I do not detect any difference between the two. Music and voices are clear and full sounding. People on the Zoom calls said my voice seemed natural and sounded clear. Also hard to believe is that is no MUTE anywhere on the headset. This is a huge problem when sharing a screen or screens in Zoom and have to MUTE quickly. It can take some time to get to the ZOOM page to MUTE. This is a major oversight. It should also be noted that the boom mic can be rotated so as to be on the left or right. If you have it on the left the boom covers some of the control buttons. What makes this headset claim the extra star is that it can have two simultaneous Bluetooth connections, otherwise it would be just another basic headset.

I’ll start by saying that even though I’m giving these a 5 star rating, don’t expect to be blown away by their sound quality. I’d say that considering what these headphones bring to the table / at the price point they are in, they kind of deserve a five star rating but I also don’t want to steer people in the wrong direction because I could see some people being disappointed with these if they see a five star. Anyway.. I digress. These Jlab headphones have throwback style reminiscent of the headphones that used to come with walkmans in the 90s. So they give me a lil smile / nostalgic trip. They feel pretty similar to those lol. The cushions dont really cover your ears, they just sit on your ear and the sound spills out. Build quality is good, the headband is all metal and the earcups are connected with stiff and rigid plastic. The fabric over the earcups feels like the sponge material the old headphones used to come with but these are definitely made better and will last longer. The microphone can swivel in either direction so you can position it on the left or right side of your head. The earcup doesn’t seem to have a mute button for the microphone, and a power button and volume buttons. Sound quality isn’t going to blow anyone’s mind. But they sound pretty decent. They definitely remind me of the old headphones I had with all my old walkmans. You cant feel much bass through these, but mids and treble sound clean and crisp. I’d say they say their sound profile is is on the flatter side with a hint of bass. What these headphones do excel at is voice communication. I used them in a phone call, PlayStation and Discord chat apps and my friends voices came through very loud and clear. They said my voice came through loud and clear as well. Battery life is great. I’ve yet to charge them even though I’ve used them for at least 6/7 hours over the last couple days. It comes with a usb c cable for charging. Would I recommend these? If you want a great microphone and earphones for working from home / chatting or podcasting. I would say sure! The microphone is pretty good and they get the job done for just about everything else. They don’t have amazing sound quality but it’s nice to just keepOne pair of headphones on when working / chatting / occasional music listening and it’s always fun to have some nostalgic gadgets around the place to use and share.

It is easy to control your music tracks, volume, and answering calls from the three buttons on the bottom of the ear cup. I would recommend these as value-priced headphones.

Great Value Proposition

Summary: When I review a product I usually try to determine if a product is a good value for the money. Premium products may be a bit different, but in this case I can unequivocally say that these are a good value. I thoroughly enjoyed using this product.Details:- Packaging was good. There was one Type A to Type C cable provided. It is cyan blue in color, matching the color of the box, which you may or may not like, but it is fine for me. There is a brief pamphlet/Users Manual. It is more of a Quick Start Guide, but that is really all you need for a simple product such as this. It is also easily downloaded in case you want a digital copy.- Setup could not have been more simple. I was able to connect via multipoint to two different devices quickly. Multipoint is one of the reasons I rate this as a good value.- Performance is very good. Sound quality on calls is excellent. Music audio quaility is acceptable but if I am rating for value, it is good for an inexpensive device like this. I would not use these for serious music listening (or should these be expected to), but for the ease, convenience and price, it is a darn good value. Battery life seemed to match the 50 hours rating....I was able to use these for about a business week (not continuously) without recharging and I think that is good. The controls were fairly standard but good, intuitive and they worked well with both calls and music control.- Comfort was really good. They only have a metallic wire fitting over your head, where more expensive products have something more elaborate. But this meant a very light feeling headset which is perfect for long listening. I have a more expensive device but that comes at a weight disadvantage. I have a fairly big head, and they never felt tight.- There are some tradeoffs with such an inexpensive device like this, There is no mute button on the unit (and certainly no corresponding light the shows you are on mute) like there is on JLAB's incrementally more expensive product. The sound is not very loud compared to my other device. Also, there is no removable ear cup as there is on JLAB's product that costs twice as much. If these things are important to you, I recommend spending the additonal $10 or $40 for those products. These tradeoffs however do not outweigh my 5 star value proposition.Bottom line: a great device for the money and I recommend this especially since it is lightweight, had multipoint capability, and good call sounds. But perhaps spend an addtional $10 and deal with the additional weight (~70g) to get the next unit up in JLAB's product line for a bit better build quality, louder sound and the important mute button/indicator.

