A Great Plus Size iPhone If You Don’t Want to Spend For the Plus

Overall, this is a very good iPhone. The cellular modem in the iPhone 14 is much improved compared to past models, and performs very well on the Verizon network. Unless you really push it on your device, battery life will last all day with no problem. Is the bigger screen worth it? That will ultimately depend on how you use the device and your preference, but it does look best in class. As usual, Apple has iOS custom tuned to perform as best as possible with the built in hardware and bugs/glitches are fairly rare. Those that do occur are fixed very quickly via software updates. Past users of iPhones will feel right at home with the iPhone 14 Plus. The larger screen does enhance usability and is a game changer compared to the smaller screen size.

Apple really dropped the ball with the iPhone 14.

Hoping the new update does fix my problems because no one else knows how to help me for the past two weeks.

Excellent for People with Multiple Apple Devices

I had considered getting the Pro, but that was on back order, and since I don’t do much video, I decided the regular iPhone 14 would be good enough for what I need. It is smaller than the other versions, so it is good for people (like me) with small hands. Let me just say, I ordered this new iPhone 14 online and set it up myself: this was the easiest data transfer/phone setup I have ever gone through. Having gone from one iPhone to another, the new phone walked me through the setup process and automatically pulled all of my apps, passwords, and other data from my old phone and installed it on the new one; all I had to do was log into my different accounts. Having gone from one iPhone to another, the new phone walked me through the setup process and automatically pulled all of my apps, passwords, and other data from my old phone and installed it on the new one; all I had to do was log into my different accounts. Now, I have low vision, so I rely heavily on accessibility features. The iPhone has multiple settings that I utilize, first and foremost enlarged font sizes. On my previous iPhone, the size I set would cause text to bunch and overlap, rendering it illegible. Despite the iPhone 14’s screen being only a little larger, I am happy to say that this issue has almost completely vanished. Apple touchscreen products, like their watch, iPhone, and iPad all use the same touch commands, making them extremely easy to use and navigate once these different controls are learned; this new iPhone is no different there. For the Facial recognition, it is an extremely convenient feature that works whether or not I am wearing a surgical mask; the only frustrating part is that I have to be fairly close to the screen to see it, which is much too close for the facial recognition feature to work, so before I even realize it is going to scan my face, it has already tried multiple times and then requires me to enter my passcode or password manually. The only thing that makes this particular inconvenience tolerable and less interruptive is that I have an Apple Watch which, when close enough to the iPhone, unlocks it if facial recognition fails (my watch is frequently vibrating to let me know it—not my face—opened the phone or an app). iCloud is still a fantastic feature, and I haven’t encountered any issues pulling up information on my phone or iMac. The new battery life on this phone is also a huge plus! I have used it to listen to lossless audio streaming, watching videos, streaming shows and live tv, reading, online shopping, GPS navigation, and random browsing. I am on my phone or listening to music for hours each day, more so the past week because of the Thanksgiving holiday, and while I choose to charge my phone any time it gets under 80%, I haven’t even had to do that every day. The only real glitch I have encountered is that on some phone calls, I cannot adjust the sound volume during the call with the phone’s side buttons. Otherwise, it does everything I need and more, so I am very happy with this new iPhone and, for sure, recommend it!

First Iphone and it seems fine.
9 February 2023

This is my first iPhone I have ever bought for myself. I have worked on plenty of them and as both Android and iPhone evolve, I am starting to see a lot of likenesses with some differences. Honestly if they both take from each other we could all have the perfect phone. If you are a regular iPhone buyer, don't upgrade from the 13 unless you are worried about getting in an accident. If you are an old iPhone user, this is a great upgrade. The face id is nice but some of the latest Android phones use face id and drop you into your home screen, not the iPhone it unlocks it and you have to swipe up. This does not bug me but if that is important keep it in mind. I like to close my back ground tasks which Android has a close all, but iPhone doesn't. The App store does not really compare the iPhone takes down Android and everyone else. Like Android, iPhone tries to keep you in the garden which is fine, but Apple is flexible enough to allow all your android services to move over to your iPhone which is nice. The hardware is on par with some of the top Android phones in some areas, but Apple is superior in photo and smoothness. The top Android phones do have the smoothness and quality photos but do not have the extra features for picture processing. You won't suffer having either, but the iPhone pricing is on par with the top Android phones and why not go with some superior hardware? Some feel they get better support with Apple; this comes at a cost, but I understand it. Apple like Google makes sure that you will likely run out of space and will offer to only charge you a nominal amount each month to increase your storage. I call this a toss up, because both companies do this practice. As far as moving from Apple to Apple or even Android to Apple, it was very simple as long as you know your passwords going into the process. I hope this helps some of you decide, the larger screen of the plus is wonderful for my older eyes, but my son prefers is regular iPhone.

