So, bought this while I was doing some outdoor lawn & landscaping work. Thought this would be the perfect solution to some mobile tunes. (I am not a big fan of earbuds).Charged it overnight, and the speaker died in less than 20 minutes. Tried to charge again, no luck... exchanged at store for a new one.Had the same issue with the replacement. Charged overnight, and as I paid more attention to it, the "blue charged light" never appeared. Speaker died in less than 20 minutes again.Returned for cash. Been using this guy for a couple weeks now... And it's been pretty great.I own a few budget Bluetooth speakers and this one is now definitely my favorite... Here's why:- most importantly... The sound quality is good. Best I've experienced yet. Volume level is adequate (I've maxed it out, may be nice to have a little more output available) and bass is good also (my other speakers don't compete)- the look is nice and simple.- great size and weight...may not seem like a big deal, but I have others that are clunky and can't really fit in a bag for transport... This one seems like a perfect size.Really happy with this speaker.Recommended

Picked up one in red after seeing just a couple of the reviews here, but also knowing that JBL is a decent company.Initial impressions after just a couple of hours are that this is a very good solution to have some music around you when working or puttering around. I am a contractor that works on large projects, so having a portable speaker attached to my tool belt keeps my music exactly where I am. This speaker easily attaches to a belt loop, and it appears to be very durable. I also use this speaker as a speaker phone when making calls. There was no feedback or interference on the call even when I held the speaker right next to the mic on my smart phone. It also works great on conference calls. I definitely would recommend this to friends. I am going to buy another one and give it to my mom who wears hearing aids. She tried it out and was amazed at how well she could hear a conversation. So it is not a matter of a noise power socket at my home. I just recently purchased the Clip+ because of its size and portability. However, when it is right next to my iPhone in my saddle bag when I am biking, it keeps disconnecting and pausing my iPhone controls on the music playing and sometimes shuts off on its own. It is extremely frustrating because I had to stop biking multiple times to reconnect it and it kinda defeats the purpose of listening to music when biking if the speaker does not work. It is not an issue with the battery charging at all, it has something to do with the connectivity. I tried turning off my phone's cellular service and still it disconnected unexpectedly. Second one I bought in Abu Dhabi, the Plus (which claims to be splash resistant). While enjoying it, I have come across one major issue and that is it cannot connect with certain laptops and mobile phones. Some phones just cannot detect the Clip at all on Bluetooth. Some laptops get paired with the Clip+ but cannot transfer audio signals to it, despite efforts to re-pair and reconnect. If this Bluetooth connection issue can be fixed permanently on future releases/upgrades, then the Clip+ will prove to be a great JBL. after my first clip+, my wife bought me the clip and I was told by Harmon these two together are not compatible, then I was told they are compatible so that wasted 6 months of my time and I eventually bought another clip+ when they went on sale.They both can connect to my cell phone but only one at a time so you have to daisy chain them together.The primary speaker is the one connected by bluetooth and is the primary volume control.
