I have been delighted by the Jean Paul Gaultier Scandal Absolu fragrance from start to finish! It comes in beautiful red velvet packaging, so you get the sense that this is a luxury item even before you see the actual product. The packaging of the perfume bottle itself is loyal to the packaging from Jean Paul Gaultier that we've all come to associate specifically with this brand, which is always a nod to the male or female form (in this case - women's legs). First of all, can we talk about that BOTTLE?! Wow is it gorgeous- right down to the box that it is packaged in. I love the sexy legs on the cap and the ombré gold into amber for the bottle. I really enjoyed trying out this perfume! First of all, I love the packaging it is such a cute bottle and it really looks great in my collection! It has a really nice sultry scent profile and gives a more mature scent (I'm in my early-mid 20s) than my other perfumes. I definitely get the tuberose and floral scents with a subtle musk and sandalwood that gives it that sultry quality in the first spritz. It then goes fruity and powdery within a couple minutes and the dry down is sweet. Longevity is about 8-12 hours with a spritz on skin and it is definitely more of an intimate smell that doesn't project but is really nice when someone is close enough to smell it. It feels very expensive and the cap is also quite heavy. The bottle is beautiful. I feel that it looks like a fancy bottle of rum or something like that. Overall, very impressed with the packaging.