Fix the wallpaper feature
19 November 2022

Jumped from the 13 max to 14 max solely for the camera and I usually don’t just jump a single phone model - slightly regretting it. The 13 had trouble autofocusing and selecting the right camera when taking photos out of an airplane cockpit. The 14 AF and camera selection seem to be slightly less temperamental so far, and the colors(especially in low light) seem truer. That’s where the improvements stop for me.The wallpaper feature widgets update is nifty, but it killed a very basic and arguably important feature - choosing Home Screen and Lock Screen photos independently when you just want to change one of them. I’ve just sorted by people, selected a photo, “use as wallpaper” which automatically sets as your Lock Screen, and then forces you to choose a Home Screen photo(or Apple background) right then, but doesn’t let you sort by people which means you either have to screenshot the photo in advance so it’s easily accessible or scroll through all of your photos. The even worse scenario: What if I want to change just my Home Screen? Why am I forced to completely redo my lock screen photo + widgets and then go fishing for my desire Home Screen photo!? I just don’t get how you sit down in a dev meeting and say, “Should we let people choose their Home Screen and Lock Screen photos independently of one another like we’ve done for years without issue? Nah, let’s change it.” Change just for the sake of change is no guarantee of improvement.Would not recommend the jump from a 13.

So these reviews were off and on with good and bad reviews. So I figured I would take a chance. While opening the box I noticed a scratch in the right hand corner, luckily is wasn’t as noticeable and didn’t affect the screen or anything but still there. There were chips in the side of the phone and the back cameras nothing too crazy to the point where I wouldn’t keep it because looks wise it’s good enough. The key thing that I’m sending it back for is the speakers are literally blown. My right side speaker works but it’s muffled sounds like 10 years of dirt is inside of it. The left side doesn’t even work at all. I understand it’s used but like why would you give away a phone that has a blown speaker. Isn’t that your job to fix it to sell. I’m very disappointed with this purchase, transferred all of my information too it put a screen protector on it case and everything only to take it right back off and look elsewhere. Not a reliable source to buy products from. Again, understanding they are refurbished is like a chip here a scratch here not a broke piece of equipment on the phone. Save your money. Now I have to go through a whole process with sending it back and waiting for a refund. Also, I previously owned an iPhone 11 and wanted a new phone for a better speaker and my iPhone 11 was louder than what I got. I hope this can help someone else out there to not take the gamble on kiss electronics.

Got exactly what I paid for. The phone is great. Everything works as intended. The battery life was at 88% upon pick-up. It came with a charger and adapter. The phone had minimal cosmetic damage, only a minuscule scratch in the screen, which I covered with a protector anyways. My only gripe is that the phone was not cleaned prior to pickup. There is wax-like gunk in the speaker at the top of the phone, making it impossible to talk on the phone with the phone up to my ear. The bottom speaker which music plays out of is also dirty, because the sound quality is very crusty and not at an iPhones full potential. Other than needing to get it professionally cleaned, this was a great dealfor a phone I desperately needed, and I’m overall satisfied with my purchase. One ... MoreGot exactly what I paid for. One thing in the future, though, would be for Best Buy or their merchant to clean the phones prior to sending to customers.

iPhone 14 Plus Excellent Upper Mid-Range Value

My wife and I both had Apple 8 Plus phones. We really liked our 8 Pluses as they were solid, reliable, and always worked well - with the exception of the fingerprint reader, which didn’t always perform. I frequently had to enter my passcode. We replaced the 8 Pluses with 14 Pluses and love our 14 Pluses. The Face ID on the 14 Plus is MUCH better than the fingerprint ID on the 8 Plus. The 14 Plus is a solid upgrade. We are completely satisfied with the 14 Plus in every respect. It is fast and easy to use and the display is sharp and crisp. The only complaint that I have is that I use the alarm for morning wake-up and sometimes have to fumble around on the screen to turn off the alarm. In that respect, I miss the home button. Overall, the iPhone 14 Plus is an excellent choice for anyone who wants a very capable, reasonably-priced iPhone that doesn’t necessarily have all the bells and whistles but does have solid performance and ample capability and features.
