I love these headphones and they have quickly replaced all of my previous headphones. The case is so helpful and I love that you can control them without having to open my phone and the app. The sound is crystal clear and I have been using them to attend Teams meetings and have noticed a huge difference from my previous headphones. The sound quality is excellent, especially with the equaliser controls to tinker it to your perfect sound. If you arenât confident with that, there are presets for your liking which work well too. I like that it has all of the pro features like Spatial Audio, ambient aware and adjustable ANC. Normally, any attempt to adjust the earbuds cause unwanted settings changes, but not these. They require an intentional push, almost like a button... it's GREAT! These also seem to fit my ears better. I jog and walk in the woods and most earbuds feel loose or come loose when bouncing on the trail, but these fit comfortably. Of course, the JBL sound is stellar, bringing out notes in music I have never noticed before.Now for the BAD. I dislike this style case. I have fat fingers and have LOTS of trouble removing them from the charging case. I even believe JBL managed to push the sound amplification to a new height with these compared to some of their previous earbuds. The natural sound itself is clean, but one of the coolest things about these (as well as many of their other products) is that you have the option to select from six different genre EQ presets, or you can create and customize your own EQ specific to your taste with the JBL Headphonesâ app built-in 10-band Equalizer. Being able to tailor the sound to your preference is the ultimate luxury.My favorite thing about these, though, has to be its three very impressive noise cancelling features. Thereâs âNoise Cancellingâ which drowns out anything not playing through the earbuds, âAmbient Awareâ which allows you hear sounds in your immediate surroundings while still achieving clear and perfect sound from whatever youâre listening to, and finally â thereâs âTalk Thruâ that allows you to engage in a conversation with someone without the hassle of having to take your earbuds out. The greatest part about âAmbient Awareâ and âTalk Thruâ to me is that you can hear yourself and others perfectly â it doesnât sound muffled at all.Letâs talk comfort: These, for me, are the most comfortable earbuds Iâve ever worn. Iâm sure weâve all worn âbuds that became irritating after a while. I havenât experienced that with these. In fact, these are so lightweight and comfortable that I took a nap with them in (on the âNoise Cancellingâ mode â try it!). I donât find myself having to constantly adjust them by turning them of trying to push them back into my ears â theyâre that comfy. Included in the box are different sizes of extra silicon ear tips as well as some foam ear tips. Mind you, I havenât tried the foam tips yet as the silicon tips are described as most ideal for everyday use â although the foam tips are described to perform better in terms of the âNoise Cancellingâ.Now that weâve talked about sound and comfort â letâs get into the tech features which I consider brilliance at its finest. Probably the most unique thing about these is their technology-based touchscreen charging case. The case is light in weight but so very interactive and powerful to the experience. Thereâs 17 screens (18 if you include itâs sliding âUnlockâ screen so you donât accidently tap a button if carrying these in your pocket) of various amazing features. The main screen shows you the current time, case battery percentage and the battery percentage of bot the left and right earbud. These show at the top of each screen.Once unlocked, the default screen displays what youâre listening to and displays the song title with the artist/band/group name. You can pause what youâre listening to, skip forward/back a song or restart the song youâre currently on (and this applies to videos, too). You may also skip forward/back or pause your song/video by tapping the side of the right earbud.If you swipe left, youâll go to the next screen which allows you to adjust the volume up or down. Unlike other earbuds, thereâs no physical button on the earbuds to adjust the volume, so you must do this from the case or from your Bluetooth device (though you can tap the side of the left earbud to switch between the different noise cancelling sound modes).There are screens to switch between the different noise cancelling sound modes as well as to enable VoiceAware or Spatial Sound. The Spatial Sound allows you to choose between music, video or gaming modes. There are also screens to adjust the EQ and enable âAuto Play & Pauseâ â a feature that will pause what youâre listening to for your choice of duration at the sound of your voice if you were to have a quick conversation with someone.The case has a screen that displays a built-in timer that you can set as a reminder as well as a feature called SilentNow that can be set to automatically activate the Noise Cancelling feature in a certain time. You can also adjust the screen brightness on the charging case and whether or not push-button notifications or message previews for text messages show up on the case. The case also has a flashlight feature that illuminates a brightly lit white screen.A feature I absolutely love is that the charging case comes with 5 Lock Screen preloaded screen savers, including the ability to personalize your case with your own custom screensaver. Youâll need the JBL Headphones app for this feature and it takes about 30 seconds for it to sync your chosen picture to your case. I love love love this feature!A feature I hope not to have to use â yet Iâm super grateful itâs there â is the Find My Buds feature. Tap this (while you buds are out of your ears, of course) and the buds will make a beep sound loud enough for you to locate them.The case also allows you to select your language preference and has 13 options to choose from. Iâm not sure of the official time needed to charge the case, but I can say that I donât believe it is very long and the case seems to hold a really good charge for quite a while. I donât think Iâve seen my battery percentage dip under 50 yet.Included in the box are also two USB-C to USB-C charging cables (one short, one longer), as well as a USB-C to Aux cable.I recommend installing the JBL Headphones app which is available on both iOS and Android devices. The app gives you more a few more features with the ability to customize and personalize your earbuds and charging case even more. There are even features to adjust how you sound to people youâre on a phone call with and separate features to adjust how they sound to you! Really cool if you ask me.All in all â I give these a 10. They are literally perfect in my most honest opinion. Salute to the team of genius minds at JBL for this â Iâm truly in love here.
