We bought the roomba because of this and I love how easy it is that they can work together to keep my floors clean!

can't recommend buying the iRobot Braava m6 robot. They don't support it. Mine is less than two years old and the tires are worn out and after much effort I'm lead to believe it's impossible to get replacements. There is no time frame when or if they will be available. They're not even listed on their web site. They do have them in Australia iRobot website (part number 4650146 braava replacement wheel kit) but they do not ship internationally. I'm embarrassed how bad their customer service is. I called in and was forced to "troubleshoot" tires with no tread on them. When asked for a manager I was told there are no managers. Well that explains how their service is so bad. Their representative told me to buy them off Amazon but there are none sold there that actually fit according to the reviews. There are tires for older models but not this one. Used to be a big fan of their products, bought them for my family and got them started using iRobot products and they have really turned around my opinion of them as a company. Any company that treats it's expensive products like this as disposable doesn't deserve our money.

And to add insult to injury, there’s only 1 cleaning solution recommended to use with the jet which is Bona, as they claim any other solution can damage the sprayer, and the Bona solution is almost impossible to find anywhere online or even in stores.

I Really Wanted to Like it...

I was looking to buy a combination vacuum and mop with self-emptying tower/charging base but decided to go with this one since I already had an iRobot vacuum (that I'm very happy with) and the app, so I wouldn't have to download a different app for a different brand. Sadly, that was the only pro. Even with the cons, I thought I could make it work, but ultimately decided to return it. Truly disappointing.ConsUnlike its vacuum counterpart, if you have floor track/dividers, it won't make it across unless you have the kind that mesh evenly with your floor. This in turn messes up the mapping because you have to pick it up and do all of your different areas of floors separately. I think this also affected the mop being able to find the home base, because it never could ... MoreI was looking to buy a combination vacuum and mop with self-emptying tower/charging base but decided to go with this one since I already had an iRobot vacuum (that I'm very happy with) and the app, so I wouldn't have to download a different app for a different brand. This in turn messes up the mapping because you have to pick it up and do all of your different areas of floors separately. I think this also affected the mop being able to find the home base, because it never could find its way back or, depending on the area, couldn't make its way back due to the track/dividers. I pretty much had to pick it up and take it back to the charger every time, unless it was cleaning the room where the charger was. In my kitchen, it kept getting stuck in the space underneath my cabinets, so in order to make that work I would've had to block it somehow, like maybe put pool noodles to keep it from wedging itself under there. And the cleaner that came with it left my floors feeling sticky and unpleasant to walk barefoot on. If I kept it, I would've probably only put water in it and put my own preferred cleaner directly on the floor since you're not supposed to put anything in the mop reservoir aside from water or the cleaner that comes with it.

PROS: The mop cleans well and the mapping seems to work better than my robotic vacuum from Shark. The mop pads and solution are inexpensive, so it's not a continual financial drain. CONS: The mapping isn't perfect and there's no manual way to adjust it. Any slight threshold between rooms is enough to keep the mop from crossing it. It was unable to map my bedrooms, for instance, since there's a slight threshold between rooms. The only option was to create a separate map for that room and then move the mop in there. The mop works strictly by friction, so there's no buffing or scrubbing happening. The mop can get filthy and drag grime around the house if you don't catch it, because there's no sensor that informs it when you should change the pad. I've also had it run too low on solution to be effective well before any notification of needing to refill. The solution container doesn't have a marker for the solution (after which you fill the rest with water), so you're supposed to use four capfuls, but the caps are tiny and the bottle is enormous; good luck. There's no setting in the app to tell it to just clean the space you put it in, unless it's something already mapped. In short, while I love having this mop and it may be the best option available, there's a lot that needs to be done before this tech is really ready for prime time.

This is our first foray into the world of Robot vacuums and must say I personally am blown away by it. The installation was very simple and my daughter did it since she was so super excited about it that she would not wait up for me. So by the time I got to it, she had already installed it and kept it ready to go. We put in the laundry room and it does not take much space. We started the mapping run on day one of installation. It took a good 5-6 hours and we had a bit of doubt as to what exactly it was doing. But apparently this robot learns and now we have a daily schedule that vacuums the most frequently areas which it finishes in an hour and 10-12 mins like clock work. We have tiles on the first floor with carpet in two rooms. The vacuum switches from tile to carpet mode effortlessly. The vacuum’s suction (S9+ has the highest suction in current range of iRobot vaccums) seems just right.I am amazed at how the vacuum navigates itself through the maze in your house. The careful drive feature does work and it does not bump into objects. Also it seems to clean in areas that our usual vacuum does not reach.Although my wife would occasionally sweeps the floor to bring dirt from under normally stationary objects like sofa etc, it is not needed everyday. For the daily quick clean, make sure though that there are no dangling wires that may get entangled in the vacuum or any clothes. The vacuum can get stuck if there are clothes lying around. We do “clean everywhere “ deep clean on the weekends and that job finishes in about 5 years. If I had to suggest improvements, I would say somehow if they can make it more quieter in future, it would be awesome. Also I know this is asking too much, but if it can do stairs and go on second floor too. :)Little bit regarding the Mop.We were debating whether we should buy the Vacuum and Mop combo but decided to go for it since Bestbuy was giving a nice discount on the combo during the Black Friday sale. The mop does a decent job, is very quiet and even tells you if you forget to fill the cleaning fluid. It takes a long time though so if anything, that is what I would ask for improvement. All in all, very happy with the purchase!

