The JBL Live headphones are a top-notch choice for music enthusiasts. They deliver exceptional sound quality, with rich bass and crystal-clear audio. The headphones are wireless and provide a seamless connection, ensuring a hassle-free listening experience. The battery life is impressive, lasting for hours on a single charge. The design is sleek and comfortable, with adjustable headbands and cushioned ear cups for extended wear. Additionally, these headphones come with handy features like voice assistants and touch controls for easy operation.

An absolute steal if you can get these on sale

Got these on sale for about 40 bucks. REALLY nice and luxurious build quality and good sound (with additional tweaking through the app if desired). Sound is slightly bass heavy and punchy. Treble has no crackle or tinnyness even at higher volumes. Mid tones are balanced, if sometimes lacking a little bit of brightness. I mainly use these for listening to music (jazz, k-pop, and RnB) at home, but they're good enough for gaming as well, since the surround experience is decent and the mic is good. The headphones can connect to two devices at once-- I love how I can watch a video on my PC while still getting notification sounds from my phone. The assistant functionality is pretty good (I use Google assistant) but I don't use it THAT often. The headphones are very cushy ... MoreGot these on sale for about 40 bucks. The headphones can connect to two devices at once-- I love how I can watch a video on my PC while still getting notification sounds from my phone. The assistant functionality is pretty good (I use Google assistant) but I don't use it THAT often. The headphones are very cushy and comfortable, but they're a little bit heavy so if I wear them for 3-4+ hours on end, the headband starts pressing into my skull. I have a small head so they're really comfy, but I did read that they can be tight for people with average or large heads. The cups aren't super breathable so you might run a bit hot if you're in a humid environment. The media control buttons are pretty small so they were hard to get used to and press correctly, but now I never accidentally press a wrong one. The battery lasts abouta week or more for me, using the headphones for about 4-5 hours at mid volume a day. The microphone quality is good, both on the inline mic on the cable and also the ones on the headphones themselves. They do pick up static-y noises (so something like an overhead fan or wind) so have that in mind. Discord's Krisp noise supression mitigates that though, so it's not a problem for me. The media control buttons work flawlessly on windows, which was a bit of a surpise for me. They will recognize and pause/play pretty much any media website and software I have tried. The TalkThru and Ambient listening modes work fine, but I barely use them so I can't really speak on them. Ambient mode picks up A LOT of shrill noises easily though, so you will not have a fun time if you use them in an area with traffic. I think TalkThru works better in nearly every scenario even though it's meant for picking up voices only. The only cons for me are that the headphones don't come with a case or even a cloth bag, and that the assistant touch surface is a mite too sensitive (it's really easy to accidentally activate while adjusting the left earcup). That's about it though. I'm really satisfied with this purchase overall and I think they're a STEAL at the sale price I got them for. For the original retail price of 150, I think you can find similar options for a lower price, so I wouldn't have bought them if it wasn't for the sale.

For (cost) comparison I bought my son Spiderman novelty headphones for $25So far they sound great when listening to music, and anything else. Good bass without sounding muddy or overly bass-y. Phone calls were pretty straight forward and without any drama. No complaints about being inaudible. For any one who is concerned: the call quality to me as the listener, is at least as good if not better than what I get with my gen 2 AirPods and that's all I needed them to accomplish. They were a little uncomfortable the first day or 2, likely due to never really using this style headphone and/or just having big 'ole ears but they are much better now. Now I am even able to use them without pain while wearing eyeglasses. Build quality is solid, battery life is longer than most people could reasonably anticipate needing. They are not ANC, but they isolate background noise fairly well. These come in at less than 1/2 the cost of a comparable model with ANC. It wasn't needed or worth the extra money for my use case which is generally limited to office use or watching videos in bed. The equalizer is pretty helpful for tuning the sound to one's needs. Overall it is hard to dislike these

