Awesome Coat

Ok so I’ve had this coat for about a month now and I can say without a doubt it’s one my new go-to pieces in my closet. Fit was good I’m 5’11 167 lbs and somewhat slim I ordered a small because I didn’t want the coat going below my shins and not fitting too baggy thankfully it ended up fitting pretty snug the ends of the sleeves sit a quarter inch below my wrist line for reference. The fit is not bad a little tight through the arms and shoulder line but if you’re taller or a little bigger size up. You can rock this with almost anything, I usually just throw on a tee under this and it still looks stylish as hell. My only complaint is the liner the hand and wallet pockets are contained in rips very easily like after throwing my keys in the hand pockets 2 or 3 times ... MoreOk so I’ve had this coat for about a month now and I can say without a doubt it’s one my new go-to pieces in my closet. Overall a very solid coat with premium feeling fabric and a nice slim fit. The only issue is that ASOS product description doesn't mention the contrast color on the underside of the collar, which comes in two shades: grey and burgundy. For me, I wear coats with collars up pretty much all the time so this was a deal-breaker. But I'll definitely consider other J&J coats if they pop back in my size, especially the asymmetrical ones.

Great jacket
8 November 2022

Was exactly what I was looking for. Great jacket, just a bit too small.Claimed the model was 6ft 2 and wearing a medium. I'm a little less than 6 and was a bit snug. Can't wait til my larger replacement comes!

Lovely coat but smaller than expected
22 March 2023

The coat is lovely but the size was smaller than expected. My husband often buys from M&S so is familiar with the sizing but this was much smaller. However, it fitted my son who looks great in it and is delighted

Nice

Bought last minute for a funeral and needed something smart/respectful but also stylish for my taste, and something possibly a bit more versatile for more smart/casual use in future. I'm 5'10", 72kg, and ordered both the Small and Medium to try. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality as it's reasonably thick, and the cut/style is spot on and tailored. Ultimately, I went with the small as it still allowed for a few layers underneath before getting tight under the arms, fit the shoulders well, but mainly as the sleeve/cuff length was much better and didn't drown my hands as much as the medium, which was only a touch larger really. The creases from folding are pretty tough to get out, but managed a half decent job doing it through a cotton tee and setting decently ... MoreBought last minute for a funeral and needed something smart/respectful but also stylish for my taste, and something possibly a bit more versatile for more smart/casual use in future. The creases from folding are pretty tough to get out, but managed a half decent job doing it through a cotton tee and setting decently hot, however I imagine it will crease easier than I'd like it to. Main downfall is that not matter how much I run the lint roller over it to get off loose black fibers, it never ends and many end up showing on a white shirt around the neck and shirt front (before the coats lining saves you). I imagine with a good dry clean this would be less of an issue but I didn't have the time to. Texture is great, also distracts from the fact it's not a proper heavy duty quality pea coat with super thick fiber that costs £££, but it walks the line well. Wear it confidently and its quality will 10x in the eyes as always. Very happy with it, and works with a hoody under it you wanna go that way with it (p.s. the model in the photo wears the medium and it looks nice, if a little loose and more casual, but he also must have long arms as the sleeves down drown him as the did with me, hence why I chose small with a smarter formal style in mind (when I usually go medium with more casual garments)

Nice Print, Low Quality
10 January 2023

This was bought as a christmas present for my partner. I wasn't expecting excellence for the price, but even still, the coat is little more than an overshirt with a fancy cut. It is thin, with odd hemlines that cannot be ironed out. Looks smart from a distance and is a nice finishing touch, but certainly not reliable as a "decent" coat. Partner is happy and not bothered by the thinness, so truly depends on what you want- he was just after something to dress up in, i was hoping to keep him warm. Definitely size up

Poor quality. Bobbly all over
29 November 2022

I ordered this coat and immediately on my first wear I noticed it started to bobble where the material was rubbing. After only wearing the coat 4 times It is covered in bobbles. I will either stop wearing this coat or purchase a device to remove these bobbles. Due to the material the coat will require a de bobble regularly. Do not purchase if you don’t have time to maintain this coat

Too small!
29 October 2022

Husband ordered a large. He's a medium/large in other clothes. It was very tight across chest and the sleeves were 2 inches too short - disappointing. Cannot buy in store and has to be ordered online so he is going to leave it.

i got in from sales and get nearly 50% off. im so happy with this purchase. im 1m68 and 60kg with slim-fit kind of body and size xs is perfect for me. waist is a little loose, but it is alright, easy to move, yet still have the wider shape of shoulder. material is good too. really no complaint
