First of all I am fan on great headphones and I had many in my life and I have tested pros and cons of them. I personally enjoy JBL products what I have bought before. I had some of the cheap JBL headphones and I have JBL CLUB 700BT heaphones and JBL Extreme 2 for what I am in really high opinion. So I though I would buy JBL Tour One as they claim to be best headphones out there from JBL.Well I was so disappointed even after a 2 week of use.1. In my opinion price do not reflects the features what they offers as JBL Club 700BT is by 100 euros cheaper but are on 100% better except that they do not have noise-cancelation.2. For example blanket or pillow lightly touching it pause songs or plays next... in app there is no option to turn that button off or when headphones are set on silent mode so the buttons are disabled except turn off button...4. First time tried active noise cancelation and honestly speaking I do not see much difference from passive noise cancelation. There are moments where I can see that noise cancelation is pretty handy, but those situations are rare.5. when I taking headphones off, I noticed that button what switched between noise-cancelation/ambient-aware/off modes time at times are pressed because the placements is inconvenient and it is really sensitive.6. If automatic noise-cancelation is turned on and when taking headphones off they turn off noise-cancelation is great feature, then there was time when I had turned my head on the side to take a look under table and that turned off noise-cancelation automatically what makes that annoying beeping sound, and then again that sounds when they turns off. So disturbing... :(I personally believe they would be best headphones if the bass would be increased, and there would be more control in app over the headphones, like disabling buttons at all or at least when sleeping. Although Cushions are really soft what I really like, and also that ears are completely isolated in headphones is quite nice. But overall I am sorry guys but could not give more stars than 2.

I've been using the JBL Tour One for around a week now and I'm mostly satisfied.Let's start with the parts I like. The heandphones have a great an comfortable fit and I can wear them for hours. The built quality is pretty much what I expected. I've used around 10 different pairs of bluetooth headphones, and the JBL are solid an I like their look.Another great advantage ist the JBL app, which offers great customisation and quite a few useful features like switching the commands of buttons or the EQ which can be set as one prefers. That leads to the sound. I didn't like the "out-of-the-box" sound that much, but after playing with the EQ a little while, I found the perfect sttings for my personal preferences. I love the sound of the Tour One especially for music, but listening to podcast or watching Netflix is great as well. I also had no noitceable audio delay when watching Youtube or Netflix. The touch controls as well as the buttons are great, as soon as you get used to their positioning.Call quality is fine, also I've used better ones.Let's talk about the only two things I don't like that much, first of all the price. In my opinion it's too expensive. Since I am from Germany, 300 € (as well as 280 pounds) is just to much, when comparing to other headphones. I think 200-250 € (190-220 pounds) would be a better choices, but the prices will start to drop soon enough.Last but not least the ANC feature. It's ok, but not great. I've used them in the office, outside and on the subway, the low frequencies are cancelled out pretty fine, but everything else isn't. Bose or Sony are far ahead. My conclusion is, tat the Tour One is a great pair, but not free of some minor weaknesses.

Good sound, not great. Fit comfortably, but any movement of your head will produce sound from the flex of the headphones. Didn't last two years before the headband broke on both sides rendering them useless. These never left my desk and were never misused, stored properly after each use. REALLY disappointed in these for the price. I have JBL everything, but will be looking at BOSE now.

These are not the Live series...the sound is balanced and remarkably unremarkable. Perhaps more for mixing and recording. Not extrevery loud, bass, but detailed and comfortable to wear. The earbuds are more expressive in this series.

