"Beats by Who???"

I just discovered this hidden gem of a find for 1/5 of the cost of what PowerBeats actually cost with all of the heart and performance. I had no idea that Homedeics (the folks that bought us the iHome iphone/ipod dock from 3 years ago) would bring us a product so dope at the fraction of the price of the technology and actually delivers. The unit is very easy to operate and pairs with your cellphone and or tablet in seconds for a superb listening experience. I listen to all music from Rock to Classical, to Jazz and the 80 mm drivers delivers crisp vibrant tones of well-balanced music no mater whatever your genre preference. Suprizingly enough I was very impressed to hear how these headphones hold their own when listening to bass-heavy tones of R&B, Hip-Hop and Regge. ... MoreI just discovered this hidden gem of a find for 1/5 of the cost of what PowerBeats actually cost with all of the heart and performance. Unlike the PowerBeats by Dre, these headphones stay in my ear even during jogging or when I'm cycling in the park even without the supplied ear clips that come included in the packaging. I really appreciate the sound isolation that these headfones have especially for me, a NYC subway rider. I use these headphones daily in my commute to work to drown out the noisy sound of the train and surrounding conversations, something that the PowerBeats couldnt seem to do due to the fact that their buds didn't seem to stay completely in my ear which lead to hearing external sounds from outside along with my music. One of the best headphone purchases that I copped in a long time. You will not be disappointed with this purchase.

Just got mine yesterday and the packaging is really good. Only problem I had was it did not come with a carrying pouch since I travel a lot..total bummer, I wish Best Buy can help me with that. One negative thing I also saw with the way the wires were packages was the wire on one of the earphones was "bent" or should I say twisted too much so when I wore the BT earphone around my back the wires are kind of not balanced out if you know what I'm saying. Also tested the BT with my midnight jogging earlier and had no problems with it. It stayed on my ear the whole time but you will have to adjust the wiring on that adjusting tool at the back (where you bend the wires according to your preference to make it shorter or longer). I bought this product using the $25 certificate so it was kind of like a free item. The earphones also come with a magnet so that if your not using it you can kind of attach both earphones and wear it like a necklace which makes it secure.Pros:-Cheap-Very good quality with sounds-Can withstand workouts/sweat-Comes with blue and gray colors-Small/Medium/Large earplugs includedCons:-Mine did not come with a "carrying pouch" (supposed to have a pouch as advertised)-One of the wires of the earphone is already twisted but I can live with thatOVERALL A GREAT PRODUCT FOR ME!

Good IEMs for the money

I did not want to spend an incredible amount of money on the IEMs but still wanted somewhat decent sound quality. I think I got this. I got them on sale for $27 and they have good sound quality but not on the same level as the Klipsch (but I did pay more for the Klipsch).Fit: They fit relatively well. Sometimes they will hurt my right ear and sometimes they don't. They seal relatively well too. Occasionally, they slip a little and I have to push them back into place. I did find that they seal best and stay in place when I place them in my ear with the cables pointing down and then twist the earbuds forward and up so the cables are pointing up and then go behind my ear. Pointing down they did not seal very well. Please note: the key for IEMs is that they need to seal or you will lose a majority of your bass. Also when they seal it blocks out other sounds and you only hear the music unlike the traditional earbuds.Durability: So far they have held up well. I have had them for a couple of months. I throw them in the side pocket of my gym bag and then my gym bag gets tossed around and so far they are pretty durable.Battery: I usually get about 2 days worth of working out before I recharge them. I work out 2-3 times a day for about 20ish minutes to an hour for each session. They have only gone dead on me once so far while working out. Not bad.Sound Quality: Please remember that I am comparing a $27 set of IEMs to an $80 set (I realize you can get much more expensive than my Klipsch too). Also realize that bluetooth was not really designed for music it was designed to connect a phone to another device for voice transmission so bluetooth does degrade audio quality. My Klipsch are wired and not bluetooth. The Jams have a strong bass response, sometimes too strong. Depending on the song it can be a little muddy. The Jams have a good midbass but again due to the strong bass it can also be a little muddy at times. The midrange is pretty good with decent detail but I wish it was a little more open/spacious in the upper end which would give it a little more detail. I do believe that the midrange is somewhat masked by the strong bass presence. Lastly, the high end response is the weakest area. I wish the upper frequencies were brighter and more pronounced (not overbearing though). They remind me of a cheap speaker where the highs are there but you are wanting more. While this sounds like I am really bashing the sound quality I am not. I am trying to be overly picky for those of you who are (that is not an insult as some people are very picky about the sound they want). Also, for $27, these earbuds sound good. Do they sound as good as my Klipsch, no but they are not supposed to. Bluetooth is a factor that the Klipsch do not have to worry about. Also when you pay more than double the amount for the Klipsch you do expect to get something more than just the name. If they would back off the bass a little and open up the upper midrange and strengthen the high end response these very well could be a 5 star set of IEMs. They are in the ballpark but need a little fine tuning to get there.Overall these are a great bargain. You get good sound quality for a good price. Give them a try and see what you think.