All I really want in headphones is comfortable and easy with good sound quality, so I can't really comment on any extra features.pros: there is nothing wrong with these headphones, they work well enought, good sound ( no complaints), comfortable enough to wear all day ( though they did start off a little tight). Battery life is great, I charge them about every 3 days but I wear them literally 8+ hours a day sometimes. Charging time is also short, maybe an hour of changing to be fully charged.Cons: Major issues are with Bluetooth, Every single time I turn these headphones on I need to manually connect them to my phone by turning Bluetooth off then on again and selecting the headphones. (My old headphones used to auto-connect with no issues). Whenever I shut off my laptop while still connected to the headphones any audio playing on my phone will cut on and off for 2-5 minutes. The ear pieces also have a shape that allows hair to easily get caught in it, I have lost more than a couple strands of hair taking these off. Also kinda sucks that you can't use these headphones while charging. I'm not even going to mention the app, or the fact that you even need an app to run these, but I am not a fan.The distance you can travel away from your device before the sound starts cutting off is on the shorter side compared to other Bluetooth headphones. If you are planning on wearing these then roaming away from your device around the house or yard doing chores or whatever you may have soom issues with sound cutting in and out.Overal they work fine, just feels like a downgrade with the price in comparison to other headphones I have tried, I personally would not buy them again knowing what else is out there.

I bought a pair at the end of 2019 I believe, and I've been pretty happy with the product, although there are some shortcomings that I think should be noted.First, they aren't super comfortable. They're kind of heavy, the clamping pressure is a little high, the headband doesn't have much padding, and the faux leather earcups are not very breathable. This results in my ears getting sweaty if I'm using them for extended periods of time, and they give me a mild headache if I wear them too long due to the clamping pressure, and this is enhanced by the fact that I wear glasses. The long-term comfort is the biggest issue I have with these. Also, the earpads wore out within like a year of having them and started coming apart, I think due to body oils. The long-term comfort is the biggest issue I have with these. Also, the earpads wore out within like a year of having them and started coming apart, I think due to body oils. That's not very good, I hate using them now, but I'll touch on that later. As far as the user experience, really great. They pair and unpair very easily, the passthrough options are great. The controls could be better - I'd rather have the part that's used for Google assistant to be used for play/pause or volume or passthrough. I don't use Google Assistant very much, I would at least like the option to reprogram it. That may not be feasible at this price point, but still something that would be much appreciated.I do love the design of these headphones, they look great. And they sound pretty good with decent sound isolation. I'm not an audiophile, I'm sure there are better sounding headphones, and I know there are more comfortable headphones. But as far as I know, there aren't any other headphones at this price point like that.Final point is support and user-serviceability. User-serviceability could be better, which is something frankly every consumer electronics company can improve on. Like I mentioned, my earpads wore out and started falling apart after a year or so. I wanted to replace them, but I can't find replacement earpads on JBL's official website, which kind of sucks. That almost got me to go to a third-party to buy replacement earpads, because I don't want to buy a new pair of headphones. Mine still work fine. But I decided instead to reach out to customer support to see if they would get me just the earpads. I figured it was a long shot, but I'd at least try. And to my surprise, JBL actually let me purchase replacement earpads through their customer support team, which is actually really cool. Most people probably wouldn't want to fix it themselves, but I'm glad I do have the option. The option should be more accessible, but at least the option is there. And the customer support members that helped me were very helpful and understanding, I had no issues with them.Overall, I think for causal headphone users such as myself these are great for listening to music in between classes or watching TV or movies on my phone. They aren't the most comfortable for long cramming sessions if you're a student, and I wouldn't binge-watch an entire season of a show wearing them. But they look good, sound good, are easy to use, and JBL's customer service is pretty good. I think at this price point, these are a good value.

