This backpack is absolutely adorable! I was so excited to get my 9 year old daughter a Jansport because that’s all I used as a kid. There are so many pockets and she especially loves the pocket for her chromebook. I took off one star because the color is clearly not what is pictured, we are expected a beige/tan bag with the strawberry print not a pastel pink. My daughter still loves it and that’s all that matters!

Didn’t last a single school year. Almost immediately the water bottle pouch tore away from the bag. The materials feel incredibly cheap, especially compared to older versions. The inside of the backpack is inexplicably WHITE, so the bag looks filthy after a few days and you can’t wash it. I reached out to JanSport because they claim to have a lifetime warranty. They described the ripped pouches on the side as “ normal wear and tear “ even though it ripped within the first 10 days of use. The JanSport we bought our son also fell apart, with similar issues ( plus zipper issues) within the first few weeks. This isn’t the backpack company it once was. Time to find a quality one!

Bought this backpack for my daughter to use at school; however, within the first month, one of the zippers no longer worked and the side bottle holder material came unsewn. Also the material feels cheap and flimsy. So disappointed since this backpack was the rosy pink color she wanted.

This backpack is amazing! Very large and perfect for middle school and high school. There are seven pockets in total. Chromebook pocket (all the way in the back) , main pocket (which is HUGE) , second largest pocket (perfect for gym clothes) , a zipper pocket (perfect for your wallet or sunglasses) , a bigger zipper pocket which has the jansport logo on it (has an organizer with 3 pen slots and a pocket for your phone and a key holder more room for any pencils) , a small zip pocket (perfect for your phone, storing pencils and pens, or any hygeine products) , and one water bottle pocket. I have a 32 ounce water bottle and it fits perfect in there.
This is one of their classic large backpacks that Ive been using for decades. This one replaced an older one that just got too raggedy over its 10+ years of life. Jansport is great, and this, being one of their larger offerings, is a prime example of the quality and durability you get with Jansport. Solid 5 star backpack.
RIght when it arrived, I could tell the quality wasn't super good. After not even one quarter into the school year and it got a huge tear. Too cheaply made for the price. It also looks very bulky when worn, but it definitely held a lot. Besides that, the backpack is just meh. Not worth your money!!
I got this from my junior year of high school I've had a Kanken since my freshman year and it was just way too small. I knew I wanted something bigger and I spent weeks looking for the perfect bag when I saw this one at target I just had to get it. it fits all my stuff perfectly and it's super cute. I love how there is multiple pockets that way I can keep it organized. Each pocket has it's own purpose and it is going to be great to use for my junior year. I'm using for my trip to the Mall of America in a couple weeks so I'll update on it's effectiveness after then. Over all I would say that it's super good quality, adorable, and perfect for someone who has lots of classes and extracurriculars like me!
Jansport is an incredible company. Well designed and manufactured packs and if anything fails on the pack, they offer warranty repair service. I bought my kids their first Jansport backpacks for kindergarten and then this larger "big student" bag for middle school. I've only needed to replace backpacks for additional features and space, the original kindergarten bags are still in service as day packs for a hike and their "big student" bags are off with them to college.
Not the quality I expect from JanSport. The material of the bag itself is very thin. The bag is roomy and did hold up through my 6th grader’s semester but the water bottle netting started coming apart in the first week. A duct tape repair kept it usable but she brings a water bottle to school every day so it is an essential feature. Two stars for the colorful design and roominess but would not purchase again.
With plenty of zippered pockets for organization. My daughter loves her backpack so much she is already packed and ready for school. My daughter's middle school is under construction and they do not have use of lockers this year. Students have to carry everything with them all the time. This backpack holds more than backpacks my high schoolers are using. I do wish it were black on the bottom to hide dirt. That will be a problem.