Great Wireless Earbuds!!!
19 August 2016

These wireless earbuds are amazing. When I initially decided to purchase a new set of earbuds, being an iPhone owner, I had planned on purchasing another pair of the standard issue apple ear buds. However, I've always preferred earbuds that have the ear-hooks to secure them to my ear, because I largely use my earbuds when I'm working out. There is no bigger pain than an earbud that you constantly have to keep adjusting during a run because it keeps coming out of your ear. Additionally, when considering these earbuds, I was attracted by the idea of no longer having to deal with a ridiculous cord running between my phone, and the earbuds themselves. Now, I was concerned by the fact that I may not have as rich a sound experience, but that isn't a problem with these ... MoreThese wireless earbuds are amazing. They've got a nice sound across the spectrum.I also was concerned with price, and thought the apple earbuds may have been a better choice because they are wired (which usually means a lower cost when compared to Bluetooth). Surprisingly, I used a $10 dollar coupon I had earned through rewards, and it was the exact same price I would've paid for the apple earbuds.Overall, this is a great set of earbuds, and they are a great price.

Great entry-level wireless earbuds!
27 January 2017

This is my first pair of wireless bluetooth earphones, but I did try out a couple of others before deciding on these. For the price, these far outclassed anything else I'd tried out. These earbuds came with an impressive number of accessories. It has a set of clip-on behind-ear loops and 6 (yes, 6!) sets of earbud cushions. There are 3 sets (small, medium and large) of normal foam rubber, and another 3 sets of more rubbery semi-clear "securelock" cushions. These securelock cushions are ribbed and do indeed seem to stay in your ear channel better than normal ones.As for audio quality, the 8mm drivers provice a bass that's perhaps not quite as deep as expensive premium sets, but for the price (I got them on sale for $25), they sound really quite good! The built in ... MoreThis is my first pair of wireless bluetooth earphones, but I did try out a couple of others before deciding on these. It seems to do a better job when you're in an enclosed space (like in your car or bedroom) where your voice can more easily bounce around than when you're outside.Battery life is alright, I suppose. For one who's used to using wired headsets, any recharging seems a nuisance, but at least it uses the same micro-USB interface as my phones and other portable devices. I haven't used it extensively yet, but I went for 2 days without needing to charge it while using it for a couple of hours each day. I'll probably just get into the habit of charging it each night when I go to bed.The bluetooth signal seemed pretty stable...I conneced it to both a Samsung Galaxy S7 and a Samsung Gear S2 classic without problems. I am curious as to exactly what version of Bluetooth these headsets support (v4.2 like the S7, v4.1 like the Gear S2, or something even older like v4.0?)...to the point where I even called the manufacturer. They didn't know either, but will supposedly send me an email later once they've investigated.

