For metalheads just beginning to walk the path of the guitar player, there are few more important choices than that first electric guitar. There are many models out there vying for your attention but none of them, at this price point, boast the Jackson logo and famous pointed headstock! This model is based on Jackson's Dinky' body shape. The body is made from Poplar and the neck is Maple reinforced with graphite. This detail is something you won't often find on guitars in this price range so kudos to Jackson! You get some powerful ceramic humbuckers on here, too. Ceramic refers to the type of magnets used in the pickup and only the heaviest sounding pickups get ceramic magnets! Rest assured your sound will be powerful and heavy, no matter your skill level.A traditional tremolo bridge is included to perform some some dives and wobbles. This sleek rock guitar is a steal! And it looks great in this White finish.

I ordered the Metallic Blue JS11. It came damaged from shipping. The top right corner of the guitar went through the box and broke off. I was heartbroken when realizing that they didn't have another Metallic Blue in stock. I requested to return so I could re-purchase the metallic blue at a different store but when I started looking around, everyone was sold out of that color as well. I started playing her and OMG! Great product at an amazing value! You will not go wrong purchasing this guitar! One note to the packaging department; come up with a different packaging design that protects the instrument. MY fiance has two Dinky JS32's, a JS12 and is getting ready to purchase a 4th Jackson RR edition. Every delivery, you can tell the guitar shifts in the box during shipping. Mine unfortunately was damaged, I am sure this is a repetitive issue with the package design. Still 5 stars for this beast!

I was looking for a guitar to get back in shape and this hit all the right spots. In my olden days I used to play an old passed down Rhoads and an ESP so I wasn’t sure this one would be the right choice but for the price it was worth the shot. It’s a great starting point for beginners because of its size but even for experienced it’s a solid piece of equipment that doesn’t disappoint. It provides great tone and, surprisingly, sustain that I wasn’t expecting. The pickups do an excellent job but I’m already planning on changing them for a pair of Seymour Duncan that I found on sale. I’d love the signature sharkfin frets but I’m not complaining. Overall excellent buy.

Awesome shredder for the money! Excellent value!

Love the action; very playable. Looks and sound are excellent for the money, and considering this is an "entry level Jackson". I find it perfect for even the intermediate guitarist in me. Smooth radius which was a big selling point for me as I have smaller hands. Trem bar works great, love the aesthetics of the headstock and fretboard. Also love the black hardware. Another win from Jackson overall! I enjoyed the JS-11 a bit more over the JS22.

Fine item but not what i was looking for
11 October 2021

The quality is outstanding, however it is more of a metal/hardrock guitar which i already own.It compares equally to much more expensive ESP-ec1000 guitar.I wanted a stratocaster type for a different tone from les pauls, however this is too close to les paul so not what i wanted.Had to dive into a bit more, but i am looking most likely for single coil guitar, not humbucker.

Great bones for a shredder.
18 September 2019

My main is a Gibson LP Standard, but I bought this for a beater I could fall asleep playing and not worry too much. Along with the guitar, I purchased Seymour's Hot-Rodded humbucker set as I knew the stock pups would not inspire me much. I also bought some Gotoh locking tuners to add some stability, a Grapth Tech TUSQ replacement nut, Schaller strap locks, and a Gotoh two point trem. Heavily modded hardware-wise, it sounds like a 1k instrument. Playability-wise, I had to file / polish the sharp fret ends. A bit of work, but I enjoy modding my guitars to create my own personal shred. I'll eventually replace the pots / caps, but sounds great with the stock ones. If you want something to play hard and fast with, this is a great platform to build upon. Now that it's fully modded, I'm a little hesitant about falling asleep with this. Turned out to be a great project.

Great mod or starter guitar
21 February 2016

Great second/backup guitar or nice for a starter at a low low price. Overall a really fun one to own. Speed neck feels really great, also nice for small hands or anyone learning to play. Fun super-strat type guitar to modify. Pickup output is very good, (a noticeably higher volume compared with either MIM Strat or Epiphone Les Paul) but with none of the strat pickup buzz, very quiet when not playing. Bridge pickup has great harmonics for rock or metal and leads, neck pickup can get a nice blues strat type tone if you have a nice amp. The 3-way blade pickup switch was quiet when used. Tuners were alright, replaced with Grover mini rotomatics. Body is comfortable and very light, lighter than a MIM strat, because it is 7/8 the size of a strat. If you like using a Floyd Rose type tremolo this is not for you, move to a Floyd equipped model. I had the tremolo blocked Eric Clapton style with 2 trimmed wood blocks placed inside the back interior tremolo system. Would have preferred a hard tail bridge. The metallic blue finish was top notch, really sharp.

This guitar arrived on time and looks great. It's a Christmas Present for my 12 year old son who's been having guitar lessons for the past year using a 2/3 sized basic electric guitar. This is a big step up - he chose it & he's going to love it!

Bought this guitar for my teenage son. He plays a little acoustic guitar, and this is his first experience of electric guitar. So he is not a complete beginner. He loves the guitar and plays lots. It is a beautiful instrument, well crafted and looks very good. The sound is excellent. For an entry level guitar, the quality and price are very good. Also shipped ahead of schedule to Ireland. Well packaged and arrived in perfect condition.Overall, a very positive transaction. 5/5

Solid & Fun Electric Guitar
4 October 2019

I've had this guitar for about a month and a half in metallic red. This is the third double humbucker guitar I've bought in the past two years in this price range. The others being an Ibanez GRG120 and Epiphone LP Special II. To me, this is the best of the three. The finish is very nice, tuners hold tune well, action low without buzz from the first fret and up, electronics quiet and useful, and to me the stock pick ups sound the best of these 3 guitars. All three guitars were bought to mod. I played the JS11 stock for about a month before putting a DiMarzio DP-100 (Super Distortion) in the bridge and a DP-193 (Air Norton) in the neck. The fretboard was smooth, but after sanding a little with very fine paper and MN F1 oil, it's even nicer. The stock strings were acceptable but replaced with GHS CL.This is a solid guitar, not considering its price, but especially considering the price. Nice looking, easy playing, and good sounding out of the box. No fancy bindings or inlays, just a real nice guitar.
