I bought this guitar because I wanted a new toy and because of the price - I figured I didn't have much to lose. I have three other guitars, two of them Jackson, that I play frequently, and I always wanted a guitar of this style. The natural finish is attractive and unusual. I like that. The pickups are ok, but the electronics leave a lot to be desired. The fingerboard craftsmanship is lacking attention, at least on the one I received. There are unfinished areas and one of the inlays is missing a small section. I don't know what strings they send over to China to put on this thing, but they are complete garbage. Putting some new strings on improved things a lot. This also suffers from some fret buzz. The guitar comes setup pretty well. The intonation seems to be ... Action is set surprisingly well, considering the price of the guitar. However, as I mentioned above, this results in some fret buzz. I'll work with that a bit later. The neck has the same feel and playability as my higher-end Jacksons, so that's a plus.Overall, I don't think you could go wrong with this in the low price range. I'd recommend inspecting the guitar closely upon receipt to double check quality control. I wouldn't recommend this as a first guitar, unless an experienced guitarist is available to inspect. It's also not a guitar that's easy to sit and play, which is something to consider. If you get a good one and it's setup properly, this is an excellent guitar for ripping out some metal riffs or just having fun. Just don't take it too seriously.

Cheap Jackson so it's good. Body is butcher block, 8 pieces of wood 2" strips. Not finished. I put 2 coats Polyurethane to seal it from sweat and dirt Fret ends could be better but good enough. Piece of tape on sharp edge had small chip, not bad probably will get damaged. No neck dive! So, I recommend it, has all the DNA of the big boys and can be upgraded if you want or enjoy like it is!

I received my guitar about three days ago, and overall I am very happy with my purchase. The guitar looks awesome - I love the wood finish with gold hardware, and have received many compliments on the instrument's overall appearance. It is incredibly light, weighing in at just about 7 pounds, making it the lightest guitar I have ever owned. I love the feel of Jackson necks, and this guitar is no exception. It has a fast action that makes speedy riffs a breeze to play. Access to the higher portion of the fret board is incredible, thanks to the V body shape. This is my first Flying V guitar, and I will definitely need to get used to handling the unique body shape as I play. Now for a couple cons that made me drop my rating from 5 to 4 stars: this guitar is top heavy. ... MoreI received my guitar about three days ago, and overall I am very happy with my purchase. This is my first Flying V guitar, and I will definitely need to get used to handling the unique body shape as I play. Now for a couple cons that made me drop my rating from 5 to 4 stars: this guitar is top heavy. I have never owned a top-heavy guitar before, and it is super inconvenient to play standing up. You have to put in a constant effort to keep the guitar level as you play. I personally like to play with my guitar at a 45-degree upwards angle, which is much more difficult to do on this guitar then on any of my other well-balanced instruments. While the natural wood body looks awesome, it feels as if it would be easy to damage. But as long as you're careful you shouldn't run into any issues. I ordered this guitar online, and was not happy with the experience Guitar Center delivered. It said that the instrument was in stock and ready to ship, but after three days I still hadn't received a shipping confirmation in my email. I reached out to customer support and found out that the guitar was actually not in stock and I would have to wait three additional weeks before my guitar would ship. That was a bummer. All in all I would recommend this guitar, and am happy I added it to my collection!
This is a pretty sweet little guitar once you get It set up, and it WILL need to be set up. I never leave reviews but this thing has been a pain since day one, but I kind of expected it to be for the price. Your milage may very but this is my experience with the JS32T. I picked this guitar up from guitar center about two weeks ago. Straight out of the box in the store before even buying it, it was missing the B string and the neck was so curved that the strings sat on top of the frets. Guitar center put a new string on it and adjusted the neck a bit before I left (was still buzzing on first 3 frets). Upon getting home with it I realized the neck wasn't fully bolted down (two .88 picks could fully fit in the neck pocket, between the neck and body) and the fret ends ... Upon getting home with it I realized the neck wasn't fully bolted down (two .88 picks could fully fit in the neck pocket, between the neck and body) and the fret ends were not finished (the frets will shred your hands). I busted out some tools and got to work on making it playable. So far ive had to bolt the neck down, dressed the fret ends, replace the tuning machines (low E machine peg just fell off the second day of owning it) adjusted the truss rod, action and intonation. After adding in extra work/money and topping it off with a new set of strings this thing finally sings. It really is a cool little guitar if you set it up properly and plays suprisingly well. Its possible that maybe I just purchased a lemon but this thing really needed some polishing before actually being playable.
I was very pleasantly surprised by the overall quality of this instrument. I am not a shredder. I enjoy playing with friends and in bands (pre-COVID-19), and at my Church., and I play a wide variety of rock and pop music. The shape of this guitar intrigued me, and it's affordability led me to give it a shot.I'm glad I did. The playability is surprising. I'm used to Fender/Squier and GibsonEpiphone traditionally shaped instruments, and the light weight, the neck shape, upper fret access, and the quality of the setup right out of the box was shockingly good to me. I usually do my own setups, change pickups and electronic components, and make any needed adjustments (including shimming bolt-on necks). This guitar didn't need a thing done. Just removed the plastic from the pickups and pickguard and played. I still haven't found the need to make any changes. And, the pickups. Usually the weak point of an electric guitar at this price level. I have played this through my Egnater Tweaker 15 head & cab, my Fender Musicmaster Bass amp, and my modified Epiphone Valve Junior head & 12" sealed cab. This guitar sounds amazing through all of them, both with drive and, ESPECIALLY, clean. Which truly surprised me. These pickups are VERY powerful, but clear and sweet. Rolling back the volume controls the front end of a tube amp quite well, cleaning the sound up very nicely. Both on the neck and bridge pickups, and the middle position.I don't know if every example of this instrument is as good as the one I was lucky enough to receive, but I'm floored with this instrument. Not for the price. For the overall quality.
