My last few iPhones have lasted me a long time, I bought a 13 after almost 4 years with my XR (iPhone 10). With a good amount of time between purchases I normally see a big difference/improvement in many areas upon getting a new iphone. Not this time. The lightening cord from a newer previous iPhone will work if your going from iPhone to iPhone but if you are new to an apple phone I guess Apple expects you to spend $900 for a phone and not even provide you with what you need to charge it! I've never been disappointed with an iPhone purchase before (iPhone4, iPhone5, iPhone6, iPhoneXR) but I am now. Apple drastically lowered the bar on the standards of an apple product with the iPhone 13 (and it appears on the iPhone 12 as well from the reviews I'm reading on them). I wish I hadn't been in a pinch causing me to make this purchase without researching first, mistake on my part.

Finally took the plunge after years on Android. The new iPhone 13 came with a larger memory storage than the 4 year old Samsung Galaxy S9. No more dropped apps. Tasks are working very well. Photo and video quality slightly better. The phone transfer with the Move to iOS worked well except old WhatsApp messages did not port over (not a deal breaker). Since my work phone is an iPhone, don't need to deal now with 2 operating systems. Oh, and battery life is much improved compared with the old Galaxy.

Just upgraded to this from a Samsung Galaxy S10e a couple days ago, and let me tell you something. For me, this was a huge jump because I've had very little experience with iOS prior to buying this phone. And to start off, I love every aspect of this phone, especially Siri and the cameras! A pretty decent phone overall. It has some quirks. Screen sometimes flicks off when I pick it up or at other odd times - could be user error. Biggest annoyance is how shallow the side buttons are, almost flush with the surface - I'm afraid that if put a case over it they'll be even harder to reach. Phone itself has that character iPhone slipperiness that makes it hard to hold on to and easy to drop. The iPhone 13 has a bazillion neato features that I'll probably never actually use. If you're more of a high tech person this phone is fantastic. I chose it mostly for the promotional price and potential longevity.
I really appreciate the overall design of the iPhone 13. It has a beautiful display a lot of features that enables you to customize your iPhone the way you want to.It also has a very nice camera on it. The battery life is excellent.There are a nice variety of apps in the App Store that you can put on your iPhone so that you can get the full enjoyment out of it. The iPhone 13 will definitely not disappoint you. It is also very appealing to the eye.This iPhone will definitely handle anything that you could want or need to do.It is definitely a winner.

So, I literally had to purchase an adapter in order to charge the phone. Of course, I'm not happy about this added expense. (FYI, a different online store offers a package of 3 adapters PLUS cables for nearly the same price, if anyone needs them!) Next, the volume on this phone is terrible. I literally have to place all of my calls on speaker and raise the volume to the highest level possible. FYI, I was upgrading from my iPhone 7 Plus and the difference between the two is unbelievable. If I had been able to increase the 32 gbs on my 7 Plus, I would have done so and kept it! Bought iPhone 13 pink. I am very happy with purchase. The screen is bright. I am low vision the screen size and brightness important. For price under 700 not bad. I had a 14 before; I actually prefer the 13. To me screen easier to see/brighter/resolution. Plus like the pink color that 13 line offers. It’s a pale/pastel pink to my eyes in person. Color nice choice if want stand out a bit but not as bold/bright color as example red in my opinion. Doesn’t overheat like some phones have from my experience which nice. Would recommend.

It’s extremely difficult, also, to get the focus on a smaller object in the foreground, if there is anything large enough, in the background, for the camera to focus on. An example would be, attempting to photograph, say, a flower in the foreground and leaves are behind it… the focus will switch quickly from the flower to the leaves in the background.There seriously needs to be a way to set the camera to focus on the main subject and leave the background blurry. The “portrait mode” is “supposed” to this but it fails miserably the vast majority of the time and you cannot get very close to the subject in “portrait” settings.
