So glad I decided to plump for these headphones! I go through so many cheap pairs of in-ear 'phones because I'm really clumsy, plus I'm autistic and hyper-sensitive to external stimuli, so wireless noise-cancelling headphones seemed like a dream come true. And they are! The adjustable fit and padding make them really comfortable to wear, and they're super-easy to set up - you simply switch them on and pair them with your device. The sound quality is FANTASTIC, crystal-clear and great bass with or without the noise-cancelling option, but the NC is heavenly! Obviously it doesn't block out EVERY sound, but it's significant enough to make me feel as if I'm in a soundproof bubble and has helped enormously with my sound sensitivity, so I'm able to go outside much more. ... MoreSo glad I decided to plump for these headphones! Absolutely delighted with these headphones, well worth the price. Definitely recommend.

The first thing I noticed about these headphones is the cheap quality of the ear pads. The faux leather feels extremely thin and delicate, and I imagine with heavy use the fabric might start to flake off of the ear pads. Although very soft to the touch the fabric has a little bit of crunch and when wearing the headphones the slightest movement can make noticeable noise. The headphone passively cancels ambient sound pretty well, which makes the crunchy noise of the ear pads more noticeable and can get in the way of music at low volumes. The sound quality is fine, but the ear pads can affect it when playing music at low volumes. If not for that issue I'd give this headphone a 5/5, since the sound quality is perfectly reasonable for the average buyer. These ... MoreThe first thing I noticed about these headphones is the cheap quality of the ear pads. I'm a little disappointed in the build quality for this headphone as I've seen better ear pads on cheaper wired headphones. When I'm purchasing >$100 headphones I'm hoping they will last a long time, which I don't see happening with these ear pads. The aux cable JBL provides is also very thin and flimsy, leading me to be concerned about the longevity of that cable. Otherwise, the headphone has a decent plastic build and the hinges feel durable. I love the wireless connectivity and long battery life, as well as the fact that the headphone has ANC. The headphone has a nice weighty feel to it and the only thing holding it back in my opinion are the ear pads and the cable.

Ok, let's get something straight right off the bat. These are not professional quality headphones. If that's what you are looking for then you need to be willing to splash a bit more cash. Now that's been said let's talk about these headphones.Build quality: Whilst these headphones don't exude the feeling of high quality they also do not feel cheap. They are light (I translate that to comfortable with extended use), the padding on the headstrap adds nicely to the overall comfort and the plastic bits are... well, plastic. These headphones are more geared toward a bassy experience than the upper end of the listening experience. Saying that I have to add that it doesn't dissapoint in the mid and upper range, they are just not geared towards it.Over all very happy with my purchase.

JBL LIVE 650BTNC Manufacturer's Defect
14 September 2022

I purchased my initial pair of JBL LIVE 650BTNC Wireless Bluetooth Noise-Cancelling Headphones in December 2019. I really enjoyed the headset, because the sound quality was outstanding. However, the following year the headphones they glitched and would not power off. Luckily it was under warranty, so I was able to get it replaced through Harmon. Unfortunately, today, 2 years later, my replacement headphones experienced the same glitch and will not power off. The customer service gave me a 30% coupon to buy a new pair and a link to get the one I have currently repaired. I believe this is a manufacturing defect. I will not be purchasing another pair.

Unfortunately, the playback and volume controls are nearly impossible to find on the first try, Further down is the conjoined noise cancelling/Bluetooth pairing button, neither of which functions I needed.Battery life is quite good. The headphones provided 18.5 hours of playback with noise cancelling on. While this is 1.5 hours shy of JBL’s listed 20 hours of performance, the fact of the matter is that 18.5 hours is plenty.Playback controls are small and hardly differentiated from one another. If you’re wanting to get the best audio quality from the headphones, use the included 3.5mm cable. One of the more functional features is multipoint connectivity. This allows you to simultaneously connect to two devices and alternate between them. In order to do so, pause media on the primary device and play it on the secondary one. This bass-heavy pair of headphones is great for the average consumer.Where passive isolation falls short, active noise cancelling makes up for lessening low-frequency noise.Isolation is just ok, but when noise cancelling is activated, the outside world fades into the background.Active noise cancelling is turned on by default. The headphones may fold flat or upward to become more compact for transport. If you want great noise cancelling for less, yes. They might not be the clearest sounding headphones, but they are comfortable, portable, and effectively filter out external noise with ANC toggled on. Aside from that, Google Assistant and Alexa integration is a wonderful convenience: having texts read aloud and being able to immediately reply without touching my phone is a joy. That said, if the poor microphone quality is impossible to overlook, They’re lightweight, easy to operate, and have a significantly better microphone.