First things first. The True Adaptive Noise Cancelling Technology on these headphones is AMAZING! I am able to truly block out the world with the Tour One's and I need it. I tend to use these a lot at work and also while at the gym. Both places I don't need any distractions, and with these headphones that is truly possible. The sound quality is what I would expect out of JBL... crystal clear, crisp, and powerful. The lows, the mid's, and the high's all equally balanced. And with the JBL Headphones App I am able to customize the type of sound I want. The addition of a built in Alexa and Ok Google just far surpassed my expectations for headphones. JBL really stepped up their game in the design department. The sleek curves and matte finish look amazing, but more importantly the comfort of the over ear cushions hug your ears and enclose them into a sound experience like no other. There are some hidden features which will become apparent while you play around with these headphones, but one that I liked is when you take them off your head or if they ever fall off, your music automatically pauses, which saves battery on both your device as well as the headphones. I cannot say enough about these headphones. If you are someone who is looking for quality sound and design, someone who needs to block out the world for a little bit, or someone who just loves amazing headphones.... Then the Tour One is the "one" for you!
Built quality:This pair of headphones is probably one of the best pairs that I have used from JBL (there are some downsides, of course). The looks and feel of it are simply amazing. I love how it has both matt and shiny accents to it and gives out premium headphones feel. Although it is made out of plastic, the ear cups have this soft touch, the band is quite flexible, little hinges look luxurious, and the paddings are made out of extremely soft leather material. Every detail on the headphones is well-designed. However, the shiny parts of the headphones are fingerprint magnets. You do not always touch those areas, but when you do, fingerprint smudges are very visible.Features:First off, I love the touch function. The right ear cup (outside) works as a remote. Every detail on the headphones is well-designed. However, the shiny parts of the headphones are fingerprint magnets. You do not always touch those areas, but when you do, fingerprint smudges are very visible.Features:First off, I love the touch function. The right ear cup (outside) works as a remote. If you tap it once the music starts/stops playing, tapping twice goes to the next song, and three times goes to the previous song. Tap and hold launches the voice assistant so either Google or Amazon Alexa or the native voice assistant (your phone’s built-in assistant e.g., Siri) which works quite well. I had no problems using it and it came in handy for some situations. However, it would have been nice if we had an option to turn the touch function on/off. I accidentally touched the touch panel various times with my shoulder when lying on the couch or in bed. A long press on the volume up button can act as the next song command and volume down would take us back to the previous song when the touch is not in use. That would have been a useful feature to have.I love the buttons as well. They feel high-quality and smooth to touch. However, the power on/off button was confusing at first. It goes to both sides and switching it back and forth took some time to get used to. Then, volume buttons are too close to each other. Again, you get used to it after a while but little bumpy plus and minus symbols on the volume keys or separation between the two would have been much more convenient. There’s only one button on the left cup which controls the ANC (noise canceling). From my experience, the placement of the button was a bit off. I caught myself accidentally clicking the button when sliding one ear cup behind my ear or taking the headphones off. One cool aspect about the tap and hold touch panel and the function button (ANC button) is that they are customizable (from the JBL Headphones application). They do not allow you to open a certain app or change it freely. However, you can choose between Voice Assistant, Ambient Sound Control, and WalkThru features. It might not seem like a lot but it is nice to have a bit of control over the use of buttons.Another really cool feature would be the “Play & Pause.” Sound automatically stops when you take off the headphones and it resumes as soon as you put them back on. I personally love that feature and it can easily be turned on/off from the JBL Headphones application. You can also select when you want your headphones to turn off if they are not in use. It ranges anywhere from 15-30 minutes to 4 hours and never (“Auto-off”). There is also the “Smart Audio & Video” function where it adjusts your listening experience. If you are watching a video, you select the video mode and that reduces the delay in between the video and audio. It syncs both together to create a smoother experience. However, it takes a few seconds to make that switch happen between available options. Then, there is a “My Alarm” feature in the application. I personally do not sleep with headphones but wanted to try it anyway for this review. I must say that the “Auto-off” feature is more user-friendly and it gets the job done better than this feature. There’s a “Keep Music on for” section where the music can play for 90 minutes maximum and then there’s a “SilentNow Session” section connected right below it which does not turn the headphones off or play songs with lower volume. It just keeps the headphones on for the alarm to wake you up in the morning. The alarm goes off from the headphones instead of the phone with this feature.Sound:Just like any other JBL product, the sound quality does not disappoint. However, it could’ve been better. One