The JBL Quantum 100X is an okay headset. It definitely does the job if you're looking for a mediocre headset or a temporary replacement headset. I use it for gaming and watching movies from my PC. I like the fact that it's from a reputable brand, it's dependable, it has the features needed for gaming such as: volume control, mute button, microphone and it's adjustable. I really dislike the length of the cord, it's too short and doesn't allow me step away far enough without taking it off, it needs more length. The headset is a little too light for my liking, it feels a little cheap because of the weight. I don't like the volume control and mute button on the headphone, I think it should be on the cord. I like the mic removal feature and the option to remove the mic cover but the mic itself is super flexible and just seems like it'll break after a few uses. I was surprised with the quality of the material with it being a JBL product. It seemed a bit cheap, especially the earpiece cover, it felt like plastic.

Windows Sonic Spatial Audio is a highlighted feature for Xbox applications as well.Other applications that are supported by the Quantum 100X Console include Skype, Discord (Certified), as well as Teamspeak! My use and review/testing of the unit was related to my PS5 console and many sports and adventure role playing type games. Let me say.. WOW! My old headset did not offer near the clarity or depth of sound that I enjoyed while using this JBL unit. Bass was thumpy and punchy as you would want when playing these games to experience the real feel of being immersed IN THE GAME! Voice interactions as well as music is very crisp and clear with no distortion under the most rigorous situations.I used the unit for gaming for several hours on end and did not experience any type of head and neck fatigue as the unit is lightweight and just simple WORKS! The last thing any gamer needs when in the heat of battle is frustration from an uncomfortable gaming accessory and this one delivers! The only drawback I did not enjoy was the length if the cord supplied with the unit. The black/green cord (approximately 3 ft long) is permanently affixed on the headphone unit on one end so I did order an extra long cable extension as to utilize a more comfortable gaming seat several feet from my console. In closing the JBL is a viable alternative to much higher priced units the deliver a similar experience. I have enjoyed many hours with this unit and have not found any sound situation the unit does not handle flawlessly! You will not regret giving this Quantum 100X a shot at satisfying even the most picky gamer's ear... because ultimately.. SOUND IS SURVIVAL!

I have been using these headphones for computer gaming and so far they have worked exactly as I would expect them to. I was looking for a comfortable headphone for gaming and these fit what I was looking for. They fit quite nicely and part of that is likely due to the mobility of the ear pieces. They are not locked in to a specific position as other gaming headphones are. The ear pieces have the ability to rotate inwards and backwards. Another thing that makes them comfortable for me is there is enough space between the speakers and my ear. I have used other headphones when the speaker is pressed against my ear and after a while it makes my ear feel a bit sore. I have not run into that issue with these headphones, so I'm able to be comfortable for longer. For me comfort of the headphones while gaming is one of if not the top priority. While I do enjoy quality sound It becomes hard to pick up on some differences in sound quality between headphones, but something that is always noticeable is how comfortable they are. So these headphones ticked that box for me.The sound quality is very good. I feel that the details from the surrounding environments in the games is picked up quite well. The microphone has not given me any issues and I havent heard any comments from people online about how my mic might sound so I assume the quality of my voice through the mic is being sent out well enough.