Still, they somehow manage to pack some premium features in there as you'll see in my review.Overall build=================================Unlike the other version, this Go Work POP is a bit more simple, with an exposed metal headband, thinner plastic arms/earpieces, and foam ear pads instead of the "leather"-like ones on the non-POP model. Still, this version is cheaper and we should expect a few changes. In the box, you'll get just one cable: a USB-A to USB-C charging cable. With up to 50 hours of "work time" that's plenty of time in-between charges, and even I wouldn't worry about charging it everyday. The earpads are foam and are stretched over a deeper opening, so if you push gently you can feel some space in there. That's a good thing for comfort or those with smaller ears. More color choices are available including Teal and Lilac! I just go the black/grey but that's perfect for an office headset. The side with the mic (you can swivel it to use on either side of your head) has a power/pairing button and volume up/down which can also be used for other functions if you hold the buttons down. It's laid out well in the manual.I let the headset charge and when it was done, I was ready to test!Performance=================================Pairing these was very easy and I was pleased to see they also support multipoint! That's right, even on this "budget" model you can have this paired to your work computer and your phone for quick switching. That means you can pair two devices and switch between them easily. Some higher-end offerings lack this and it's extremely convenient for using a headset that's connected to your computer and your phone. When a call comes in, you're ready - regardless of the device you need to answer on!First, I paired this with my work laptop (a MacBook Pro M1) easily via Bluetooth, then I turned off Bluetooth and paired it with my work phone (Pixel 6a). After that, I was good to go on either device!I'm in Zoom and Team calls constantly throughout the day/week so I was able to do a lot of real-world testing.Whether it was Teams or Zoom, there was no problem using the headset and I noticed that it was a tiny bit lighter than the non-POP headset. If I add up all the meeting time, I'm on somewhere between 6-12 hours of virtual meetings every week, with some rare weeks with even more meeting time. This last week was around 10-11 hours of video calls and the JLabs had no issue. I underestimated how much I'd like the wireless aspect since I'm often using the laptop's built-in mic with the built-in speakers. That's convenient for not wearing any device, but sometimes I feel I have to get a little "shouty" to be heard clearly. With the JLab GO Work POP headset, I could just speak conversationally with no issues being heard. Also, for calls where I wasn't on video, I could actually walk around, get some steps in, etc. without needing to be at my desk "just in case" someone asks me something.I still charged it at the end of the week, but there's no "charge anxiety" here. You should be able to get through a normal work week with no problem unless you happen to be working longer hours or listening to music in addition to meetings.Sound-wise, they sound pretty good! Bluetooth is more convenient than it is high-quality, but for speech in meetings, it's great. The mic was great with no complaints from my co-workers nor on my "self test" with the Zoom and Teams meeting tools. Sure it's not as good as a dedicated RODE mic I have, but it sounds perfectly fine for video calls. I have plenty of other headsets for music, but these are great for listing to your training videos, podcasts, etc. Since you can switch between voice (focused on speech) or music (better audio quality) I think most people would consider them just fine for music as well!My ears aren't ideal for these types of headsets since they stick out. As with the non-POP ones, I was surprised with how comfortable these were due to the swiveling ear cups. Not only can they swivel to sit flat and be packed away, they can swivel slightly in the other direction to accomodate more ear/head fits. Conclusion=================================For the price, getting a long-lasting headset with good call quality and BT multipoint makes this JLab GO Work POP Wireless On-ear Headset a great choice for working from home or general office usage.

