I’ve used Issey Miyake for a number of years now as to me their scent is very unique. I’ve never tried the Le Sel D’Issey before so i was very intrigued to see what this scent was like. It lasted well over 12 hours and I could still smell it very strong after the 12 hours and that was only after 3 sprays of the bottle. It comes in the typical small tester bottle and packaging. I would definitely now go and purchase a bigger bottle of this as I really liked the strong smell of this and how long it has lasted. It does smell a little like other Issey Miyake products but this has got to be one of the more stronger scents. I would definitely recommend this if you are wanting to be noticed and asked about the scent you are wearing. For me it’s a 10/10.

This is the first time I've tried this and I still can't make up my mind if I would like it for myself,or not, even after having it on all day. It's definitely not a light, flowery type of fragrance, neither does it seem to be woody which is what I expected it to smell like. I often use men's perfumes because they always seem much stronger, dark and sexy than womens', but I'm just not sure about this one. I can't figure out what it smells of. It's definitely not unpleasant, nor did I say 'that's fab' when I first smelled it. It's sort of growing on me as the day goes on but I think I need to try it for a lot longer before I could decide whether to buy it. My husband loves it, though, and being as it is mens', I suppose that's what matters most.

All the same, it's a fresh, marine, woody fragrance that I really liked. So much so, I found a 100ml bottle gift case (with shower gels) for a great price, and purchased it for my collection. Packaging was typical Issey Miyake sample size, nice box, notes listed and the mini bottle sprays decently.Right from the off you can tell it’s an Issey scent, a very decent flanker to the OG from years ago with a marine/salty twist. Opens up with the sea salt and ginger, and quickly heads into the mid of Vetiver which goes nice together. The drydown of cedarwood and oakmoss gives it some nice depth.It lasts on me a good 6 hours with a couple of sprays. I can imagine it would be a little on the sickly side if you tend to overspray.At £101 for 100ml it’s not worth it, there are nicer and cheaper alternatives, wait until this gets discounted as many IM scents do, I’d be waiting for this to ... I was quite excited by this release, as L’eau D’issey is one of my favourite summer fragrances. Also, the perfumer, Quentin Bisch has produced some of my all time fragrances, such as EP Bois Imperial, Wanted by Night, Gucci Guilty Elixir and JPG Le Beau.Unfortunately, Le Sel D’issey didn’t live up to my expectations. It is a very nice summery fragrance (the timing of the release is odd), a salty, marine fragrance. However, it smells almost identical to Aqua Di Gio Profondo, which can be picked up for much cheaper. Its biggest quality is, however, that it has great silage and longevity which you would associate with a Quentin Bisch fragrance.Would I buy it? Not really as I already have ADG Profondo

I have had a tester on my desk for a couple of days, the smell radiates off the skin going from Woody and moss, to fresh salt and ocean marine.Top notes of sea salt and ginger, mid notes of vetiver and seaweed, base notes of Cedarwood. I live the way that different sent’s seem to pop off the skin, awakening your olfactory to its individual notes and love the way that sea salt really helps to enhance the oceanic accord.While it could be seen as a unisex fragrance for me this is definitely more masculine. Even as an eau de toilette this lasts very well on the skin be careful not to over apply. This certainly will help you to stand out of the crowd, it’s very pleasant on the nose and completely unique. My boyfriend really enjoyed this perfume sample we received to try. He used it as a nighttime scent for a date, and the scent had good lasting power. I would describe this fragrance as elegant and sophisticated. I can smell the spicy, woody, and earthy notes of this fragrance. All of which marry well together with my body chemistry, and it smells even better as it dries down. I would tag this as a unisex fragrance, as it would be a great scent for both men and women. My brother also tried out this fragrance and liked it as it is in the same scent family as his other colognes. I would recommend this fragrance to anyone who likes spicy, earthy fragrances. I received this scent for my partner to try, he didn't mind the scent but I didn't really like it. It smelt very strong with only a small anount, and really lingered, which I think would be a positive thing if you enjoy this scent. I think a little goes a long way and it definitely has staying power. I found it so strong I had him wash it off and we could still smell it. If you like intense strong scents, you will probably like this one. I did notice the woodyness and that is advertised, and it definitely smells very masculine.