Never using wired earbuds again
10 September 2015

I've been wanting a set of wireless headphones for running and have talked to many different runners about what brand and style they use. When I was presented with the opportunity to review these I jumped at the chance. When I saw the picture on the website I was confused on how they would stay in your ear. I thought there is no way that ear bud is going to stay put while running. Once I received my Jam Transit ear buds the answer was clear - there is a removable clip that goes around your ear that holds them in place (see pics). I was worried that these would be uncomfortable and interfere with sunglasses but neither proved to be true. These were very comfortable and the wrap around clip never interfered with my sunglasses in any way.Jam includes a few different sizes and styles of ear tips to customize the fit and also the noise cancelling ability. There is a smooth style tip and a ribbed tip, three sizes and two sets of each. The ribbed tips allow more ambient noise to "leak" in. This is a good thing for running as you want to be aware of your surroundings.I have worn these on several runs and also while lifting weights and the ear buds have had no ill effects from sweat. I know several runners who had wireless headphones fail due to sweat penetration. The only negative I can think of has to do with the cord length that connects the ear buds to each other. I can't see any reason that it needs to be 20" long. You end up with a bunch of excess cord for no reason. Jam includes a plastic cord wrap that allows you to wrap the excess cord and it is contoured for your head. The issue there is you end up with the weight of the cord plus the piece in one central location and it flops around and hits you in the back of the head repeatedly when running. If you wrap it so it's tight to the back of your head you will end up stressing the cord which could lead to fatigue. I ended up leaving my cord dangle which ended up not being an issue at all aside from it occasionally flopping around and leading me to ask myself why in the world it needs to be that long.Charging is fast and easy and in the times I have used these I have only charged them once. They come pre-charged so you can use them right out of the box.The sound quality is really, really good. I was impressed at the bass response as well as how clear they were even at higher volume.Considering the price point of these I don't think you can go wrong. Some people I have talked to have paid 2-3 times this amount for other brands and some have failed within a couple weeks of purchase. So far the Jam Transit ear buds are holding up fine and the sound quality is very impressive.

Perfect for my needs
8 September 2015

I just needed a set of earbuds for my tablet. I didn't need anything that advanced or skipped or rewound music or or answered phone calls so this was the perfect set of earbuds for me. If you are looking for earbuds that do this keep looking because these are not for you.First let me begin by saying this is a wonderful set of earbuds. The magnetic closure is an excellent feature and extremely useful. The little neck holder to weave the excess cord through is genius because its adjustable to different people and even better is the shape and the ear hooks to make sure they stay put through even the most vigorous activity. I didn't need anything that advanced or skipped or rewound music or or answered phone calls so this was the perfect set of earbuds for me. You can raise and lower volume even with Bluetooth volume at zero could still hear sound through earbuds and it was really loud when at full volume. Since thee earbuds are Bluetooth and my daughter is a techie she hooked them up to the phones and they easily connected to phones (Galaxy 4, LG G3) but you have to manually answer the phone because the earbuds do not automatically answer with a push of a button to use earbuds as a Bluetooth connection. The only way I knew that there was a call was the break in the music but as soon as the call ended the music started right back up again. They have clear sound and the microphone is loud and clear from the phone calls that I’ve used it one, but as I’ve said earlier I mainly use it attached to my tablet.

