I got this speaker about 7 months ago, and ever since I love listening to it. In terms of sound quality it is excellent; I never thought that a blue tooth speaker could sound this stellar. That's like being in the front row of a heavy metal concert.The one thing that almost made me not buy it was the lack of tone controls or an equalizer on it. But I found out that you don't really need one, and anyways the app that I use for music playing (Musicolet) has a 5 or 6 band equalizer on it, so it sounds even better than with it.Overall, you can't possibly go wrong with this excellent sounding blue tooth speaker. If you have been sitting on the fence about this product, then hop right off it, and go buy it. You will love its sound and light show, and you will definitely be the king of any party with this monster.I am definitely planning to get a 2nd one so that I can enjoy the ever famous stereo triangle set up and get true stereo separation from these great speakers.

Yes, it rattles windows. It shakes whatever you've got hanging on your walls around. But it can also be tuned to your sweet spot and listening preferences. You gotta play around with the eq on your streaming device, as well as straming applications. Furthermore if you use it in your house. Which I prefer. You have to play around and mess with where you position it. Ive found that in my home, anywhere along 1 foot to 2 feet off a wall and especially somewhat near a corner. Awesome. This speaker has incredible range .. from literal house shaking bass to sharp high trebles and everything in between. It's taken me a long time find a good speaker for playback of my favorite music and the Partybox 1000 has exceeded my expectations .... so much so, I bought a second one and linked them with the wireless stereo link feature. Two of these speakers would easily out perform component setups double the price. Only drawback I found was the fact there is no remote control for basic volume and track selection. Absolutely fantastic ... has to be heard to be believed. Even without the bass booster feature on (I don't use it) the depth of bass is incredible. I think that this is the big weak point of this product: the stability is not there when the sports practice becomes intense (running in particular).To sum up, I think that the product is of good quality in terms of sound, is resistant to humidity, has a battery that keeps its promises, but that it is not suitable for intense sports (violent accelerations) because it is much too unstable and can generate discomfort in the neck.

I was at first a bit skeptical when I found out that it has only 1 horn tweeter, but rest assured that this 1 tweeter is more than capable of producing excellent high frequencies. Also the mids, due to its two 7 inch woofers make voices sound incredibly clear, while the lower end (a 12 inch woofer) produces massive amounts of bass, whenever needed. [The bass can be regulated to 3 different levels: regular bass, bass boost 1 & bass boost 2]Also this speaker gets really loud, a Youtuber did a test and claimed that with bass boost 2 on it reaches 122 decibels and without any bass boost it goes up to 120 decibels per meter. If that doesn't tell you anything than imaging being at a Heavy Metal concert in the front row; that is how loud this thing gets.The next important feature for me was the light show which is really extraordinary! The lights on this speaker are truly amazing.Next I want to mention build quality: this speaker is built in a fairly robust way and feels and looks like it will be quite durable. However, JBL is known for using a lot of plastic on their speakers so don't expect it to have any wood. Overall, I would say that the build quality is good enough for such a speaker.This thing also has many connection ports, for example you can hook up a guitar or a mic for doing Karaoke with this speaker. Also you can connect CD players, a TV or a tablet to it..While the speaker is heavy (34.7 Kgs) it can be moved around easily due to the wheels on it.Playing this speaker has been a lot of fun and the light show enhances the listening experience. However, you need to be aware that this is a loud speaker with (if required) a lot of bass performance.I should also mention that the blue tooth connection of this speaker is great; I've never had any breaks in connectivity and some have mentioned that the blue tooth connection works up to 50 feet of distance, which is amazing.Overall, this speaker is definitely worth its price. It is actually amazing just how much sound comes out of just one of these speakers alone. I can only imagine how 2 of these wirelessly connected to each other would sound. But for me, living in an apartment complex, 2 would probably be overkill, and I believe that for most people having 1 of these is more than enough in terms of performance at home.So are there any shortcomings to this speaker? Well, for one thing it is not battery powered so it needs to be plugged in to an electric outlet to work. Also it does not have tone controls, however; this is not a problem because all players that can be downloaded on to your smartphone (for free) have in built equalizers on them.So for who is this speaker? I would say that music lovers that want to have great sounding blue tooth speakers should definitely check this speaker out. This is the biggest JBL blue tooth speaker, so if you think that this one is too big or loud for you JBL also has at least 3 smaller blue tooth Partybox type of speakers that you might find more suitable.Too make a long story short: if you want great sound, plenty of bass, a fabulous light show and a loud speaker then go for this one, you won't regret it.

Furthermore, the natural noise cancellation is particularly great!We don't feel like we're diving when talking (you know, the specific sound you have whenever you make a sound internally or try to speak when you have in-ear earphones?), big sounds are still there as there is no active noise cancellation but it is still very sufficient for daily usage.Great to use when doing sport as they don't pop out of the ears and having magnetic buds is a nice little feature whenever you need to take them off and keep them around the neck for example.At this price point, it's a bargain.
I am a "portable DJ" I like the ease of movement and having a 3 way speaker integrated in one is really helpful. Looks are amazing and pairing two speakers TWS works great (except they have a lot of delay). DJ pads are more of a gimmick but I sure can take them.
