Just WOW...Amazing clarity, Excellent Bass....I purchased this speaker to play backing tracks and rock music in my garage, so I can play guitar with the tracks, I currently have a 50watt Marshall Half-Stack, and want to jam kinda Loud sometimes, so I figured a 12" PA Speaker would cut it.....I only purchased 1 Speaker so far, and it's CRAZY loud....I have a 2-car garage, and have to open Both bays at 3/4 volume.....the sound will carry very far, I guarantee my neighbors can hear it hundreds of yards away. But these speakers are very manageable at Lower volumes as well, it doesn't start to Amplify Loud until past 1/2 volume.....but it Still holds absolute Clarity.....NO clipping, distortion or Sound break-up at all!!! I'm just blown away how clear and Saturated it ... Blue Tooth sound quality is actually amazing on this speaker, I was going to use a dedicated Cable for my computer, but honestly Blue Tooth is perfectly fine....because I've had issues with many speakers sounding Bad with BT, but not here........ I'm so glad I spent on the money on JBL instead of buying something cheaper......you know what they say, buy Cheap, you end up buying it Twice....... The only Con I can think of, is the control Knob moves kinda twitchy when navigating the Menu, but it does feel high quality.Unit is also Much lighter than I thought when grabbing from the Top Handle.

I had cheaper JBL IRX 12BT which I learned is not bi-amped. When I compared the two, the high end on this speaker was noticeably clearer and it made my other JBL sound muddy. This was with all eq settings at unity. And, yes, it has angled back corners so you can use it as a floor monitor.

Bought a pair. One month into the usage there's a random crackling sound from both speakers main is at 0db and channel level is below -50dB. Self noise could be better as well. Digital controls make the usage more difficult. Not something I would expect from a device labeled "JBL Professional"

Just got my speaker in and WOW !!!! It sounds Great !!! This speaker get very loud and sounds excellent. I started with just one EON715 in my home gym. I wanted to hear for myself if I needed more. If I was on a budget this one speaker would be all I needed. I will, however, be buying the subwoofer to complete my system.I plan on primarily using this system in my home gym. When we have any of our big family functions I can easily transport this system wherever we need it. I am very happy about my purchase.The best part for me is that I can connect to the JBL speaker with my iPhone, and play music just like I'm using my UE Boom portable speaker. Thr speaker is powerful, clean, quiet and lightweight. It sounds great JBL has earned a good reputation and always produced an exceptional line of reliable and supported products. I simply trust the name. The price is comparable to other non USA made speakers in this price range.
I ordered 2 after I read in the specifications (Bestbuy website) that it also works on 240v. I also spoke online with the bestbuy operator to be sure before ordering that it works on 240v and he said yes. When it arrived at the store, the surprise was that it only works at 110v. Very disappointed!
I sold my JBL PRX800s (815s,818s) for the same price I paid for them while posted overseas thinking I would replace them when I arrived back in the states. Unfortunately, I was told the PRX800s were backordered until October. However, while doing my research I found out JBL came out with the new EON 700 series for about half the cost so I ordered 2 EON712s and 1 EON718 (will order another one but read the rest of my post). Not much I can say about the 712s except 5 STARS !! I'm so happy with the sound and quality of these speakers and for the cost compared to the PRX line....you can't beat them. Plus the added BT streaming from my phone is nice. Now the bad news - ordered directly from Guitar Center on May 11th and received the EON712s within a week but I'm still ... I'm a working solo and duet musician/guitar player/singer and I was looking to upgrade to a more modern, sophisticated (not to mention better sounding) and quality single speaker system. I was concerned that the 710 might not deliver enough bass but after just a little tweaking using on board EQ and bass boost I was pleased with how much was coming from the 10" speaker even at low level. Of course if I ever feel my needs change and I need more I can always add the sub. Fit and finish are very good, substantial and tight. JBL makes stuff to last. I will most likely never test the limits of the 1300 watts so I'm pretty sure this will last as long as I need. On board controls are simple and navigation is easy using the color screen and intuative buttons, knobs and ... Excellent speakers. Great controls and trouble free. Would prefer to have handles on both sides as lifting onto stands is a bit awkward one sided.
After a long discussion with a JBL tech yesterday, it seems that these speakers are still not secure. How can these speakers be sold like this?! I can connect any device, any time to the Bluetooth. That means people in my audience can play BT from their phones while I'm playing a gig. Uh-uh. No way. These are completely unsecured channels and I am returning these speakers because THEY ARE UNUSABLE. This was a huge purchase that is hugely disappointing. I'm forever soured on the JBL name.
