iPad 3 (2012) - 32GB (Wifi + Cellular)

I had the iPad 2 and then the iPad 3 and then the iPad 4 and now I have the iPad 12.9. I’ve had a lot of iPads. So anyways I found the iPad 3 was pretty good. I actually bought another of that iPad 3 for my mom.. And three years ago when she passed on, I gave it to my sister-in-law. My mom loved her iPad. And there was one game she would always play on that iPad. It’s called Befuddled. She would play that game for hours on end. She’s probably playing it in Heaven right now.. But iPads have come up so much further from the iPad 3. So if you don’t care about upgrading to a newer iPad, then stick with the iPad 3.

This IPad is exactly like the one my husband had and loved several years ago. It is gorgeous and works perfectly. Has everything you need. I did make a stupid mistake (my husband did tell me to buy a new one.) I did not realize that certain apps need more recent IOS. The seller DID specify that the item only goes up to IOP 9 something and cannot support all apps. At the time I did not know what that meant. I do now. The only reason I bought the IPad is that I wanted my Airbnb app on a bigger mobile screen. Well, I cannot download that app on this IPad. Lesson learned. So now I will need to buy a new one and do something with this one. The next person will get a beautiful IPad

My son loves us iPad. He’s had it for years now and it still works so that’ll tell you something of quality. Apps are still supported the only downside is lack of memory and the feeling like we’re getting near its end of life cycle with memory available. He’s been playing Minecraft on this for years so you know we’ll be going apple again for his next tablet to make sure his games carry over.

I spent $2k+ on the 12 iPad assuming it would function similar to an iPhone but significantly better. I needed something between and iPhone and laptop. After buying this device I have slowly started to find it less useful and more inconvenient. This system doesn’t have a built in calculator like the other apple products have. I am also not able to access the What’sAPP app which I am often using for work. Had i know the iPad is incredibly limited I would have gone with a scaled down version for extremely basic and simple uses and gone with purchasing the MacBook. If you are getting the iPad go with your cheapest option because it is less useful that the iPhone. The only perk to this device is the large screen and drawing capability. I honestly love this ipad. It's got fast processing speed, nice crisp graphics, and can handle all of my online games. I use it for everything from reading books to watching streaming services, from playing games to having Tele health appointments! Highly recommend this ipad!

Incorrect equipment included with product

I was very happy to receive this product within 3 business days. First discrepancy was on outside of package. Product was advertised as 'Open Box' yet label on package clearly said 'Refurbished'. There is a difference between the two. This was my main reason for choosing this Ipad. Very impressed until I opened the package to discover that despite under 'specifications' product stated 'connectivity' was 'lightning' type. Yet product included a charging adapter that didn't have this port to match. Also am certain there was at least one USB port mentioned on the product from the product descripiton. There are none.

Not jazzy enough to entertain or educate

Yes, I should be more tech savvy and read articles about the older iPads. Thinking something inexpensive and older would help educate and entertain my daughter. These newer apps are so not compatible with the older generation iPad. There are steps given to still access many of the newer apps but to no avail, they do not work. Many apps and games require iso 11 and this little gadget is not equipped to handle them even if you go to the websites, which is a huge inconvenience for the ones who like to just click the app and go!

Although this product is a little dated as everybody knows knows by now, it has good solid construction, good screen resolution-which lends itself to taking very nice videos and pictures. I actually bought this iPad 3 for creating and recording music. With a 30 pin to USB adapter or an iRig Pro it works well. I haven't experienced any latency when using apps like GarageBand and/or MusicStudio. I'm not sure how many tracks I will be able to record before it starts to slow down and get glitchy, but for now it works great for me to get acceptable sound quality music when coupled with the iRig Pro and travel somewhere. I very much appreciate the fact that I have an affordable 'travel workstation.' Lastly, A WORD ABOUT IRIG PRO: The iRig Pro boasts it's MIDI capabilities with iPads and other Apple devices. Unfortunately, they don't tell you that if you are using the MIDI connection wire, you WILL need a power adapter to power your keyboard. If you are using a USB connection to your iPad, you will absolutely need is 30 pin to USB adapter. You canfind this and apples camera connection kit, however you can truly find one cheaper online. I bought the camera connection kit because I wanted to eliminate any possible glitches.
