The ultra-slim housing allows for discreet placement anywhere in the room. The 90Β° angled power plug does not get in the way anywhere, whether directly on the wall or under the sofa. The connections and controls are invisibly located on the bottom. The side-firing subwoofer can thus be elegantly combined with the vintage fabric cover.

I was upgrading from a very old Boston Acoustics system that I really loved. That subwoofer could push some major shakes, but it was MASSIVE. I recently purchased the Jamo S809 Surround system without a sub, but when I saw this matching one go on sale I figured, "Why not?". I was a bit skeptical at the small size of this unit vs my BA sub, but when I got it hooked up, and fine-tuned, I CANNOT believe how amazing it sounds! It might be better than my old BA sub, at less than half the size! The drivers must be freaking amazing in this thing! I can't recommend it enough! Do yourself a favor, and experience movies with the bass they were meant to have!

This sub is nothing short of astounding. The depth of the base is incredible for such a design and it can be adjusted to be loud, real loud yet as clean as thin air. I have an amazing Klipsch 10 inch sub in another room that has a different more traditional design and it competes very favorably with it. Very little if any difference. The only issue is the controls lay on the bottom of the sub facing the floor. I'm not sure why they did this, probably to keep any electronics from being in the way, not sure but once you calibrate it and put it on auto, there's no need to tamper with it again although I do like to mess with the sound. Well worth the money and much more.I give this sub 5 stars

Wow, small sub, yet pretty good bass for what it worth. Did a bass sweep test right away, and this sub is able to produce bass audible at 30hz! That's pretty low for a very budget subwoofer! To get anything audible down at 25 hz, you'd have to spend at least $500 for a SVS sub which I have in my living room. This is the perfect bedroom sub, hell get another one so you can have bass pumping out in a different corner of the room!

For a great bang for the buck, when able to catch on sale, this is a no brain winner! The cabinet is quite neat with its compact depth and it operates as intended providing nice auto on/off bass thumping action. I currently have 2 sitting on top of each another until I redo my setup and am able to space them outside or perhaps behind my TV stand.Zero complaints, well except from my wife when I'm gaming or watching movies and she heres the bass a couple rooms away :)
I bought two subs to fill out the sound of my covered deck area (they will be brought in during inclement/winter weather). Arrived timely and in great shape. I paired two of the S 810 Sub with four Jamo IO-6 outdoor speakers. I felt I had reasonable expectations of what these would add, especially in an extremely open space, and I have been pleasantly surprised. They sound great together.
I've been really impressed by Jamo Studio 8 speakers. They look and sound fantastic. The S10s were the finishing touches to completing a Jamo 5.2.2 system. They replaced Boston Acoustics VR500 subs and in my opinion match their performance with the differences being the new Jamo subs are tighter especially in the upper bass but not quite as low as they are rated to 36 Hz. Though with room gain, they feel like they dip lower while watching movies. Though, I mostly listen to music on this system and I really find these Jamo dual subs really accentuate the imaging and soundstage.
Mostly good. A small dent from shipping. The design flaw is where the controls are. They are at the bottom of the speaker. Along with the power cord and connection wire. The speaker cannot stand flat. I built a stand for it. A notch type of pass through for the wires would be very helpful. It sounds good and I think it's a good value.
It works well for what it needs to do. I have this in combination with a sound bar. It gives off a good presence of base although due to the design you won't feel it as easily except at louder volumes. The problem is that the speaker is facing towards you if you place it as such. The instruction manual details how you can position it in different ways whether it be face down or face up underneath the couch or with the front of the woofer facing a wall if you're looking for that feeling of bass. There are other units that will give you that low end if you're the type that likes to feel it. Otherwise you'll have to do a little bit of research on your placement within the room and whether or not you want to put it in a different position other than what it was designed ...Β MoreIt works well for what it needs to do. I mainly got this to have the sound being correct overall, and it's smaller footprint when you place it on its designed position. Recommended.
This is a solid sub if you need something that's both inexpensive and compact. The adjustable crossover is a nice touch for pairing it with different speakers, and it fits neatly under a desk.It includes a right-angle input cable, which is a nice touch, but the input section has enough clearance to use a typical RCA cable as well. It's a bit obnoxious to access the controls once you've put it in place, but it's not the kind of thing that needs constant adjustment, so it's an ok tradeoff for the minimalist look.
LArger than I expected, and well made/solid. Sound is good and strong and overall happy. What I don't like are the controls being underneath - terrible for minor adjustments. The cable it come with assumes you have a single output for the sub so you will have to but a Y cable (all male) if you have an older receiver. Worst of all is I have to have it on its side because I cant find a Y cable with a 90% angle for the sub end.In short - sounds good and works fine, but an impractical design to the point that I would not recommend it.
