Great item! Save you so much money compared to the Sony official one. Exact same features! As I had original Sony one but I lost it. Really great buy! Just wished it had batteries included like the Sony. Just a bit of added hassle. Also the build quality is not as good. But still great great purchas

What a blessing this remote is for me and my camera. It is a snap to connect to camera Blue Tooth. I have tried the range of the remote and at 80-100 feet it still works perfectly. I have considered an intervalometer but I just didnt need all the things one does (Rx100 M7 has time lapse anyway) or the finicky connection of one with a wire which would jiggle camera or using a bulky add-on wireless receiver. All functions of remote work with my Rx100 m7 including "B" (bulb) mode although remote has no shutter button "hold" for bulb,this has to be done manually. Prefocus and "shoot" on button work same as on camera. Easy to use and a very good acessory
I have recently purchased it and so far so good.
This is a Chinese cheep production. I use it since I bought it already for about three times of the price. It is not completely reliable it misses once in a while, you need to check and make sure it is working every time you trigger it. I am looking for a better one..

1) There is a new Version 2 of this remote, same look and part number, version info is often missing, even on the JJC web site. V2 includes A74 in the compatibility list. I got V1, which does not work with the A74 model. 2) After looking through several youtube threads and asking some questions, reliability of the JJC BTR-S1 has come into question. Especially regarding going into sleep mode after a short time and having to double press to wake or having to reconnect again to the camera. Not good when waiting for just the right moment to take a shot :(
