Our 4 year old daughter has been on Floradix Iron + Herbs by Flora for just over a year, as she was borderline anemic with CKD diagnosis. Her nephrologist suggested we pick our own iron supplement, and having used Floradix Iron + Herbs during pregnancy, I knew it was a very bioavailable form of iron, so it's the one we picked. The nephrologist had never heard of it, and has been VERY surprised at how quickly her iron levels rose, and that constipation isn't a side effect. We've been thrilled with Floradix Iron + Herbs, and our daughter loves the flavor.

I used to buy this supplement in liquid form but am so happy it’s available now in liquid caps. More handy to carry around. I’ve experienced great benefits from iron-deficiency symptoms like giddiness and general weakness. Also love that it doesn’t have a metallic taste like many iron supplements.

Floradix Iron + Herbs by Flora is a good product that is easily assimilated, but if you are anemic, it is not enough iron to restore your loss. You need to have a blood test that measures hemoglobin and blood feritin levels. If you are really low, you need iron infusions at a clinic. I was severely anemic due to cancer that gobbled up my blood and my iron among other things, and I needed ten sessions to get my blood feritin up to par. This product is great if you lose some iron every month during your period, but again, get your blood tested to see how low your iron levels are and act accordingly.

The directions say take 2 doses a day, however, I take only one dose per day and see results. My iron level increases and I feel better. It's a juice and it doesn't taste bad. I like that it comes with it's own measuring cup. The bottle is glass, not plastic, and it is very heavy and sturdy--it always arrives to me in one piece. Good product made from food, and it works. I can tell my iron levels go up.
We much prefer Floradix Iron+Herbs by Flora of iron over the kind you find most commonly in pharmacies (even though that is cheaper) because it doesn't lead to constipation. My dad's anemia went away after we started him on this iron supplement, and even though he is prone to constipation, it hasn't been a problem at all.
This supplement really helps with my anemia. The taste is herbal and delicious. Doesn't make me constipated and balances me out. Highly recommend.

Sorry anemiacs if youre like me and get constipated and/or diarrhea from iron supplements I found this one to be no different. I guess I am extremely sensitive since others say it works for them. I gave three stars because I really cant honestly judge this on a star system so I gave it the average. Now I am just eating liver and clams everyday. No side effects and will be tested soon.
After recently giving birth to our first child I'd been having trouble getting my hemoglobin level back up. I felt extremely draggy even after multiple naps during the day. My midwife recommended FloraDix to me. I love it! Finally a great iron source without all the side effects! My hemoglobin is headed back up and I can already tell a difference in my energy level after just 4 days of taking the product.
I have been taking the FloraDix since mid-February. It was recommended by a dr. I was also told that liquid iron is more easily absorbed than pill form. I have not had my iron levels re-tested yet (will do that in a few more weeks) but I feel great. I expect my iron levels to be back up again. The taste is not bad and do not have any constipation problems either.