These aren't too bad though, since they're so light and there is a thin strip of rubberized material on the headstrap so that your head isn't on metal. There is no dedicated left or right for this set, the boom mike rotates to either side, so you can have the mike on whichever side you want (or lift it up so it's out of the way if you're not using it). This headset connects to your devices with Bluetooth. I was able to pretty easily connect with several devices, including Android phones, a Smart TV, a Windows desktop and a couple of Windows laptops. The only device that had any issues was the Windows desktop. Once connected to the desktop, if I moved around or even moved my head, the sound was interrupted. Since this only happened with one device, it likely was an issue with the desktop's Bluetooth. All the other devices had good sound even when across the room from the device. This headset would benefit from more buttons, but since it's a small set, I can understand why they opted not to. The Power button turns the set on and off, answers/rejects calls, plays/pauses music, contacts Siri or Google and connects via Bluetooth. The length or number of presses of the Power button is what decides what you're doing, which can be confusing. I think most people would opt to control most things from their device rather than the headphones.Using the headphones and boom mike for phone calls is easy once paired with your phone. The calls sound clear and I was told by people I spoke with that my voice was clear as well.Charging is done with an included USB-C to legacy USB cable. Once charged, the headphones hold a charge for a long time, since I used it for a lot of music listening and TV watching and was only down to 80 percent.

Not worth what you pay

I’m trying out the Jlab Go Work Pop wireless on-ear headset. Overall I have mixed impressions. I have other JLab headsets that I have used a lot, and these don’t stand up to the others.First, I’ll talk about the features. The headphones have a metal strap connecting the 2 ear pieces. A microphone is mounted on the right ear piece. In addition to the microphone, the right ear piece also has 3 buttons, the power on/off button and volume up and down buttons. There is also a USB-C charging port and an LED status indicator. The ear pieces turn left and right but up and down can only be done by adjusting the headstrap. The buttons can be used in combination with each other, or pressed multiple times, or held for periods of time. The buttons can be used in combination with each other, or pressed multiple times, or held for periods of time. This give you the ability to increase/decrease volume, track forward, track backward, power on/off, play/pause/answer/hangup calls, reject calls, activate Siri or “Ok Google”, pair the Bluetooth and switch the EQ between Voice and Music. You will want to keep the manual handy for a while so you can remember how to do each of the functions.Unfortunately, these headphones have a number of issues. The first issue is the covering on the earpieces. While I would expect them to be soft foam, the foam is rather stiff and uncomfortable. The steel headband is nice and lightweight, but also not very comfortable on the head. The microphone rotates over 180 degrees so it can be on the right side or left. When used on the left, the stereo sound is backwards. It’s not a huge issue, but something to take into consideration. Another issue is the lack of a mute option on the microphone. My final issue is the sound quality. People commented that the microphone gave kind of a mechanical effect to my voice. This is likely due to the noise cancelling on the microphone. The sound itself, isn’t very good, even for an inexpensive set of headphones like these. The sound is very muddy. There is very little treble and the bass isn’t clear. As much as I like some of my other JLab headphones, I can’t recommend these. They have too many drawbacks that a headphone for just $10 more doesn’t have.

Too basic

I work remotely and spend several hours a day on my phone or on video conference calls. I like using a headset so I can keep my hands free to type. I found this JLab headset and decided to try it. When the phone is not in use, it connects to the computer for use with video conferences like Zoom or GoTo. When a call comes in or is placed on my phone, it automatically switches to it. This is a great feature and makes this headset easy to use in my home office environment.I have a few minor complaints about this headset. The biggest is that it lacks a mute button. I know I can use the mute feature of my conference call software or phone, but having an easy to locate and activate mute function is really important to me. Another thing is that the earpieces are a bit small and the padding is not very thick, so I get a lot more ambient noise than I’d like. When I tried the next model up, the “Office” version, it solved both complaints with a mute button and larger, more thickly padded earpieces. I will say that other than the ambient sound intrusion of the Pop headset, both sound equally good.My advice is to skip this one and spent the extra few dollars on the Office model.

With the sea change into zoom/teams/etc, we have all had to learn what works for us. I find that I prefer not to have things on my ears, but sometimes my environment isn’t conducive to that. Also as someone who is neurodivergent, I can tell you that lag from a headset is a terrible experience for me. I appreciate that this headset can be wired or wireless. The Bluetooth connected up easily enough, but the lag makes it almost unusable for calls, as I often find myself accidentally interrupting or talking over others. This won’t cut it for long term use. Wired is a different story however, and it does help to have a full headset for louder environments. I personally don't care for the 90s Walkman exposed metal vibe, but it might work for others well enough. I find after testing these I would prefer to use a speakerphone or a nicer/less laggy pair of wireless ones, rather than have myself tethered by thin and somewhat short headphone cables.