Started out well, could be much better

This was my first pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones, so ill be fair to say that i dont know the general good form bad with these things. ill start with the positives. the signal on it is great, the advertised 30 feet plus away is true, though that can vary depending on what in the direct line of radios of your device to the headphones themselves. when i first got them, the sound was great, bass was very decent for the headphones and the highs were less then perfect. the overall design is very well made, its light, and fits into the ear well. i have very weird shaped ears and the only headphones that have ever fit perfectly where Bose sound trues, but these fit almost just as well especially for buds which i dread. the hooks can be a bit hard on the ear but ... MoreThis was my first pair of wireless Bluetooth headphones, so ill be fair to say that i dont know the general good form bad with these things. ill start with the positives. the signal on it is great, the advertised 30 feet plus away is true, though that can vary depending on what in the direct line of radios of your device to the headphones themselves. when i first got them, the sound was great, bass was very decent for the headphones and the highs were less then perfect. the overall design is very well made, its light, and fits into the ear well. i have very weird shaped ears and the only headphones that have ever fit perfectly where Bose sound trues, but these fit almost just as well especially for buds which i dread. the hooks can be a bit hard on the ear but otherwise conformable and secure. though the overall design is a but bulky, it still looks nice and doesn't make you look like a secret service agent in public. the cord is very durable, never had to worry about ti like any other headphones. charging time can be a bit iffy, i usually will charge it through the night when i get the chance and use it throughout the day in school and work. now i know charging times vary, and the manufacture calculates this under the absolute best conditions down to the temperature, but i can say that i play music loud, almost all the way anytime i use it, then leave it on idle. so when its fully had a nights charge, i can usually take it through a whole day of school and work, and usually it goes out by the time im home. keep in mind though most of work and class time its on but not blasting, when it is on though, its blasting. so now for the bad. when i got it, it was loud, not its not. at all. at first it thought it was me, but after handing t to several friends they said its not loud at all. for about two weeks after i got it, one side actually stopped working working fully. it later on came back for the most part but both sides have been quiet ever since and with the right side barely audible even on high. the charging time has for sure decreased, and the bass isnt there at all anymore. suprisely its good for sound blocking which it is good at. but you have to get it just right. so when it was good, it was great, but i didnt think it would deteriorate so quickly, then again you get what you pay for and its not even 45 bucks.

Very nice basic earbuds for very nice basic price.

PROS: - Inexpensive! - Simple to use. - Includes several sets of tips with different sizes. - Magnetic connection. - Good sound quality. - Requires only a short charging time. CONS: - Bulky. - No special features or audio prompts. - Cord management 'thing' is not very useful. - Not very loud. SUMMARY: These buds won't be your 'best ever' in any sense and being so big and bulky won't win any technical awards either, but for such amazing price they will surely satisfy your needs with decent enough sound quality and very easy operation. I've replaced my MUCH more expensive 'PLANTRONICS BackBeat FIT' earbuds that just simply stopped working, but by first test, I have no regrets for buying this cheap model. There is a built-in microphone to take calls, but as usual from ALL such devices, the audio quality won't compare to dedicated phone ear-sets and the other party may have difficulties understanding your words. But they work and deliver an overall nice enough experience. I like the magnetic solution, so you can have them around your neck like a necklace without worrying about losing them, and the 3 different color options also give some options to chose from. So, in the end you're getting very nice basic earbuds for a very nice basic price, which I can recommend to anyone on a budget. :)

easy to use

This is the first set of wireless headphones I've had a chance to use, and, in a lot of ways, I was pleasantly surprised. Setting them up to use is relatively easy. The instructions are straightforward, and the headphones can be ready for use out of the box in about 3 hours. This is the amount of time necessary to charge them for first time use, similar to a new cell phone. The only quirky thing about the setup was that there's not a plug included for charging via a wall outlet. However, the included cord is compatible to any USB port on a computer (or if you have a cell phone charger that has the USB input), so you should be good to go by just plugging it into a computer. Please keep in mind that these are meant to be used with a device with Bluetooth compatibility ... MoreThis is the first set of wireless headphones I've had a chance to use, and, in a lot of ways, I was pleasantly surprised. The only quirky thing about the setup was that there's not a plug included for charging via a wall outlet. However, the included cord is compatible to any USB port on a computer (or if you have a cell phone charger that has the USB input), so you should be good to go by just plugging it into a computer. Please keep in mind that these are meant to be used with a device with Bluetooth compatibility (e.g., smartphones, tablets, iPhone, iPad, newer iPods), so if you're trying to use this without a device Bluetooth you're out of luck. Connecting to your device is a snap; your device should recognize the mini buds once you turned on the device's Bluetooth and the buds. You're able to travel a good distance (say, 50 feet) away from the source without breaking the connection. The sound quality is okay but not great. So if you're listening to something other than Top 40 or classical music you will notice the difference between them and a mid-tier earbud (e.g., Skullcandy). The mini buds operate for about 7 hours on a single charge, which will get you through a day at the office if you're a 'listen while you work' type like I am. Overall, I think the Jam Transit Mini Buds are a pretty good value at $40.