When I first saw these, I instantly thought I had to have these. Once I decided to get these earbuds, I instantly found out why I shouldn't have bought these. The case is cool, but the function is clunky, useless, and it just gets in the way. When the earbud case is in your pocket, it hits up against your leg or other stuff in there, and when you're on the phone, it hangs up calls, stops music, switches tracks, all kinds of things, it's just overall not good. The case also has weird glitches where the screen will just stay on for hours and not turn off over a period of time, causing the battery to go dead. After updating the software, there's still very noticeable issues with these earbuds. I will be returning these. ANC is OK it's not anything worth the price, Ambient mode is pretty bad also. I'm glad we get different size ear tips with these, but however, they still end up falling out of my ears. They dont stay in while moving or doing any sort of work, You will constantly find yourself asjusting these, especially when listening to music it gets annoying because you want to enjoy your music, but unfortunately, you can't fully enjoy the sounds if they're moving around your ears and not staying in place. I wouldn't recommend these to anyone, I'd say buy something else. Do not be fooled by the technology they put in this with the case its useless and not worth the money. I think the touchscreen on mine already broke. If so, I will not recommend JBL products in the future.

I think the Bose QC Ultra earbuds have an edge over the competition, but they aren't leagues ahead like Bose used to be. The clacking of my office keyboard is quieted, I can't hear people trying to get my attention standing in my office, HVAC systems (indoors and outdoors) are cancelled. I was even walking outside, and a jet plane flew within a 100ft over my head. I couldn't hear it. Like most ANC earbuds/headphones, higher pitched noises come through. But they're still muffled. Passive noise isolation is fine, this is where Sony pulls ahead with their hybrid foam/rubber ear tips. But Sony's actual ANC performance is lower because they heavily rely on making a seal.Comfort is top notch. Fit is going to be different for anyone. What fits one person may not fit the other. The AirPods 2/3/4 and AirPods Pro 1/2 do not stay in my ears, at all. They pop out after just a few seconds. But these, I have a secure fit with them. I have zero comfort or fit issues. I get a good seal from the rubber ear tips, the earbuds rest comfortably in my outer ear, they don't bounce around while I exercise, and they don't require readjustment. They fit my ears and that's rare for me, especially with stem-styled earbuds.Audio quality is solid. They're a little muddy, for my taste, out of the box. But JBL includes an excellent app that lets you EQ the earbuds and adjust other settings. It took a moment, but I tuned the EQ to just how I want. I prefer the audio signature out of these over what Bose offers with their QC Ultra earbuds, even after EQ'ing those. Bass is clearer, highs aren't piercing, and mids are there without being too harsh.Sound stage and instrument separation/placement is solid for earbuds. I've heard worse, with sound coming only from the center of my head. Earbuds can only do so much and I think JBL nailed it with these. They do have a faux Atmos upscaling feature. It's much better than Bose, but I still leave it turned off.Battery life is rated for 8 hours with ANC on, that's better than Apple and Bose. My experience averages out to that. I will get 7.5 hours some times, others I will get 8.5. It depends on my listening environment, volumes, and what I'm doing with the earbuds.The case recharges via USB-C and Qi, it's nice having that built in with earbuds that are $150+ (unlike Bose and their $250+ earbuds). The nice thing about the case is that you can adjust almost every setting, you just can't make your own EQ. You can cycle through preset EQ's, change ANC modes, turn spatial audio on or off (including head tracking), find the earbuds if they aren't in the case (and the playback noise is loud enough to hear), see notifications from your phone, control media playback, see the audio codec being used, control the device your earbuds are paired to (they support multi-point, change volume, switch between different audio modes for rubber or foam ear tips, see the battery level of the earbuds and case in real time, and more.It was handy when first pairing to my iPad. I had already paired these to my iPhone, but I wanted to pair them to my iPad. I didn't have to go through the app, press and hold a button, or put the earbuds in and hold each one. Nope. I just went to the Bluetooth settings on the case and enabled pairing mode. I then saw that my iPhone and iPad were connected.It really is a nice feature and the Tour Pro 3's charging case is no bigger than cases from Beats, Bose, and many other brands. Sure, it's not as small as the AirPods 4 or AirPods Pro 2, but those earbuds are also much smaller than most of the comeptition. I can live with the added size due to the large touch screen.Overall, JBL has a hit on their hand (not a dud like previously mentioned). These have competitive levels of ANC, audio quality is solid and you have access to a 10-band EQ through the JBL app, you get long battery life, call quality is surprisingly solid (these are Teams certified), and the case has more features than most apps.I highly recommend these, even at their full MSRP.
I bought the JBL Live Buds 3 and these Tour Pro 3 on the same day. The Live Buds are $100 cheaper and are better in every way than these. Most importantly, these protrude and are loose no matter what you do. Either they fall out or get pushed out depending on the ear tip size. I used every size of included ear tip and many others that I own including memory foam. The design is terrible. They are heavy and awkward. The fit is so bad that I could not even get the personalization to work in the app. I couldn't get past the step that checks for a "good seal". I tried at least 50 times with all manners of ear tips. Same process worked first time on the Live Buds 3 and on other JBL Buds I own.