I bought this more than a month ago and I have had little to no trouble with them. I wear these copious amounts of hours for study purposes and for musical learning. In addition, I have worn them a couple times outside for shot walks.Fit: They fit comfortably for about 2 hours, then I feel like I need a break. It did take a week ish to get used to the pressure on my glasses from the headphones. The over-ear part is comfortable and the headband is usually the source of my breaks, but I'm not complaining.Sound: Well, it's not anything like in-ear buds from Apple, but it is adequate enough. It's better than any knock off earbuds I've had. Considering this is my first over-ear headphone experience I am really satisfied. The only 'con' I have is when I'm taking ... MoreI bought this more than a month ago and I have had little to no trouble with them. The only 'con' I have is when I'm taking walks, the sound seems to crackle or pop at the higher notes of the music. I've only used this on bluetooth, so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with that sort of connection of the headphones.Other Pros:I really the fact you can have 'noise-cancelling' (not truly noise canceling but is the default setting), semi-hearing and more environment settings for the top button.Cons: The price. I'm not sure the price is really worth +$100. I think the headphones does it job and I think it that for the quality of the headphones overall isn't worth +$100. I got these originally on sale for $70 ish.Overall, I'm really satisfied with these and I haven't had any issues regarding peeling on the headphones or connecting with bluetooth.

Lacks any volume
4 June 2023

Very sad how pathetic the volume is. The fit is great but if you're using them in Bluetooth I've tried several devices and they don't get loud or even close to it, I have not tried them plugged in and wont. I don't understand it when you have a company that mainly makes speakers you should knock it out of the park every time. Every product with your name on it should be nothing short of excellent value for the money. Unless JBL offers me an exchange or something ill put them straight from the box brand new and put them in the garbage, they are that disappointing. I shouldn't have let them sit around before trying them since im past return window from my retailer.

Overall Awesome Headphones
24 May 2021

It has been a number of months since I bought these headphones, and yet they still feel like they came straight out the box. This was the first JBL product Ive ever purchased, and I can personally say, that it does not disappoint. To start off with the most noticeable thing about this product: the sound quality is awesome, especially because of their soundproof and bass features. Did I mention how its battery lasts for over 16 hours? This along with the convenience of the easily connectable Bluetooth makes already makes this a must buy. Along with this, the headphones are wireless, although they do come with a wire if needed. Assuming that youve worn standard headphones before, you would know the struggle of always having to be tethered to a device when you just ... MoreIt has been a number of months since I bought these headphones, and yet they still feel like they came straight out the box. Anyways, the headphones are very comfortable as they have soft cushion fitted material. Although, it could be replaced or modified by another material source in its place so that I could wear the headphones longer without having my ears feel suffocated. All in all, this product has been, without exaggeration, the best pair of headphones Ive had the pleasure to wear, and plan to keep my current pair for as long as it lasts.

Very comfortable and good quality

I just bought this today after doing some research online and I'm very very happy with them. The main reason I got this particular pair is because it has 50mm drivers as well as the over-ear cups and that was perfect for me. I got it for 5k at a retail store which is a nice discount and totally worth it. The headphones are really good quality and fit so well on my head. Though the headband isn't very cushioned or soft it's designed so well that you won't even think about it once you wear it. They work with voice assistants though I don't want that option( You can disable it) there is a designated button on the left cup that's easy to press and access for it. Then the 2 modes talk through and ambience are a little confusing at first but you get the hang of ... MoreI just bought this today after doing some research online and I'm very very happy with them. Then the 2 modes talk through and ambience are a little confusing at first but you get the hang of it.Basically, talk through makes the music so soft you can easily hear everything around you (It might also use the microphone to help you hear the other person I'm not sure), then the ambience mode makes the music a very nice level but still a little softer than normal and you are able to hear your surroundings a little and the normal mode you get the highest volume so you can immerse into your music and not have to hear your surroundings. As I mentioned the headphones have 50mm drivers which makes them capable of good bass as well as good highs which is perfect for me. I really like the quality of the music from both Bluetooth and aux. Though these headphones have 4.2 Bluetooth and not 5.0 it's still perfectly okay for most listeners as from my research 4.2 and 5.0 have the same quality of audio the only difference is the length of connection. The unboxing experience is pretty nice and makes you feel like you got a nice set of headphones and the headphones themselves are very good-looking as well as comfortable. I probably can't stress this enough but the earcups swivel/move can move slightly and the earcups are designed to fit over the ear very well. The design is phenomenal and I can't wait to enjoy my music on these headphones.
