iPad 9 (2021) - 256GB - Silver (Wifi + Cellular)

This tablet is fantastic. It’s older, but still works just as good as my iPhone 13 Pro Max. I don’t see a difference in screen quality, or functionality. The only difference is size. This tablet is fantastic for travelling, I own 2 of them and they keep my kids busy for hours on long road trips. I like using my tablet for online shopping as well, the products are easier to see on the 10 inch screen. If you are looking for a tablet that functions and doesn’t break the bank, this is the one I will recommend.

I love the larger size of this iPad. I was previously using the iPad Air and decided I needed a new one. It’s fast and has an A13 chip and an ultra wide front camera. It takes great photos and is an improvement over my previous IPad. The graphics are nice and clear and the colors are vibrant. I bought the model with 256 GB of storage. The battery life is brilliant and lasts for a few days for me on a single charge. I use my IPad for FaceTime and the quality is great. I also play games and watch movies, as well as take notes and check emails. Definitely recommend

Affordable, easy to use, fast - repeat ipad buy

My first ever tablet was the ipad2. 8 years later, the iOS 9 is not keeping up with apps, websites, etc. so I bought this 8th generation iPad. Nothing negative to say about this iPad EXCEPT that while Apple increased the overall length and retracted the bezels to give us the 10.2 inch screen, they shortened the overall width (see my picture with the 9.7 inch ipad2 side by side), so the half inch increase in screen size does not do jack squat to give you the feeling that you are looking at a significantly larger screen! Amazing product, easy to navigate!

Absolutely love it every bit as much if not more than the iPad Generation 4 it replaced for me! Expected to need a long transition time to get used to the changes of a newer model as I am VERY technologically challenged and usually struggle really hard with changes in electronics. But the changes were for once very minor and have not frustrated me at all! So much fun to actually be able to explore all the apps out there again, it's been some years since they stopped making apps that could be downloaded to the gen 4. And all of my favorites from that iPad are still available on this new to me one! To anyone else out there investigating what they would like, this one is the only one I could find with a nice big screen as well! The battery lasts about two weeks for me, if I mostly only play offline games and do a bit of online window shopping. If I am streaming movies while I am sewing then it can make it about three days. I have not done any ebooks on it yet but assume the battery will respond the same as streaming movies, depending on how long I sit and read each time.

Daughter loves it!

I got this for my daughter with the iPhone promotion, and she gets an iPad and I get to try the cute little iPhone 13 mini.My daughter has been enjoying this tablet. I thought that maybe 64 GB might not be enough, but it has not been a problem yet. She is able to play roblox just fine on it, and she can start practicing digital drawing. She a great pen to paper type of artist, so I'm excited to see what she can create digitally, as there are no limitations like supplies besides your imagination. All she really needs is the iPad and the Pen, and if she wanted to get fancier then pen tips or even different pens and the matte screen protectors for that more paper feel.I'm glad she is enjoying it. I also thoght that since it was an older generation of iPad that it might be slow or not have as many features as the newer models, but honestly there probably isn't evena huge different from this one than the next generation.

Don’t get this!

I thought it would be a good idea to get a refurbished iPad for college, but I was deeply disappointed in this product. The outer shell was damaged with pry marks from removing the screen. There was excess glue with hair on the edge of the screen and on the screen. The screen was replaced with a plastic one where you could hardly glide your finger on it. It wouldn’t fully charge only up to 57% and was very very slow. Would not recommend. Get ur refurbished items off of apples website! More reliable!

Fun toy to have

I must say im a samsung person never owned an apple product until this. People actually shocked i bought one. It was a great deal for price and samsung hasnt had a cellular version tablet that has decent anything under 600. I was able to use coupons etc and get for 580 with apple care plan. Ive been have fun playing with it. Its been a learning curve but pretty easy to figure out. I was always told you had to buy apps etc. Nah ive found everything free. Even great drawing apps. Its really fast responsive and can do so much. Very happy with purchase.

Great iPad - 9th Generation

Not every new generation is an improvement for everyone. I decided that the Apple iPad (9th Generation) was a better fit for my use. Unless you are a "gamer" or have a need for the "latest and greatest" this iPad is a powerful and more reasonably priced option. The camera is fantastic. The thumb print ID makes it very secure. And it will satisfy all but the most demanding with years of super service. This was a long term decision for me, as it replaces an 8 year old iPad.

Poor keyboard shortcut implementations

I purchased an iPad Pro in the Fall of 2020 to replace my MacBook Air 2014, still works. Wanted to upgrade. For the most part it works as expected. Keyboard connectivity is a bit off. I have an an external Apple Magic keyboard. Sometimes it will connect just fine and other times it will not. Or just partially connect. Cmd space will work and I cannot type any letters into the search. Or on some instances, just the space bar will not work. Typing letters/number/other characters works fine. The space bar will not work. And that “feature’ seems to be arbitrary. The space bar works in MS Word and not in pages or the reverse, Filling in webforms, the space bar will not work.The next item is the lack of keyboard shortcuts or the ability to easily activate them. I am a Mac user since 1990. OS 6.0.1 and one of my most used is cmd/shift/S for save as within Apple Mail. Another is cmd k to insert a weblink. Probably there and I have been looking for a tutorial on this iOS processes for this and have yet to find it. If Apple is attempting to make their realm one OS, Think Different. Many seem to be slaves to using a keyboard for input, still.I am looking for better resources to better understand how iOS works. Now 14.5

Pros: The battery life is excellent on this iPad. Better than others I’ve had in the past. I don’t use it for anything too ambitious just general browsing, social media, emailing etc and it’s fab. I only need to charge every once a week. It’s Very light to hold so no aching hands and wrist. Very Easy to use. It’s fab. Brilliant charger included with the iPad (USBC) it charges the iPad to 100% in no time at all.Cons: No, nothing that I can think of. A free Apple pen in the box would be nice but that’s not going to happen!