detail I noticed is that if you click the button on the left ear cup to activate ANC straight out of the box, it automatically goes into True Adaptive NC. It does an amazing job at keeping the outside noise out but it destroys the sound quality. Sure, it tries to adjust to the sound in my surroundings but there should not be a huge difference in sound quality. The bass feels missing and dry, vocals sound high-pitched and scratchy, and melodies lose their colors. However, once ANC is switched to “Everyday mode” that high-quality JBL sound takes over, as it should from the beginning. Ambient Sound Control works good as well. It allows in the sounds around you and helps you be aware of your surroundings. There is an equalizer built-in to the JBL Headphones application and it works great. It comes with a few sound presets but you can pretty much add as many presets as you want, name, organize, and arrange them. In addition, the microphone works really well. Most people I have had video and audio calls with said that it sounds like I am talking without headphones, the voice was very clear.Overall, the sound quality is good but it could have been better. I feel like the headphones are not loud enough but when it is at the highest volume, I did not feel any distortion. The sound quality was still the same. There is something about the mids that I just cannot fix. I tried playing around with the curve (in the app) and adjusting it according to get the best sound but it felt like a piece was missing. The mids feel a bit rough and hard. I had no problems with the lows, the kicks were very punchy and moody when I adjusted the curves but it was not the same for mids. Vocals felt like they were coming from far away or hidden under a cloth. It still sounded amazing but it could have been a bit better at this price range.Comfort:As mentioned above, paddings are made out of extremely soft leather material. They are very squishy, smooth, and cushiony on both the headband and ear cups. I had no problems using the headphones for long periods of time and it felt like they were not there, after some time – the headset feels really lightweight. They also stay in place and the headband has 12 levels for adjustments. You can definitely find your fit once you start exploring.Battery:This definitely varies depending on the using habits of headphones. Since I do not use the headphones without the ANC, I cannot make a comment about the 50-hour play time claim. However, I can say that they last around 20 hours with ANC on. They definitely fast-charge with the cable it comes in the box. I love how it is also a USB Type-C cable. Could’ve been Type-C to Type-C instead of Type-A but it still gets the job done and makes life easier.Case:I actually love the case. Unlike other cases with pouches on the side flop, this case stores the cables, and the flight adapter inside right underneath the headphones which is really convenient. A downside is that the divider is sewed on the case so you cannot take it out if you wanted to. One weird side to it is that the zipper unzips from the bottom to the top.
I've had my JBL Tour One for approximately 2 weeks now, and so far I'm very happy with them. I can't speak of the durability, and I also haven't been able to try them yet in one of the settings that I most wanted them for (traveling on a plane), but I've played around with them a fair amount and here are some thoughts:Positives:- Great sound quality (no surprise from JBL): The sound is very clean and clear, good high frequencies and good amount of base for headphones. The frequency range they can play is very wide, which will please audiophiles.- They feel and look high end: The finishes feel luxurious (leather touches, chrome accents, the nice rounded plastic finishes, etc).- Very comfortable to wear: The leather ear cups and head band are super soft, and ... MoreI've had my JBL Tour One for approximately 2 weeks now, and so far I'm very happy with them. The frequency range they can play is very wide, which will please audiophiles.- They feel and look high end: The finishes feel luxurious (leather touches, chrome accents, the nice rounded plastic finishes, etc).- Very comfortable to wear: The leather ear cups and head band are super soft, and they fit comfortably.- Good for phone calls: they are optimized for call quality, with a few microphones to capture voice well. I've used them on work calls and I'm very happy with the result.- The carrying case is sturdy, well designed, and looks elegant.- Noise cancelling: this I haven't been able to test much as I'm not commuting to the office or traveling because of the pandemic, but a couple times I've worn them in the street they've functioned very well. And they have different modes depending on how much ambient noise you want to block.Room for improvement: (these are minor things to be honest. I would maybe subtract half a star if the ratings allowed it, but between 5 and 4 stars I think they're closer to 5 than to 4 for sure)- The Bluetooth pairing button takes some getting used to. At first I wasn't always able to get them to pair. The way I do it now that has been working for me is: when not using the headphones, I leave the Bluetooth button/switch on the top position. When I want to pair with phone I push the switch all the way down, hold for a couple second and release. The switch will return to the middle position, and the blue led should start blinking and it will pair very quickly. When I didn't start with the switch on the top position, it sometimes wasn't going into pairing mode.- The charging connector is a bit too tight- The instruction manual seems like Egyptian hieroglyph. Fortunately these are just headphones so there's not much need for a manual, but it could be much clearer.Overall, very happy with them and feel like a million bucks wearing them haha. Can highly recommend.
