use it when I'm working at my desk, but because it's an open space I need it directly next to me. It does make it very comfortable for me, I simply can't compare it to other heaters - I highly recommend this one, I'm happy with my choice.

My house is a big rectangle. Have heater at one end and an air purifier at the other. So far is keeping house warm while only set on medium heat. Winter will be the big test. Fingers crossed it will help to save some $$$. Sitting in front of heater is great for muscle and joint soreness to, added bonus.

My loungeroom has floor to ceiling glass doors leading on to my balcony and is a large open plan lounge/dining area. Every winter i freeze unless the previous oil filled column heater was on full blast with the fan blowing hot air at the same time. I cant believe the strength of the heat on the lowest setting. When it drops to 6 or 7 degrees i will no doubt have to raise the heat settings but its such a low wattage in comparison to my old 2400w heater that at least i know even if i put the setting up to 9, the maximum wattage is 1200 - so it will certainly be much cheaper to run - and we will actually feel warm this year instead of having to sit right on top of the metal fins to alleviate the cold. Im absolutely thrilled I researched heating and came across this product! Omg i just found out the temperature in sydney tonight is 8 degrees...this heater is brilliant!

Delivered as promised - both the product and the performance. We've been really pleased with Ray ION801. Arrived promptly. We have a large living room with a vaulted ceiling which is very cold in winter. We don’t always want to get the log burner going so this has been a great way to be able to sit in the room and be nice and toasty. We need it on full power and it is not more than 2 metres away from us but we can sit and watch TV comfortably. The heat is like sitting in front of a fire. It doesn’t heat the rest of the room but you feel warm. Very pleased with purchase.

The perfect way to stay warm
21 April 2022

I looked high and low for a heater that didn't blow stuffy air and make me feel tired and everything the Ironman Ray said it was it lived up to. I've place it on one side of my desk and I feel so toasty while I'm working - I look forward to getting in front of it and feeling sun kissed on a chilly day - no stuffy air just pure warmth! The temperature range is great - from just taking the edge off to making you feel warm to the bone. It's perfect for my office which is 4x4sqm.I suggest the distributor makes the heater easier to find using google search.
