Set up took about 10 minutes and was very easy, as I followed the videos on JetBlack. The trainer is excellent. Very quiet and sturdy when sprinting. It takes about 5 minutes to warm up the fluid. I can change into my highest gear and sprint standing up. So glad I bought this trainer.

All sensors including heart rate sensor are tracked in the old Garmin Fenix 3 hr.Tried to upgrade to shimano pedals and shoes but had poor customer experience from the store I visited. Really hope 99 bikes pay more attention at the importance of customer service

I was unlucky enough to receive a faulty trainer which had an annoying vibration period. Vanilla Bikes were aware I was very reliant on having the trainer to help with rehab' following an unfortunate cycling accident in which I broke my femur (wear hip protection!) and arranged delivery of a replacement the day after the faulty one was collected, which I am happy to say, is smooth and quiet. I agree with the other positive reviews. Time will tell in respect of durability but it certainly feels and looks well made. I was unable to get the free software working with my Android phone but no real problem as my speed and cadence sensors + heart monitor provide enough info' for me to pore over on Strava ; )
It has done what it promised to do in terms of enabling me to get started on Zwift. Was kind of disappointed that the speed and cadence sensor were an added cost extra. Also it developed a noisy bearing within the first week of usage. Currently waiting to hear back from JetBlack as to whether this is covered under their 'lifetime warranty'.
The Z1 is really easy to set up if you have a standard sized bike, simply slot the axle bolts into the frame, align the roller, adjust and go.What impresses me most is the lack of noise. No problem with watching TV or music at a quiet volume and my neighbours in the flat below don't notice anything.Jetblack market the Z1 as having an app for workout sessions however they don't make clear you need to purchase a Bluetooth accessory approx. £50 before you can link the Jetblack and monitor your workout. This is my only complaint so far.
I've had this trainer for a few days now. I found it fairly straightforward to set up and now it's a quick and easy job to slot the bike in and out. I bought it because it's quiet and am not disappointed - quite simply I can use it and watch TV at the same time to stop boredom setting in. Now that the weather is cold and windy I'm sure I'll be using it a lot - no interruptions to the training schedule. Vanilla Bikes is excellent value for money. I'm a happy customer and would recommend both supplier and equipment.
This is a good entry level wheel on trainner. Its not very noisy at all and the quick release system works well. Worst luck the app that you can use with jetblack is terrible and not worth the download. If you want a good entry level trainner its worth looking into it.
This is a very good trainer for people like me who are more interested in simply improving and maintaining cycle fitness and having a wet weather fallback rather than in playing with Zwift and the like.The resistance increases exponentially, unlike my old magnetic trainer, and provides a much more realistic feeling workout.It's also much quieter.Top marks to the team at Pushys Brisbane for having it delivered on Christmas Eve as I was in self isolation at the time and really needed the exercise.
I'm delighted with the turbo which arrived very promptly and securely. I'd read a review about it and it absolutely suits my simple requirements, which don't include faffing about with power meters and Zwift connections! It looks like a good product and I was interested to note that it must not be used with a turbo-specific tyre so far simpler to put a bike on it and it caters for both rim and disc brake wheels. Thank you VanillaBikes for the discounts too!