She played okay b4 setup. After truss rod and string height adjustment, she played as well as any I have played. Strong output pups, smooth, fast, stays in tune, my hands never hurt. This is a great overall axe, period, across all genres of music. I've owned high end LPs and custom shop Strats. I currently have 4 electric guitars--all Jacksons. Doesn't matter where they're made, how little they cost. They feel and sound great, and my hands never hurt no matter how long I play.
I totally didn't expect this guitar to be this fricking Good, I play Strats mainly have. Les Paul standard, 2 strats, 1 custom made MJ engineer strat style. All Floyd Rose 1984 originals and EMGs on all of em. I wanted a hard tail string through style guitar but didn't want to pay big alot so I saw this awesome looking shaped guitar with Mahogany body, I have no Mahogany guitars. Gold hardware Bound neck duel Humbuckers duel radius neck easy chording but then tapers as you go up the fret board for ripping solos, And the price was so low I couldn't resist. It came from Kansas cold there to N.Cal also cold here. So I was worried about the neck. It arrived in perfect condition the box was double boxed, I checked the neck level perfect, it was almost in tune. Intonation ... It arrived in perfect condition the box was double boxed, I checked the neck level perfect, it was almost in tune. Intonation I had to adjust 2 strings rest were dialed in. No truss rod adjustments needed. I then plugged it straight into 50w Marshall jcm900. Wholly S No hum, No scratchy pots, I had already bought wiring kit and Seymour Duncan pots thinking at this price they would be Crummy. Thank goodness I didn't by new pickups. All I had to do was polish frets w 3000k cloth about 30 mins and replaced strings even though I didn't have to. This guitar stays in tune and sounds just as good as my other guitars, except my custom. The Mahogany body and Jackson pickup is Fat and Ballsy. Action was perfect Same as the spec sheet. So for a cheap guitar you can't go wrong with this one. Im leaving it stock for now, I couldn't believe the QC for these cheap but Great guitars. Plus it looks Killer. The tuners are sealed and smooth and gold inserts on body string through in back. Easily can be used for main or backup. All you need if you got the chops. Very well made guitar.
Haven't been gigging out much so I can't honestly talk about it in a stage situation but there are no reasons to suspect any problems. She arrived in perfect condition in her factory shipping container with the usual sort of case candy including allen wrenches for bridge adjustment and neck tension. No case but none was mentioned in the description. The factory setup is elegant and the thin oil finish provides wonderfully resonant woody tones. Mainly playing through pedals and direct box for "studio" tones and Blackstar and Laney Iommi signature bofor amp-in-a-room realness. Sounds great-sizzles and whines for pinch harmonics and grinds and gurgles for chugging rhythm lines.I love the compound radius fret-board and the odd elongated V shape is surprisingly ... Sounds great-sizzles and whines for pinch harmonics and grinds and gurgles for chugging rhythm lines.I love the compound radius fret-board and the odd elongated V shape is surprisingly comfortable when used with a strap both standing and seated. The pickups are a bit harsh and--IDK is "ceramically" a word? But backing off the tone knob and/or tweaking amp or effects EQ yields very useful and varied tones at a number of output settings. Aside from the obvious weak spots on the pointy bits due to the thinness of material at the "V" ends and the headstock, the guitar herself is rugged and well-constructed. The bolt-neck joint is thicker than the more expensive set-neck versions but upper fret reach is incredible in comparison to most other designs-including neck-thru and set-neck older "traditional" single- or double-cut designs. I can't compare it to a real vintage "V" since I haven't had the opportunity to play one.The fretboard is MARVELOUS--The flat upper notes and slightly convex lower that the 12-16 compound radius provides ably demonstrate why many artists prefer this type of architecture and is a definite plus at this price point.I believe without hesitation that Randy would be proud to see this product and while he might have tweaked things had he lived, the Randy we lost would have been delighted to pull one of these out of a box back in 82
I bought one of these and it's my first electric guitar. I am learning from nothing, the most knowledge I had before was just strumming an acoustic guitar like I knew what I was doing. I read reviews before and I was worried because people were saying they were damaged or unfinished and I was slightly discouraged to continue with the purchase. I decided to just do it and I also bought a warranty just incase I figured. I believe everything I ordered luckily all came together, but it does ship separate sometimes it seems. Everything came about 1 day late than what was expected but I wasn't worried. Everything was in perfect condition and worked great. I have been playing pretty steady for roughly a month and it has taken any beatings I have given. I feel safe to say ... MoreI bought one of these and it's my first electric guitar. I have been playing pretty steady for roughly a month and it has taken any beatings I have given. I feel safe to say if it has survived my clumsy self for this long it's a pretty good starter. The only thing that bothers me is that there is some buzz, but I was expecting that from the reviews. Another factor that I wish I would have taken into account is I play more sitting down than standing and as you can see... this guitar is not going to balance itself with the shape as a strat or les does with the roundness. If you're alright with that personal preference decision, I see no issues.
