Bad buy, I tried 2 of them this model it’s clild proof, in a way to make it almost adult proof. When you do lite it up it goes out having to go through the child proof process again. Very poor flame control!

I gave as a gift not having time to check reviews.Can not fill with proper tank nozzle??When I did get it to light, huge fireball that singed my arm hair!Then only tiny flame, wouldn't light a cigarette!No wonder it was 50% off!Junk has got to go back!Just not sure how to get into CT???Fun!Stay Safe!Leave this thing on the store shelf elf!!

Many customers think this torch leaks fuel but this torch works differently from many similar ones. The dial on the body which adjusts the gas flow is also turns the gas flow on and off. That means if you do not leave that slider in the off position, the gas will flow out of the torch even if it has not been ignited. I consider this a design flaw because it is not intuitive. The other Pro Iroda same size models PT220 and PT230 are 5/5 torches with higher power, fuel and air flow controls and extra safety features. But Canadian Tire does not seem to carry those models.
I bought this today, however my bic lighter has a bigger flame. I followed instructions for filling it and left it for a few minutes to stabilize as recommended and was thoroughly disappointed when I lit it. I tried to fill it more but it was full. Just a low quality torch. I would not buy it and will be trying to return it. Stick with the tried and true plumbing torch and propane
I bought this than did not use it for a couple of months. It worked great for the first fill up. Ignition was great and loved it. Then after the 2nd fill up it.kept on going out . There is no indicator to show level of butane so I thought I overfilled it. But it just wouldn't stay lit.Even when I knew it was empty and only filled what I thought was a little. It still didn't work. Have tried it periodically to no avail. Because I waited too long to use it i couldn't take it back. Definitely do not recommend it. And will have to find another torch. A fuel level indicator would be helpful.
Bought this mostly for dabs, which it does nicely. Then one day i decided to char the fat on my steak with it and it was great. This does have a child lock on the spark button, but you can disable it by opening the screws, taking it apart and cutting the little tabs off of the button. Then you don’t have turn turn it every time you want to fire it.
This torch has a lot of potentials and gets extremely hot which is what most people like it for, including me. However less than two and a half days in the ignition started failing, and I would have to light it with a lighter to get it going. There is no problem with the gas flow and the nozzle is not clogged, there is even a spark at the end of the torch when I try to light it. But it never lights ever now and I've only used it for 2 days.Junk.
Great torch but beware its tricky to use. Once fillled with gas, Turn the dial first to arm then slide the on valve slightly until you hear a hiss, then push the knob. If it doesn't light turn off (slide gas valve full left) and repeat. Once lit it stays on and can be adjusted in flame power. Careful with it because its super hot and no dead man safety off. Its not your grand-mas candle lighter thats for sure.
Bought this in 2008-2010 when I moved into a new house. broke on me today, it leaks but kinda still works. Dont know what you guys are doin with it but it lasted me almost 15years. shoutout to these guys for makin the best blow torch ever
