It Cosmetics Your Skin But Better CC+ Oil-control Matte SPF 40 - Light

Since everyone was raving about this CC cream, decided to give it a try and I regret falling for the trend. Thankfully I just tried the mini one. Love how this product has so much SPF in it, but it oxidizes so much and it looks so heavy on the skin. It looks like I am wearing a cakey foundation, but it's a CC cream? I swatched the illuminating version on my had for fun once and it looked okay. I really want to like this product. In the meantime, I do not really recommend this product unless you have warm undertones and don't mind the heavy-looking finish it gives. I definitely advise first trying a sample or purchasing the mini version. IT cosmetics please do better!

I am a huge fan of the regular Bye bye foundation. I purchased this matte version for summer since my skin gets a little bit more oily. First of all, I feel like the shades are slightly different between the matte and regular foundation, so be aware and make sure you swatch it first. Second, unfortunately the matte version doesn’t look as good as the regular on my skin. Later on it almost creates this mask look. Third, I didn’t see a difference in my oily skin between the matte and regular. So personally I think the matte version is only for people with acne prone skin because it is oil-free hence better for acne. I bought this in medium color about 3 years ago and have been using it in the summer days or to the gym ever since. It really sticks on your face and doesn’t feel heavy at all! I was living in Saudi Arabia for a long time for my husbands job and I wear this as my go to the beaches on the weekends. It keeps sunburn at bay, looks like my skin, and doesn’t transfer off that badly while being in 100 plus degree weather. The spf makes it my go to in the summer type of weather. It didn’t cause irritation on my sensitive combo skin either but I can’t really say it gave that matte look after a few hours because you get a bit shiny because of the spf but nothing that looks horrible and slides right off or anything. I simply use a tissue and blot and then it helps. Also, it carries a hefty price of $40 but it does last a while.

It took me a little while to get this one right. I bought in fair and it was too light. Then a bought the original (not matte) version in fair light, which made my face shiny and orange. I finally bought this one in fair light and its perfect. Shade is just right, goes on easy, lasts and doesn't make me shiny. It also provides really good coverage and it's comfortable on my skin. I also tried their under eye concealer in 10 and 11 before landing on 11.5. For reference, I'm NW13 in MAC studio fix, NW20 in their studio finish concealer. Mac is my usual go to, but I'm trying to switch it up because I don't think their ingredients are very clean. I also tried Ilia's serum foundation on my search, but found it wasn't very long wearing and didn't give enough coverage.

Awesome foundation but don’t use any silicone base

I always loved the original CC cream, but as someone with oily skin, I always hated the eventual greaseball effect caused by the original formula’s emollience. This formula is totally free of that and somehow manages to keep your skin hydrated as well. One thing I’ve noticed is that this foundation HATES SILICONE PRIMERS. If you use anything that’s pore-filling, this will literally just slip and slide on top and settle in pores because I believe this is meant to be used by itself. I layer this on top of my Japanese Kiss me Mommy SPF 50 and spread it out with my fingers/artis brush and the affect is stunning and super poreless. This formula does not cause deep creasing like the original one did when I bake with it. This foundation is very blurring as well. When you’re extremely greasy and you touch your face, the transfer/sliding off is quite severe so just make sure you powder before touching.A cool aspect about this product is that 8 hours after doing my makeup I re-set my foundation with powder and added a second wet layer overtop with a sponge where the product faded and it lays on top of itself seamlessly. Super thrilled with this formulation and I adore the blue metallic packaging.

Good...But Wish It Kept Me Matte

I am 65 years old and still battle very oily, sensitive skin. I wear foundation to work in my daily life, but was looking for something a little more natural, but long lasting, to wear on the weekend. I decided to give this a try. I like the cream - a little goes a long way. But alas, it only keeps me fresh looking for about 2 hours - even with a dusting of powder.Love that this has sunscreen and it's a good product. Just wish it kept me a bit more matte. I will likely continue to purchase, however, since so far it's been the best foundation alternative I have discovered so far.

My go-to foundation

I love this foundation very much. I’ve been using this for years and I was so happy that it became available again in Sephora. For almost 3 years, I couldn’t find it in stock online. Its full coverage is very good and it really gives matte finish, especially nice for warm countries and our burning summer weather. The only thing that prevented me from giving it a full 5-star now was because of the quality of the pump of the foundation. It gets stuck so the product does not come out. I had to press it much harder than usual for the product to dispense. Also, the container seems smaller now than before, hence it gets pricier than when I used to buy these regularly pre-pandemic. Online shades do not match actual product

The shades online are very different than the actual color of the product when you receive it. I haven’t gotten to really try out the product to see if I like the quality of it because I can’t find the correct shade after 2 orders. I even did their shade matching tool online & again the shades online do not match the product. I’m fair skinned but it is summer time so I have a little more color to my face. I can typically wear a “light” product year round. The light option I ordered was much more tan in person and did not match my skin tone at all. If I were to reorder I would have to get a porcelain option as the only lower option and I definitely do not have a porcelain skin tone. I will try to find in store to see the colors in person.

Perfect for my very very oily dkin

This is the third IT foundation I have tried, the first two were way too moisturizing for my very oily skin. The oil free matte is a good fit for me , I do not feel this on my skin at all. I read some reviews stating that they break out from the oil free Matt, and I started too also, I adjusted my makeup routine to including a teeny bit of moisturizer at the problem areas and this corrected the issue. Even with using a bit of moisturizer, I still did not feel oily. Finding the correct shade was an issue for me , the fair shade was to pale and the light to dark, so I chose fair light and it was a great match. I feel the fair is for very pale skin even though I am blonde blue eye and do not tan easily it was too pale. Too dark for pale skin.

If you are super pale, this will be too dark for you even in the lightest shade available. The swatch online doesn't look how it looks in person. It's very orange (reminds me of the Infallible pro-matte colors). I don't hate the product itself, but I can't wear it cuz the color looks ridiculous on me. I used my fingers to blend it cuz using a brush made it streaky. However, the tube is very very small, and this is really overpriced. Also, after about 5 uses, the pump it having a hard time working. Regardless, if you're really pale, stay away from this one.
