Jackson x Series Soloist SL3X DX (Oxblood)

Upper fret access is amazing. Bridge stays in tune after being a jerk with the bar. Light weight guitar, fast feeling comfortable neck. Pick ups sound good! Nice guitar

80's shredder

As a metal head from the 80's, when I saw this guitar I had to have it! The pictures do not do this gold crackle finish justice. You have to see it in person. Great action on this axe also. Fast neck and the pick ups are fantastic for 80's metal, 90's metal or todays genre. So, throw on your bandannas, eyeliner and ripped jeans and tear into some Ratt, Crue , Dokken or any other hair metal, or just jam on Megadeth, Metallica or some Maiden and take yourself away to the greatest time in rock. You will not be disappointed with this metal machine!!!

A Really Fun Play

Just picked up this guitar and I'm really enjoying it. The only criticisms are that the finish seems easily damaged by sunlight. I left it on a guitar stand near a sunny window for a couple of hours and there are clear streaks where the hardware was casting shadows on the finish. The other thing I've noticed is that the tuning goes out pretty easy when using the tremolo bar. I haven't yet taken it in for a pro set up which may help with that. But overall I'm really happy with the purchase.

Cool Axe!

This guitar is a blast to play! It was almost perfect out of the box with only a little intonation work on one string needed. It cries out to be played! The Floyd Rose set up definitely has a learning curve to it, string change is a little challenging. Can't think of a con unless you don't like green, if so go for the grey one. All in all, it is exactly what I wanted and a great guitar for its price range.

This guitar is an amazing deal if you are looking to purchase a soloist. This guitar looks and feels just like my USA soloist with the exception of the duncan designed pick-ups, which sounds killer too. The quality and build of this guitar is top notch! I am really impressed with the indonesian Jackson line!

Great guitar

I took a chance on one of these beauties and all I can say is finally Jackson has a great mid priced guitar again. I never liked the feel of the js series and i have a dxmg that I'm crazy about. they look like the same guitars but the dxmg is just far superior in feel. so my next move was to go all out and get an sl1 but dropping that kind of cash don't come easy. thought I'd try one of these sl3x's and am so glad I did, feels great, no complaints about the pickups(even though they are Duncan designed and not the tb4 you would get on the sl1 for $2500 . bottom line, if your looking for a great guitar in this price range get it. you wont be disappointed. It's A Jackson, What Else Needs To Be Said

Overall:A solid guitar, everything you would expect from a Jackson. It's a midline guitar for them, but with a quality and playability that exceeds many other brands "high-end" guitars.A side note...bought it in slime green....in person, the color is a little different than what I expected, more of a kelly green than a fluorescent .....not a bad thing, just something to be aware of.3 stars on manufacturer support only because I've never had to deal with them, so I can't say

Great guitar. Not cheep and not over priced. Good feel, fast, and sounds great. Only issue I has was it was not in tune when I received it. I guess I just expected it to be ready to play coming from Jackson.

Jackson X Series Soloist SL3X Slime Green Guitar

I love Jackson Guitars . It's only guitars that I play. I've always wanted a green one and it was an awesome choice. Just a few tweaks from my guitar tech (personal preference) and putting a Seymour Duncan JB tb4 trembucker in the bridge just as a personal preference also. but for what you get in this guitar is a very very good deal, Jackson Guitars for life !!!