Nothing wrong with the product but you were no help to me to install it or pair it with my TV!! The man who served me said it would be simple but it wasnt for an over 80 yr old woman with limited IT skills. So I was unablevto use my purchase for nearly 2 weeks until a kindly neighbour helped me out. I purched this sane profuct when I purchased my TV from you a few years ago but it became VERY shabby and eventually woulnt recharge after use. As I am unable to hear many TV programs with out the earphones it was very frustrating that I couldnt listen to my TV for nearly 2 weeks while I waited for a friendly soul to help me out. I am happy with the product but not your service, or lack of it!

Being that I bought them from Walmart for under $50 and had them delivered within three days, I don't think that I could recommend any other. While sound quality is subjective, I've found the bar for Bluetooth chips and sound reproduction to max out at a relatively low price point. If you want better sound, you won't find much more than subjective nuance without switching to wired headphones. The differences in theeffectiveness of noise cancellation is quite apparent. Boes and maybe others offer high and low options for noise cancelling. The JBL sounds similar to the Bose on the low setting. What I mean by this is that they don't block out outside noise as completely or thoroughly as more expensive headphones. This has pros and cons. Personally, I find total noise cancellation Tubi somewhat aggravating and exhausting after 20 to 30 minutes of use. They're simply too effective have you. I appreciate the option but I don't think that it is worth an additional $250. My other complaints about the JBL is the blue LED power indicator light. It's simply too bright and obnoxious. Turn since, if you are wearing glasses it will reflect off the inside of your lens or, if you're laying in bed at night, it will eliminate the entire room. It's all so redundant, the JPL headphones make a signature chime when powered on, connected and disconnected. If you are willing to do so, this can be fixed with a small piece of tape.I am also a fan of comparable Sony models. They cost a little more but to offer better sound cancellation and while I do not think they are made any better, they do have a somewhat more adult looking design.

Worst Headphone Experience Yet

Let me say firstly, the heading for this review is not a joke. This is absolutely horrific.Firstly, the build quality of the device is abhorrent, it’s highly uncomfortable and made with cheap plastics that you’d expect to see in airline headphones or knock off products from non-reputable sources, not the semi-luxury experience I’d expect from a product at this price point, from this retailer. You can tell it costed about $10 to manufacture. As for the sound quality, to be fair, it’s acceptable - no more, no less. There are many different products from different storefronts that are just better at this price point however so I’d suggest looking elsewhere.Secondly, I planned to use these for both travel and at home on my desktop, unfortunately the cord supplied is ... MoreLet me say firstly, the heading for this review is not a joke. This, no doubt, was an unlucky experience but coupled with the first point I had to throw it in. Bluetooth works fine luckily so half the use case is fulfilled, but it’s still annoying to say the least.Lastly, Noel Leeming have a handy little sticker on the box saying it’s unable to be returned due to it being unhygienic. I personally believe they just know the quality of the product is terrible and want to push the blame to the consumer, but that is just opinion and there is no way to say definitively. In summary, do not even consider purchasing this product - I never leave reviews, but I absolutely had to for this product because it’s nothing less than daylight robbery that this is still on the market at all.

i've had these headphones for less than an hour and already very satisfied - i have a long distance partner who almost started crying at how well he could hear me through these headphones. i didn't get these for the microphone quality (actually, from reviews i'd read previously i thought it wouldn't be too good) but just this is enough to make this worth the money. the sound quality is good too, noise cancelling hasn't been tested yet but it is worth noting from what i've seen that it does slightly block the actual headphone sound. i'd also say they're also slightly on the small side as i have them on the largest size setting and they only just fit me (though i may have a big head. not too sure). overall, definitely worth it in my opinion.
