It lasts one morning, regardless of actual interaction, simply keeping it on drains it. The 5 in theory lasts me a workday week of mornings almost.I do miss the ease & accessibility of the multiple buttons, but the battery is a big, very useful improvement. So, like me, if you only need a microphone for Siri functions, the 5 is great! If you use it to listen to music, make phonecalls, etc, then choose the 30 or another stereo sound headset.

Owned 2 of the older Jabra Styles. Always worked great and had a voice prompt to tell you when it was connected or the battery was low. The Talk 5 has no voice prompts. Problem I have with the talk 5 is that it will just disconnect when I'm talking to someone for no reason even when I have my phone like 2 feet away. Not good when a newer product is not as good as an older one.

For the main function, which is clarity on both ends while making a Bluetooth phone call, this is a decent ear piece. But, if you keep it in your pocket while not in use, BEWARE! The design is flawed in that the same button is used to power on/off, answer and release calls, actuate voice commands and, and here's the horrible part, to redial by pressing twice. How's that horrible? Well, that's what I'm here to tell you. I power the unit off and stick it in my pocket (because I can't wear it constantly due to discomfort). Then, either by rogue AI or the simple pressure of my pocket against my leg, the Jabra powers back up. Not a huge deal, right? Probably not UNLESS you're like me and then move in a way which then 2x clicks and your last call is redialed. Yeah. ...Ā MoreFor the main function, which is clarity on both ends while making a Bluetooth phone call, this is a decent ear piece. But, if you keep it in your pocket while not in use, BEWARE! It happens to me about 7 times out of 10. Extreme pocket-dial! Oh yeah, it's also the only ear piece I've ever owned which doesn't double for audio in music or videos. It's only good for calling functions, and secretly pocket-dialing an ex 9 times in a row!

Jabra 5

Pretty good for the price BUT, the instruction book DOES NOT tell you everything you need to know. How to shut it off. How long the battery life is. WHAT is that Alarm bell that sounds. I'm guessing you hold the button down till the blue light flashes 3 times and it is on, otherwise......who knows.

Keeps disconnecting
16 July 2022

I’ve read the reviews about the troubles with connecting. It worked just fine for about a week or two, then I thought ā€œgreat, I don’t have any issuesā€ and tossed the receipt. Now it keeps disconnecting a couple of minutes into the call. It’s charged but it randomly just switches off. Not a great product. It was okay to see if it’s comfy and if I like using these type of headsets.

Nothing
18 September 2022

I bought this few months ago, compare to plantronics its not worth it.It doesnt tell you how many hours of battery left. Voice quality is very poor, always echoes and the person couldnt hear you and you cant hear them clearly. Its just connects to your bluetooth and thats it, you can control apart from volume up and down.

Solid build and even survived my washer once.
8 March 2022

So this is the 3rd time I'm buying this and it's always because I have done something stupid. The first one I accidentally put it through my laundry cycle twice! Survived the first one but sadly the second time around I wasn't too lucky. Second one I just plain lost and now I am on my third one. Yes it's a little pricey for a bluetooth device but you definitely get what you pay for here. The buttons are very easy to use while it's on your ear and it's very intuitive as well, the range is really good too. I've had this thing work with my phone even when it was a good 50 feet away from each other.147 people found this helpful

Sucked in
22 June 2022

Oh salespeople. Kept very quiet about the lack of features. Can't listen to music which is really the norm for Bluetooth not this one. Yes I did not ask him about music because I assumed they all had that function, but he kept telling me about the 90 cent discount he was generously giving me. I was trying to get a replacement for my current one which had fallen apart and was told about this great one.Sucked in.

Terrible audio
27 February 2023

I have always used another brand of headset but it was not in stock and I needed one immediately. The Jabra is not user-friendly. I had to re-establish the bluetooth connection with my phone every time I wanted to use it. Worse, though, was that with every call I made, the person on the other end would ask or comment: "are you in a basement?" / "there is a lot of static on the line" / "your voice is cutting in and out". Using speakerphone while driving on the highway was a much better option than using this headset.

VERY BAD EXPERIENCE
1 February 2023

This is the worst bluetooth device that I know in the market. The rating should be less than zero. You can only make and receive calls with this device. You CANNOT listen to music or any other form of audio (podcast, etc) from the phone even if the device is successfully connected to your phone. The biggest "scam" about this is that there is no indication to clearly inform the potential buyer that you cannot listen to music or podcast with this device. The worst case is that it is not possible to return this item as soon as you OPEN it even if it's less than 5 minutes after purchase. THIS IS A TOY. I will never recommend this for ANYONE. Infact, I will strongly recommend that Elkjop should sweep away this kind of TOY from their shops.
