I got a pair of Epic Air Sport ANC, to replace problematic Skull Candy buds. What a difference! Loved them. Recommended them to friends, and lost them in less than a year. I searched and waited one month, hoping they would show up. I planned on replacing them with the same buds, but the store had these dual drivers, too. I went for the upgrade. I'm glad I did. The sound is exquisite! I'm still experimenting with the controls, but they're familiar and super easy. I prefer a custom sound. The equalizer gives me lots of possibilities. I don't like the increase in case size, but that's the only negative. Maybe, i can hold onto these a little longer.

Almost great

These are so close to perfect but they don't reach far enough into my ear to seal and deliver solid bass, and with no seal this means ANC is useless. However if I gently push on them to hold them in place they do seal and deliver brain rattling bass (in bass boost mode) and ANC does work..... If I'm physically holding it in. So that's why I took off 1 star. This could be fixed if the bud stem could swivel on the ear mount to give it that little extra degree of movement. I've got medium sized ears so if you have large ears don't get these. The over the ear bit does hold them in place perfectly and comfortably, but again, this is what makes it not fit into my ear canal as far as it should. So assure from mediocre bass and no effective ANC, the sound is fantastic, ... MoreThese are so close to perfect but they don't reach far enough into my ear to seal and deliver solid bass, and with no seal this means ANC is useless. I recommend these buds for a few reasons.....

For one, they fit perfectly in my ears. By perfectly, I mean that a great deal of buds require that you push the bud into your eardrum and move it around a bit and then MAYBE, you will find the right position to maximize the volume and sound quality during your listening experience. If you DO find the right position, frequently they won't remain in place. With the Epic Sport Buds you have MUCH less problem finding the right position and they WILL stay in place because of the shape they are. Beyond that, the built in equalizer allows you to select from a few preprogrammed EQ settings or customize your own using a multi range equalizer. It allows you to program your favorite High, Mid & Low combination. Finally, the charging method is exceptional. It uses a unique USB ... MoreFor one, they fit perfectly in my ears. Improvement and sound quality but no lost ebud feature.
24 October 2024

I was waiting for this version because I heard they had two drivers. I currently have an earlier version of the sport earbuds with noise cancellation and although I like them the sound is flat the sound in this upgrade version is richer but you do have to use the equalizer app to tune it to your choices. The differences between the two units is noticeable but not significant I would actually say the older system has a larger ear hook actually holds your bud firmer in your ear. Noise cancellation is only average and it does not have a finder earbuds function which I find very useful. If you’re an Apple user I think you’re better off-line AirPods with the find it feature.

Like my previous version but they has issues.
2 October 2024

I have a previous version of these, the ANC 1, and they are great. They are pretty nice with good sound and intuitive controls. The app has some good options. I would love to see a list o f some of the innovations made on this version? My pair are great but there were issues. Most recently the ear loops broke and I had to glue them. I hope they were made more resilient and the dirt screens were made more strongly attached.

So far, so good!
14 November 2024

They arrived quickly by USPS when my wife happened to be out of town and had the mailbox key with her. I've been using them intermittently for a couple of days and have had no problems. The sport model was definitely a better choice for me because I move around a lot. The gift giver didn't realize that. I'll definitely let you know if there are any issues despite the warranty from the gift no longer in place. Thanks for at least honoring the warranty despite me not having the receipt because it was a gift. Best regards, George

Absolutely love the JLab Epic Sport ANC3 headphones! The sound quality is incredible, with rich bass and crisp highs. The Active Noise Cancellation works wonders, blocking out distractions during workouts. They’re also super comfortable for long listening sessions. Battery life is impressive, lasting all day. Highly recommend for anyone looking for top-notch performance in a sporty design! Five stars!

Entire reason to purchase is HiRes support, but they will not stay on LDAC. EVERY time they connect I must go to phone developer options and select LDAC, yet again. They reset to AAC every time they connect to the phone. Anker headphones have no such issue. Also, you cannot power them off without either putting into the charging case or turning off bluetooth on your phone and waiting 3 minutes, which is pretty terrible design. They don't sound terrible for earbuds, IF you go to developer options on EVERY connection and set the codec to LDAC. But, the JLab app has no way to set this, which makes it basically useless for anything but updating firmware. Very glad I got a sale price.

I already own a set of the Epic Lab Edition so when I saw this I was honestly curious as to why it was basically half the price for similar technology but a different form factor. Also I very much wish JLab would start to get more focused with their product lines and naming scheme because I was incredibly confused when I saw this as well as the "JBuds Sport ANC 4" except the 4's were technically older than the 3's, but then realize that the "logic" is that there's a... Separation between the "Sport" and the "Epic Sport" that's technically part of the "Epic" line, but technically the "Epic" line does not share similarities with previous "Epic" earbuds that also had the "Epic Air" and "Epic Air Sport". Separation between the "Sport" and the "Epic Sport" that's technically part of the "Epic" line, but technically the "Epic" line does not share similarities with previous "Epic" earbuds that also had the "Epic Air" and "Epic Air Sport". Apparently now the "Epic" include dual driver technology, except when it applies to the "Epic Work" and the other "Epic" peripherals like keyboards, mice and microphones. I know you don't ready these reviews JLab but please fix this. It's difficult to keep up with what any of the product line titles and what they are even supposed to mean when you meaninglessly slap them onto a bunch of other things that it basically seems like you closed your eyes and threw darts at sticky notes to come up with the names.Packaging is what you can expect, but what I didn't expect is how to charge this. It has three different ways to do it... For some reason. I'm honestly not complaining because it has wireless charging or wired charging two different ways; a usb port and a usb c male cable. Other than that it's a standard affair with extra ear tips but not as fancy as the other "Epic" buds. And not to mention just how incredibly large the charging case is. Yes it can technically fit in the palm of your hand, but you might as well be carrying a river stone in your pocket with the only upside being that is isn't as heavy as a rock. I understand that the size needed to be increased because of the hooks... But you aren't fitting this in a normal pocket. You either need cargo pants or toss them in your bag.Sound quality is actually quite great, however getting proper fit can be a bit tricky. With the Lab Edition buds you just have the buds and nothing else to position them however you want in your ears is whatever. With the Epic Sports and their ear hooks, the angle of attack can drastically affect the comfort of these and how they interact with the soft flesh of your ears. Sure the hooks are rubbery, but that doesn't mean much if they're persistently pressed against the protruding cartilage from your head. For the times that I could manage a good seal and comfortable enough fit, the sound is just great and on par with the Epic Labs. Plus you can always tune them in the JLab app and also alter the controls. I do greatly appreciate the swipe up or down to increase or lower volume which opens up other controls so you can play/pause, turn on/off anc and be aware mode and so on. I did not test the anc since it tends to give me a headache but I do enjoy the be aware setting. It isn't on par with Apple's tech but nothing else ever is, but it is serviceable in case you need to hear an announcement or a friend/coworker talking to you. I also read that trying to get LDAC is a bit of a pain, I personally have not been able to discern the difference because I don't use applications that fully take advantage of the higher bandwidth or whatever the advantage of LDAC is supposed to be. I just listen to music and videos through youtube and whatever these buds pump out is good enough for me.So at the end of the day? Wait for a sale, don't pay full price. Be wary of the size of the case and the "comfort" of the sporty ear hooks and these will work out just fine for you.
