Alas, I did not read the reviews before purchasing this usb hub. It’s the only time I have been genuinely disappointed with an Officeworks product. The hub simply DOES NOT work. It recognised my phone but none of my usb sticks. It recognised my Toshiba external drive…. once. Then… nothing. No amount of restarting, replugging or using my other two Toshiba external drives could make it work. In a word…. rubbish. Have bought a verbatim hub for $9 more and it works a treat.

I literally bought this 15 minutes ago in store and it doesn't even work. Office works you SHOULD NOT sell this product. It is incredibly faulty. BEWARE!!!!!

This *thing* lasts passably for a few weeks but in just over a month it completely craps out and stops working entirely!! It's horrible. It's happened four different times to me and I completely give up. I'm rather disappointed Officeworks would even stock such a horrid thing. Wouldn't recommend it to my worst enemy.

I am really disappointed I didn't read the reviews before purchasing two of these. It initially worked then two days after purchase..bang...nothing went wrong, no error messages, and it suddenly stopped working. Still got the light on but nothing 😠I tried it on multiple computers and laptops but nothing but that deceptive light. The only time I have been disappointed by an Officeworks product. Moving forward I'm actually going to listen to the advice of others and buy the Verbatim for an extra 8 bucks.
The worst. Rarely works, and if it does, it falls back to USB 2.0 speeds. I have fitted an external 5V 'boost' power supply to the available port, to no benefit. Tested on a business grade PC and a business grade laptop.
A charger (purchased at extra cost) is required if you want to run anything more powerful than a usb or wireless stick. Cannot run 256gb hard drive without mains power!
I bought this hub for my MacBook. It lasted a little over a year. None of the USB ports work now. I've switched to a product from Verbatim; we'll see if that lasts a bit a longer...
Purchased it two weeks ago and this morning it has died. No rhyme or reason for it, just a terrible product that shouldn’t be on the shelves. Don’t waste your money
When using a Mac this USB port not only does not recognise any peripherals, it also completed disconnected the Mac from the Wifi. When plugged in, the Mac will disconnect from the wifi and not be able to connect to any networks, yet the second it is unplugged the wifi begins to work completely. It not only does not work but it literally has a negative impact on your device. Diabolical!
I unplugged this from my computer after charging my external phone battery and it started to back feed my external hard drive (also plugged in). There are no power protection circuits inside this device, it's no good (apparently my external battery is no good too).