I have been using these on a nearly daily basis for about a week now. I use them at work for over 6 hours a day and let me tell you this is where one of the greatest design choices is so helpful. They are incredibly light and grip just perfectly that they almost seem to disappear. I am so glad this was a major focus of the headphone as it doesn't matter if a headphone has the greatest features greatest sound quality if they dont fit right no one will use them.On to the next great positive of this headphone is the noise cancelling along with the talk thru and ambient aware. All these features have been greatly improved over previous models. Peoples voices come in so naturally that it is hard to tell you are wearing headphones. Also the noise cancelling removes a great amount of noise to really give you a quiet listening experience. Even though these are greatly improved I do still feel as if there is room for improvement. One area is the talk thru, when you are having a normal conversation the person you are talking to sounds great but you do hear yourself in mumbled mess. Also the closer a sound is the more it sounds like you are hearing it from underwater or through a pillow. now on the ambient aware I have noticed that sounds like fans, or moving air in general seem to be over exaggerated giving you almost super like hearing for those sounds almost drowning out any other sounds the headphones pick up. Last thing on this is that I wish I could set what the default active noise cancelling choice is on startup. Currently it defaults to actual noise cancellation. However I want it to be off as I work in a fairly quiet place and would rather prefer the battery life over the noise cancellation.Lastly we come to the sound and this is where these headphones need lots of work sadly. I listened for many hours and the whole time I was feeling like the headphones sounded quite muffled and lacking in detail. Also the bass was not as pronounced as on most JBL audio equipment. Also these headphones are lacking in power and do not get too loud. I love the typical JBL sound and these headphones do not really have that sound. I tried to play around with the EQ settings and I got it better but again the bass never had quite a presence, none of that thud you normally get from JBL. Also the detail was never able to be found, that is until I plugged them into my amp. After doing this I got all the power I have ever wanted and I retrieved all the detail I needed, the bass was still a bit lacking but still much better than over wireless. When seeing that the drivers were indeed capable of the sound I expect I started to dig in the bluetooth settings and I found something interesting. These headphones only support the SBC and AAC codecs. These codecs are very lossy and do not reproduce a great sound. I am surprised that with a headphone of such high caliber we do not see AptX or even Ldac quite disappointing. In conclusion these are decent pair of headphones that have great tech and are extremely comfortable. For these ideals alone they are worth looking at, however if you are looking for all out sound quality I say try them wired or look for something that supports higher quality bluetooth codecs.
if you can find these they're a great value at their lower price. high quality, meant to compete at the premium level. discontinued by jbl, so you get a premium product at budget level price.sound quality is amazing imo. rich tones and the lows are spot on.anc is superb. i can listen to music while my wife is watching a movie and not hear a peep. haven't tried it on the bus or train yet but i expect it will do great.build quality is very nice out of the box, but i'm concerned how well these will stand up too heavy use. the ear pads are comfortable, but very soft and feel fragile. and the coating is a nice matte, but it feels like it'll start rubbing off.a for style and comfort.