Roomba Seems To Be Losing Their Edge
19 November 2022

After having an older generation Roomba, I was excited to buy this new combo package to add some advanced room features and mopping to our house cleaning routine. Unfortunately, my experience was almost immediately soured by poor packaging, navigation, and customer service.Firstly, upon arriving, the s9+ made a horrible grinding noise when vacuuming around the house. After doing some research, it turns out their is a known defect where the brush housing is bent, causing the brushes and plastic framing to grind on the floor. I decided to put in a ticket for that.Meanwhile, I opened the Braava box to find that it had a defective lid. As soon as the mop bumped into something, the lid would spring open and fling the door clip across the floor. No worries, I thought. ... MoreAfter having an older generation Roomba, I was excited to buy this new combo package to add some advanced room features and mopping to our house cleaning routine. I decided to put in a ticket for that.Meanwhile, I opened the Braava box to find that it had a defective lid. As soon as the mop bumped into something, the lid would spring open and fling the door clip across the floor. No worries, I thought. I'll open a ticket for that as well (while referencing my original ticket number) and just taped the lid shut in the meantime.Over the next several days, both the vacuum and mop really struggled to create an accurate map of our home and would often get lost- even in fully-lit rooms. In addition, they would complete jobs without ever going to rooms that were already on the map. This really added to my initial frustration as our several generations old Roomba could more easily navigate around the house without such erratic behavior. After a week, I still had not received a response to either support ticket opened with Roomba, despite them saying I should receive a response within 48 hours. Finally, after 9 days and as I was packing up the robots to return them, I received a response to my first ticket. They said they were in the process of switching customer service platforms and that led to the delay in responding. Sadly, I had enough at that point.I'm really disappointed by just how poor my experience was with this new generation of Roomba devices. I used to recommend them to everyone but now I'm more cautious about choosing them again. It seems they've gotten too comfortable at the top of the market and have been slow to adopt newer features like LIDAR for faster mapping and enhanced obstacle avoidance. In addition, these newer Roombas, while elegant-looking, don't seem to have the durability that the older devices had.

S9 Close to perfect! M6 terrible
15 February 2023

To be honest, I had this for just under 60 days and it was one of the easiest to care for vacuums I’ve used. I absolutely love the S9 but the M6 is honestly just garbage. The S9 is fantastic for dog hair and other long strands (threads from dog toys, long hair etc), empties itself, has decent mapping technology and resumes without charging the whole battery. Now the downside of the S9 is that it doesn’t have object detection, so it really just slams into things all over the house, closes doors and locks itself in the bathroom lol, and sometimes loses itself in the house at night (no LiDAR).. but sure, this can be fixed by no go zones on sensitive furniture, innovation to keep the door open and nightlights around the house. The M6 on the other hand, is complete ... MoreTo be honest, I had this for just under 60 days and it was one of the easiest to care for vacuums I’ve used. It’s no wonder they bundle them together and had such a big “sale” because it is seriously that bad. It just doesn’t clean the floor like a mop should, it just sprays then slides over the area and drags all the dirt with it, no spinning, no vibrations, no scrubbing. All in all, the S9 is almost perfect for long haired dog owners, perfect if your floors don’t have items on it (cords, socks etc) and especially good if you plan on running it during the day instead of middle of the night. So if you’re gonna get this, GET THE S9 BY ITSELF!

Works great (not perfect) for cleaning kitchen
24 August 2022

I bought it for about 9 months, and used it almost every day for kitchen cleaning. So far, I have no problem with the robot. it occasionally stuck when it goes under the oven drawer. it cleans well enough. I bought the cleaning solution that came with it. It's not quite strong enough especially when we cook meat or oily stuff. Here is my workaround. I wash the cleaning pad at least every other day with mild dishwasher soap, leave a little residue of the dishwashing soap on the pad, and then put the slightly wet pad with slightly trace of soap residue (instead of a clean dry pad) back to the machine. this way we don't rely on the spray coming from the cleaning solution in the tank. it's been working well and keep the kitchen floor clean every day. if I have extremely ... MoreI bought it for about 9 months, and used it almost every day for kitchen cleaning.
