Jameson never disappoints. First tried Caskmates IPA at the airport on my way home. Picked up a few bottles, and I am looking forward to March when I return to Dublin. I will fill my suitcase, my husband"s suitcase, and mail some back to my home. Smooth. Pleasant with coke, ginger beer, straight, on the rocks. Every person who has tried it, loves it.KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK JAMESON.

Fell in love with this Whiskey at first sip. You don’t have to like IPA to appreciate the magic that happens with this edition. The alcohol burn is subdued significantly which provides a better overall drinking experience; in all honesty that is about only difference I’ve noticed with this edition compared to the traditional Jameson. This has replaced traditional Jameson as my go to drink.

A fun and interesting take on Irish whiskey. I am glad I found this in the store. I found the citrus notes pleasant and a nice way to shake up my Friday night whiskey (no pun intended). Definitely would recommend to the IPA lovers. Cheers!

I bought one of these just to indulge the "college" whiskey's different releases/finishes and I can certainly say it was surprising...On the nose it definitely has the IPA aroma but a little sweeter, on the palate it has a bit of spiciness but not overwhelmingly so, what I do adore about this whiskey is a note I didn't expect to taste, that being the taste of Turkish delight and/or rose water. I'd say it's Worth the price, even though I'm generally drinking the Wee Beastie of Ardbeg.I'll Definitely try the other caskmates editions they have to offer.
My boyfriend and I met and quickly bonded over our love for Jameson! We had been together for about 2 years and I want to say went through at least 3 bottles a week between the 2 of us. Our all time favorite is the Jameson gold, which we only drink on special occasions, and our second favorite is tied between the IPA Caskmates and the Black Barrel! We had been trying to have a baby for about a year and we have pinpointed our baby girls conception a few days after fourth of July when we had started and finished a bottle of Caskmates that evening!! The hardest thing about being pregnant is the fact that I can't drink Jameson, and I told the boyfriend that as soon as Luna is born that is the first drink I want to have!!
The caskmates IPA edition is great on its own. It’s a great drinking whiskey and makes a mean old fashioned, but what I liked best was pairing with craft beer. Don’t think this whiskey tastes like IPA, it doesn’t. You get maybe a hint of citrus in the nose, but it really shines when you have an IPA back. Take a sip of Caskmates IPA, then enjoy a bright west coast style hoppy IPA and wow! The grapefruit/pine from those west coast hops wake up some lemon/orange/lime citrus in that whiskey that you wouldn’t notice otherwise. It’s such a great beer and a shot pairing, but I don’t shoot the whiskey, I’ll just sip on it because the pairing is so good! Cheers, y’all!
Jameson’s has been my go drink for over 30 years and I’ve enjoyed every drop and have found no reason to change. Recently someone gave me the Jamesons Stout. It was love at first taste with a bit more body then My usual drink. Great job! Thanks
first time I tried this was at the Dublin airport. So delighted with the flavor and smoothness, Made sure to carry some home. Introduced neighbors to it. Now we have monthly Jameson parties.
Have had it multiple times and multiple bottles. Takes the acetone note in original Jameson out completely and finishes with the fruity notes that hops give on a good IPA, not bitter but ends with a bit of citrus. Excellent
I am a huge fan of all jameson. I actually just bought Lively and Tripel Tripel and they were delish. But lets discuss IPA caskmate. So i truly enjoy the original caskmate with the IPA barrel taste. The Jameson pulls in the colors and citrus notes to give it a very even feel. I must say however, the IPA caskmate with Revolutionary Brewing, could even be a bit better. For me, its just tougher to find. :) Overall, highly recommend it.
Jameson Caskmates IPA Edition Irish Whisky, vol. 40%, 70cl This whiskey of the Jameson brand is produced at the Midleton Distillery in Ireland. It receives its finish in Indian Pale Ale barrels, with the producers always relying on the high-quality barrels of the Cork-based Franciscan Well Brewery. The blends of the Caskmates IPA were consistently aged in the barrels previously filled with Indian Pale Ale by the brewery. The Irish whiskey tastes of spicy grain notes paired with sweet malt, a light citrus note and lots of herbs. IPA = Indian Pale Ale, a top-fermented pale beer with a very high hop content and relatively high volume percentages.