I used this headset with my PS5, Switch, and work laptop. I was very pleased with all three uses! They are comfortable and light and I can wear them for hours without discomfort. I typically can’t wear a large headset for hours while playing games because my ears and neck get uncomfortable, but I never had that issue with this headset. The sound quality is top notch, as with most JBL products. Tons of clear bass, which really adds to a video game. The mic works great and no one ever had an issue hearing me. It seemed to block out ambient noise as well—my roommate could be making noise in the kitchen one room over, and it didn’t matter.I also used them for some Teams calls for work and they were excellent in that context too.I like that the microphone can be ... MoreI used this headset with my PS5, Switch, and work laptop. It transmits the voice very well and does not oversteer. The only downside to this model is that it doesn't have a flip up mute. You can only mute the headphones directly via a button or via Discord. Personally, I find it a little bit annoying. As a result the headphones are very good and comfortable with little points to get better.
My son recently got his first portable gaming console and I wanted to get him a headset so we don't have to hear the game audio during his gaming sessions and also talk with his cousins when playing multiplayer games. The Quantum 100P is a nice headset to have as a starter. Before handing it to my son I used it for about 2 weeks and I like how light and comfortable the headset is. It's also nice that I don't have to remember to charge the headset before using it since the only option is to plug it into a 3.5 mm headphone jack. Music sounds good when using the product with my phone and call are loud and clear. The volume is not that loud and this is a PLUS since I don't was hearing loss and definitely don't want my son to have any hearing problems. Overall I'm really happy with the Quantum 100P and my son is having a blast using them.
I´ve been using the JBL Quantum 100X for 4 weeks now and I'm quite happy with it so far.when unboxing the headset you find all the pieces well protected, so nothing should be damaged during transport. The only thing you have to do before using it, is putting the microphone in the jack at the left side of the headset. It can be worn 3 and more hours without getting uncomfortable. The only thing I was wishing for, was a LED or something to show me if the microphone is muted or not.My 12 year old son uses it regularly too for PS4 and is very satisfied.A very good headset with great features at an affordable price.
This JBL product has remarkably good sound for an inexpensive headphone set. The cord attached is sturdy (very important!) but rather short. I purchased a 3.5 mm male to female extension cord to use with this headphone. The volume control is located on the earpiece, not inline with the cable like some gaming headsets. The ear cups are comfortable, but the spring on the top band is a bit stiff which can cause some issues for extended use. As with any good fitting headphone of this type. external noises are severely attenuated. I primarily use this to listen to music, I like that the microphone is detachable and separate from the headset, so if you don't use it, you don't need to have it in your face. I think that extended wearing for several hours would be a bit of a struggle because of the tight fit, so I would not recommend it for extending gaming, or as a headset for those who are telephonic customer service representatives. But it is great for listening to music!
The Quantum 100X are wired over-ear headphones, primarily matte plastic with faux-leather on the earcups and green memory foam on the headband. They’re lightweight and the earcup padding is plush, and the clamping force is pretty decent. I have a pretty big head and they didn't feel tight at all, so those with normal-sized heads might feel even more comfortable. The wired connection means no lag in the audio, and the detachable, flexible microphone was high-quality. I used these for a few conference calls and folks on the other end said I sounded loud and clear. Volume control and mute are on the left earcup, and if I’m honest the rotary switch for volume felt a little loose. Overall the build fits that of a budget headset. In terms of sound quality, it’s pretty ... MoreThe Quantum 100X are wired over-ear headphones, primarily matte plastic with faux-leather on the earcups and green memory foam on the headband. Overall the build fits that of a budget headset. In terms of sound quality, it’s pretty obvious out of the gate that the 100X was not meant for listening to music but was designed primarily for gamers. Don't get me wrong, JBL makes great sounding headphones at all price levels, but if you're a primarily music listener there are better JBL options. The sound from the 40mm driver is super crisp and well-balanced. There seemed to be a slight bass boost, which didn’t bother me with gaming – instead it seemed to enhance the game experience. I was really impressed by how well JBL separates the highs and mids as opposed to drowning them out with lows, which is a real plus. You could hear footsteps around you even with explosions and other deep, loud noises. The soundstage is narrower than you’d find in an open-ear headphone, but if you’re in a noisy room or you want to keep the sounds to yourself, these are a really nice option. The surround sound worked really well, in my opinion. I was easily able to determine where things were happening.Bottom line: the JBL Quantum 100X are really good, inexpensive, entry-level gaming headphones. They are lightweight and comfortable, the minimalistic design looks good (I really like the green accents), the microphone was clear, and the sound was more than passable for gaming if not exceptional.
The JBL Quantum 100x for being an entry level gaming headset is one anyone can enjoy and use easily. Out of the box I tested it out with my Playstation 4 Remote. The headset is very light but sturdy. The soft leather cushions stay snug and sit well on my ears. The cushions could be a little bigger. There is not a lot of cushion on the top of the head, mainly plastic so had to adjust to make it comfortable. During gameplay the sound coming thru was very clear and you could definitely make out the treble and bass. I wish the volume could be a little louder though. When live talking with my friends they said they could hear me well except that I was a little too loud so I had to adjust the mic a little bit. The mic that came with the headset is adjustable. Overall from using it a couple of days, it is a simple ergonomic reliable gaming headset. I recommend this to anyone who just needs a dependable simple light headset. But if you are looking for something with more features such as the ability to have volume controls from the cord, more deeper sound definition or more personalized fit then look into the next tier of the Quantum series. But for hitting the main uses of being able to hear live clear sound, talk with your friends and light soft fit. Look no further than the Quantum 100x.
