Jacob's Creek Double Barrel Shiraz Cabernet is a finely balanced mixture of ripe dark fruits and fine texture. The Limestone Coast offers fruit of intensity with ripe dark berry flavours and outstanding freshness. Finishing in Scotch Whisky barrels has softened the tannin profile whilst adding a slight cherry, crème brûlée edge, due to the heavy toast to the barrels.

Wow, the aging process has done something very nice for this wine. Complex flavors, rapturous bouquet, very long finish. A big wine for a hearty meal.

I found this to be a little too rich to drink on it's own, so added some lemonade, which was possibly a mistake as it made it very very drinkable! I shared this with friends, who also enjoyed it, but felt that one glass would be enough, due to the richness and concentrated flavour. It is a quality bottle of wine, with a beautiful design. It's more than I would normally pay for a bottle of wine, so would keep this for special occasions as a treat. It's due to the price that I have rated this 4 as opposed to 5 stars.

Was sent this product free so I could leave a review and this is what my husband said as he is very keen on the stuff: If you?re a fan of big, bold Aussie red wine then you will almost certainly enjoy this premier offering from Jacob?s Creek. It has all the power, spice and full bodied flavour one has come to expect and is undoubtedly a step up in quality from the ?normal? Southern Hemisphere fare. However, at this price point it faces some pretty stiff competition from Europe and South America. In the end it is down to personal preference and if this is your style then you won?t be disappointed.

Full bodied with a rich taste, it is great tasting as you drink it but also lovely aftertaste. It's very drinkable and the bottle went far too quickly! Ate it with steak and it was the perfect accompaniment.
I don't profess to be a wine connoisseur, I don't know the correct terms and descriptive words, but I know what I like. And boy o boy, I like this! It's a lovely deep red, almost purple colour, with a fruity, plummy smell. It tastes incredible, we had it with steak and chips and it went beautifully. I would definitely buy this again.
This wine is lovely and smooth. It is packed with red fruit flavours and is very easy to drink. I served it with a Roast Beef dinner and it was the perfect accompaniment. I would definitely buy this wine again.
As a big lover of the Laithwaite?s big red selection I would not recommend this particular wine only due to the price. It?s very very expensive for a High Street brand and you can get a much better big red for several pounds cheaper. A friend bought me a bottle of this and I was very impressed so I bought a few more myself! The wine has a subtle hint of whisky from being aged in whisky barrels and this makes the wine really well rounded and good for drinking either with food or alone. Highly recommend!
I was intrigued by this wine due to the fact that it had been aged in Scotch Whisky Barrels so thought I would try it. I normally find Shiraz a little heavy but this was not the case with this Jacobs Creek. The wine has great aromas of Blackcurrants and has a very clean taste. It is best to let the wine breathe in the glass for a minute before drinking and then you will find a smooth , rich wine that despite a higher ABV is really light. We enjoyed this with Lamb Chops and are sure it will go well with any meat dishes. Very enjoyable, I will buy again and would recommend .
My husband and I are usually Malbec drinkers, but tried this as we like full bodied wine. this is absolutely beautiful, deep and fruity with the faintest whiskey aftertaste. Will be repurchasing many times!
