I wanted to try this as I love regular Irn Bru but dont like drinking unnecessary sugar. Its near impossible to find in the south of England so ended up ordering some from here.This stuff is much closer to regular Irn Bru than the Sugar Free version. Sugar Free lacks the sort of thick, syrupy texture of the original, and Xtra manages to retain that. It also seems to be slightly more carbonated.If youve tried Sugar Free Irn Bru and was disappointed, Id recommend giving this a go

Got to love these, and a great price too.I think the previous Diet version, although good, kind of lost a bit of the special taste of the original. Surely understandable when you are taking the sugar out. But you have to credit for Barr for going back and redefining the product again to produce a nonsugar version with what appears to be exactly the same taste as the original.

Ironically, I despise the original Irn Bru they sell since all the recipe changes due to war on sugar which I useed to drink regularly but have not in years. I am not a fan of the Diet version or in my view flavourless version. I was suprised by how much I like the Xtra varient, pleasantly so, now my go to drink of choice, lots of flavour and no calorie intake.

I bought the glass for my sisters birthday. The glass was great quality and looked fantastic. I actually bought a second identical glass for my sister after she accidentally broke the first one. Thats the chance you take when buying someone a glass for Vodka .
As a wee Scottish lass, this is a staple. There is never a time I don't have a pack of Irnbru in the fridge. (Especially when there is 2 free cans). I love the taste of this drink and I have also found out that it makes a great mixer with vodka. Love a coke float? alternatively use irnbru with vanilla ice cream and really experience a delicious drink.
It doesn't taste as good but worse than that it leaves a terrible lingering aftertaste I assume from the aspartame they added to replace the sugar which has been cut in half. It also gives me a sore throat if I have too many.
It still states original and best on the cans.Incorrect.1 It is not the original taste that many used to know and love2 Best implies that its better than a number of other drinks. After tasting this embarrassment of a drink, youll know what misery truly is.Perhaps Barr should update their marketing to compromised and miserable.
Absolutely perfect if you crave that secret IrnBru taste, but wish to avoid unnecessary sugar. Xtra tastes identical to the original, unlike the sugar free varient which is completely different and unpleasant, same concept at CocaCola Zero or Pepsi Max all the flavour, none of the sugar
First time trying IRN BUR - Bit worried about the 'colour' content, as very orange, so not sure how good that is for you. As for the taste, not a major sweet sugar drink (which is quite nice), reminds me of a stronger Lucozade. Worked well when I had a moment of feeling unwell and gave me the boost needed, with the fizz helping with settling my stomach. Not sure if I would buy again, possibly if on special, but overall no wow factor.
This drink is unique. I wasn't sure what it might taste like so I imagined it would taste similar to Fanta, but it's more of a flavoured tonic water. People I shared it with said it had a bubblegum aftertaste.
